  • Welcome to the Maha Mrityunjaya Temple in Purigudam, Assam! This magnificent Hindu temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and boasts the world's largest Shiva Linga, standing tall at 126 feet.
The temple's history dates back to 2003 when construction began under the guidance of Acharya Bhrigu Giri Maharaj. He chose this sacred location based on the belief that the revered guru Shukracharya once performed religious rites for the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra here in ancient times.
In February, the temple was inaugurated with a grand Prana Pratishtha festival, featuring the participation of around 250 priests from Tamil Nadu. Since then, the Maha Mrityunjaya Temple has been open to the public, welcoming devotees and visitors alike.
