Good work, Ole! Keep it up.

I appreciate the video! Not trying to bash or anything, just really want to hear what you have to say and the music made that difficult. The voice audio is a little echoey or something that made that even harder to hear. Or, you could put in subtitles that would help a ton. Anyways, thank you again for this great explanation.

Hey, thanks for the feedback! Several viewers have commented on similar audio issues. I will try my best to make the sound more clear in future videos and see if I can mitigate the problems with already posted ones. What particular duration of the video are you referring to?

  • @randomelectronicsanddispla1765

Really good video. Would you consider posting copies without the music? It makes it a bit difficult to understand what you say at times.

Thank you! I have had a few viewers commenting the same thing about the music, so I may dial it down or remove it in future videos.

Thanks for this video. Very informative. I was doing SRS in hollow core fibers filled with gas, what you do here is different and very intersting. Thanks again thumbs 👍 👌

    Better without music.
Put some curtains up to absorb the echoing audio.

It’s a good talk. I want to get the code to model for my homemade Raman amplifier 😜 There are some complexities if you use forward Raman pump. One potential problem could be normally pump is around 1420nm for C band Raman Amplifier which suffers from a higher attenuation

I am glad you liked it! A link to the code notebook is available in the description. If you upgrade it with more features (such as better modelling of attenuation and more pumps), please feel free to share your results.

    Great video! Thanks!
You're really smart with em waves, but not so much with sound waves 😅
Bad audio quickly ruins a viewers experience.

Thank you very much! Multiple viewers have commented on the sound quality and for that reason my most recent videos have no music. I think the problem is that I, having made the videos, always know what I am saying, but someone watching for the first time might hear it differently. It could even be a good idea to have someone "proof watch" my uploads before they are published. "You live, you learn", I guess :-)

@@yourfavouriteta the voice volume is too low on your vids.
      Even without music.
I don't mind the music, but a lot of people do.
One of your vids your voice volume was so low I had to turn my tv halfway up.
Then the next it was a bit louder, but not clear.
It's not your accent or the way you speak.
      It's the mic 🎤 that's the issue.
I think if you invest in a better mic you'll be sorted.
Definitely worth it with the content that you create here.
Thanks again for making the effort to teach others like myself.
      Much appreciated.

@@DeezNutz-ce5se Hey, thanks for the detailed feedback. I use a "Snowball" microphone from the brand "Blue", which is supposed to be decent for audio recording; at least it should be better than a cheap headset microphone or the one built in to my laptop. Recordings are done using OBS Studio. If you have any suggestions for how I might use these tools better please let me know. Maybe it's a simple matter of moving the mic closer to my mouth.
