  • How to travel through the ☕ Zona Cafetera:
    www.indietraveller.co/colombi...
    The region known as the Zona Cafetera, the coffee zone, or the coffee triangle is one of the most fun parts of Colombia to explore! Join me on my journey as I stop in various coffee towns including Jerico, Jardin, Salamina, Pijao, and Filandia.
    My hard-won lessons to help you get out there and travel:

    This video will show you some off-the-beaten-path places in Colombia that are not on the usual travel trail. Towns like Jardin and Filandia are wonderful alternatives to the busier and more touristy Salento. I also visit the Barbas Bremen Nature Reserve to see red howler monkeys. This zona cafetera travel guide will show you how much fun it is to hop around this region in Colombia.

    I wish I saw your travel video before I went to Salento and Filandia. I've seen many,but you went to places I didn't know existed. Totally awesome!

    I have a friend from the U.S.A working as a tour guide in the coffee region. I wish to go there someday to visit the place, to try the food and to enjoy of the jungle too.

      Colombia will positively surprise you, and most of the people have never been to the jungle, I did, there is a beautiful jungle in Chocó, where the whales go to have their babies.

    Brilliant video mate. I'm a frequent visitor to Colombia as my wife is from the coffee zone. If you ever get the chance take a trip to La Guajira, it truly is superb there.

      Thanks for your nice comment! I sadly had to cut la guajira due to lack of time but I'm hoping to go there next time

    OMG, your blog and CZcams Channel should be the hidden gem!! Thank you so much for making efforts to film all these amazing videos and add many meaningful descriptions. Love your content so much and really appreciate your philosophy about traveling. These unpopular areas are the places which display how locals live and how magic happens. Audience from Taiwan!!! Hope one day you will visit here 🇹🇼

    You can tell the level of accurate info you're going to get when the video starts with an explanation of the Coffee Triangle as Bogota - Medellin - Cali .... boy oh boy.

    • @indietraveller
      @indietraveller  Před 7 dny

      Search google for a definition of the coffee triangle and that is like result no 2 or 3. I now know it's manizales/pereira/armenia so I'm sorry for that inaccuracy!

    You need to visit Caldas. Manizales, Manzanares, the east of Caldas has beautiful mountains and termales. Great video of Colombia ❤ I’m from ( La zona cafetera).

    Just discovered your channel. Love it! I am trying to understand if there is a way of going from Jardin to Jerico without having to take a 6 hours bus. If a understanding it well, it can be made on those Chivas, right? How long would it take ? Thank you !

    I would love to know if someone can back up what I heard about that little palm tree! Watching this back it seems implausible that it would take years for such a tiny plant to grow, but that's what the gardener told me 😅

    I actually learned of your blog before I found your youtube videos as I was researching Colombia! Both contents are nicely complementary to each other. Did you go to Salamina from Manizales or Medellin? If Medellin, can you please share what transport you took to get there (as detailed as possible). Thank you!

    • @indietraveller
      @indietraveller  Před 10 měsíci +1

      I went there via Manizales, which seems to be the easiest option as there are many buses/taxis from there. I've heard you can get from Medellin to Aguadas and from there take local transport to Salamina, but I haven't done this myself.

    Who did you do your jeep tour with?

    • @indietraveller
      @indietraveller  Před 10 měsíci +1

      That wasn't a tour but a form of public transport. But I believe there are jeep tours in Jardin and salento
