Thanks for your videos, Berrie. I just bought the latest FeelTech 6800 (same as your JDS model, but with newer firmware), partly based on your last video review of it. I already had the VICTOR VC3165 which we see again in this video and glad to know it really is accurate with it's crystal oven!

Great! Thanks for the complete demonstration
    Very wel explained

Lets turn this around...can this be used to inject a signal to an AM/FM receiver for alignment purposes? For instance, IF alignment. If so, how do you modulate a signal and send it to a receiver?

So, here is a question. Is this signal generator accurate enough to setup a transceiver ore a communication receiver?
Thanks in advance. A simple reaction will suffice.

it could be used as a vfo for a simple receiver, but expect some phase noise.

All very nice but why not open the coupler?!! Show us what's inside.

Can one make a composite waveform by adding sine wave frequencies within the device's bandwidth, from the PC software provided with this device?

So far I never played with the software. This evening I looked into the arbitrary wave form generator. I found I could make a sinewave and put it aside, and add another sine wave on top of it. As a result I could create an AM modulated signal. The software seems to work, but it's not easy. For simple signals it might be easier to set a sine wave on each channel and combine it by wiring the 2 outputs together with a small resistor network. How does this answer your question? If needed I can play a bit more with it, but I'm quite busy, so it would take some days or weeks before I get to it.

I have seen another video showing the sculpting of a waveform to an arbitray shape, and wonder whether its able to generate a waveform consisting of user selected fourier components, not AM modulation. From your reply, the arbitrary capability of this instrument is quite limited. Thanks for your explanation.

I thought I heard you say that you sell the device that you connect between the Comte output to dummy load? If so, could you tell me about that? WH6DQU

John Parker sorry John, purpose is to demo the equipment. Nothing's for sale..
