In this playthrough David proudly plays his Schecter Reaper 7 string guitar modded with Fishman Fluence Modern pickups through an Axe Fx 3. On the other side Nico plays an Ibanez RGD71-ALMS through a digital signal chain based on Neural DSPs Archetype Gojira amp sim. Both are playing on a 25,5"-27" scale length using D'Addario's NYXL strings and Dunlop Tortex picks.

Banger! BTW what are the pickups on the Reaper-7? Are these Fishmans Modern Fluence? Cuz I can see they are not the stock Decimators
My bad - haven’t checked tge description! I’ve thought of changing the stock Decimators to FFM one day and thanx to you I can see and hear the result
Could you please advise on what FFM exactly are used for Reaper-7? As far as I know - you can’t install the basic 7 string humbuckers on a multi-scale guitar. Thank you in advance!
Hey man, thank you for checking out the playthrough! 🙌🏻 I decided to get the FFM 8 string version in the reaper. Additional routing by a luthier is definitely needed because the FFM 8 are slightly larger than the cavity of the stock pickups. I decided to get the optional battery pack installed.
I really like the active sound and feel. With the FFM you get more output and growl in the sound. The stock pickups aren’t bad but I like the FFM better.
@@david_hstg Man, much appreciated! I personally believe FFMs are a golden standart for a modern metal tone. So good to see and hear the guitar I also have with such a fire upgrade!
