Well, some months ago, you recommended Gamma Ocho XP with Hyper G soft in the crosses. I am really enjoying that in my Ezone 100 although I really don’t have elbow issues.
I strung them both at 54 lbs. since I have a reel to use up of Kirschbaum Evolution, I will try that in the crosses also. I know the Hyper G tends to bag out -probably sooner than my Evolution anyway.

The best I've ever used is the Yonex Poly Tour Pro 17 gauge at 48 to 51. I've tried all the others, Hyper G, Champion's Choice, Alu Power Rough, RPM Blast, Cyclone, etc. The Yonex was the best in terms of power, control, spin. I was shocked at how good my slices and drops shots were, and my groundstrokes all went in, and my volleys were so easy. Serves were spinning downward. The best strings and used by Kyrgios, Bencic, Hsieh Su-Wei, Naomi Osaka (before when she was winning), Wawrinka, etc.
Hello, can you do a video on comparing different factors affecting power/control? Like comparing factors of string pattern vs string gauge vs racket head size. For instance, what would be more powerful given all else equal: a 100 sq racket with 18x20 pattern vs 98 sq racket with 16x19 pattern? or a 100 sq racket with 16 gauge string vs 98 sq racket with 17 gauge string? What determines which string type you use in the mains and crosses? And why?
I also love the Tour rev and I hybrid it with Dunlop Blk widow, both 17.48 LBS on my Pure Strike vs and it opens up the string bed and pockets amazing. I have one of each alternating wich is on the mains and crosses. I think I prefer the Rev in the main with Blk Widow on the crosses.
i’m getting my racket restrung with this hybrid, when i asked for it they said that putting the toned strings on the mains would give me more spin, what does confidential on the mains give?

i have been stringing the soft strings on the mains and the hard on the cross. I think Federer does that. if some one doesn't ask how they want there hybrid strung i do the hard on the mains and soft on the cross. if i look at the dynamics of a tennis swing the racket is parallel to ground as you swing so using the soft on the mains and with racket parallel the feel is hitting the soft or mains. kind of makes sense.
Federer uses gut in the mains and poly in the crosses.

So I tried this set up in my Prince Beast 100. I am not impressed with the Rev. no spin, not very good ball pocketing. I will not use it again. I would like to try Weiss Cannon Red Ghost in place of the Yonex. Besides it’s expensive compared to the red ghost.
i use solinco confidential on my wilson blade 98s but i feel that it does not hold tension very well and there is string movement after maybe 8 total hours of playing. 😅
im still figuring out what to use on the v8 on a 98.

I bought Head Radical MP 2021. I am planning to hybrid with Babolat Touch VS at the main and Luxilon ALU Power Rough 16L at the cros @ 54 and 52 pounds respectively. Any comment?
Touch VS is a powerful string and stringing it at 54 lbs makes it even more powerful. Before you spend that much money, try Excel first to see if that tension is ok for you. If Excel/ALU is too powerful or just right then you know to up the tension of the Touch/ALU hybrid.
that´s a very popular combination. I personally have come to dislike Natural Gut, it just does not feel as good as a poly. I prefer to hybrid a round soft poly with a little more power as mains, with a shaped extreme control, low power, stiff poly on the cross.
Do the poly in the mains to get more top spin
@@CourtsideAfterHours I would say no. Topspin is not based on the type of string but on the swing path, the grip, and the power of the player. Putting poly in the mains does reduce the overall power of the racket where gut in the mains increases the power. Djokovic and Federer puts the gut in the mains for better playability.
I’m looking at switching away from my Hyper G. It doesn’t last nearly enough for me to enjoy it and I always play with it dead bc I can’t justify getting another stringing job to my dad when the strings look fine but play dead. Any recommendations?

At about 8 hours of play Hg feels like it wants to tear my elbow off. All the Hex strings feel that way to me.

I string my rackets with Babolat natural gut and tour bite soft at 48#. Harry do you not feature gut/poly hybrids cause it’s a little more cost prohibitive?
How do you keep the ball in play. Babolat gut is very powerful. Do you use a western grip or pre stretch the gut?
@@williamdean9326 nothing special. I use a semi western and definitely utilize topspin though.

i am trying to choose a right string for me, so i am watching your reviews among other...one thing that confuses me: in may2020 you chose babolat RPM Power spin power as one of five best polyester strings...in november 2020 you made a video about most overrated products and you disliked that same string...you changed your opinion or did i confuse something ?

There's a 50% difference in these two string's tension loss, so this hybrid will start to lose control after a couple hours. Not sure what the philosophy is here, besides mixing potatoes and corn just because. Solinco Confidential makes a fantastic mains pairing with Isospeed Cream, Tier One Ghostwire or Wilson NXT in the crosses though, if you want to keep the spin/control of the Solinco but soften the string bed and possibly create more pocketing.
