What a beautiful piece of little scape!
Everything you and Tommy touch in planted tank become amazing and beauty. 👏👏👏👏👏
I love the tank,, and the beta even more. I think this little guy deserves absolutely a bigger tank. With all the stuff in it, there isn't room enough to swim
The betta is a fish who need small place for live.
I found that little tank interesting and beautiful, awesome job. 👏🤗
C'est très joli ! 👏👏👏
That's very beautifull!
Beautiful 🤩
amazing betta tank
Hello from winter in Australia :) such a beautiful scape
Love it!
I love the look of this scape.
I think its just to small for any fish to live in. Instead some shrimps and snails would look great too.
same. It's a very beautiful scape, just too small in my opinion. 20 litres is the absolute minimum to keep a betta, 40l would be far better.
Agreed, although if he is alone it isn't too bad, but I would prefer the tank to be at least 10 gallons (45ish litres) just to give him some decent swimming space.
@@Littlewings1211 same, I keep mine in a 64 litre (roughly 16gallon) and she definitely loves it far more than the 25l (~6gallon) quarantine tank she started out in...
5 gal, or 20l is perfectly fine for a single Betta.
@@dymone4894 most betta enthusiasts would disagree. While it isn't going to harm them so long as heat/water parameters are kept very well, it is the equivalent of a human living their entire life in a small bathroom; if someone ensured you had food/water/heat/adequate lighting etc and access to products which enable you to keep yourself clean and well, you could technically live out your entire life in said bathroom - but would you want to? Ironically it is also a lot less work on your part to keep your betta in a slightly larger tank because you are able to make better use of filtrating plants and it is easier to keep water parameters such as temperature, nitrates, ammonia etc stable as in a tiny tank even minor fluctuations can have a bigger effect and cause more issues in the tank. Of course this is all about personal opinion and how much work you'd like to/are able to put into your aquarium. I had a single betta in a 25l nano and he did ok because I was doing 25-50% water changes at the very least once a week. With a larger tank (only about double, say 10g so not huge at all) I could have added a lot more live plants, larger/stronger filter, possibly a CO2 set-up (although this would not be at all necessary) and therefore cut the size or frequency of the water changes needed to maintain the perfect environment for my little fishy buddy ☺️
Strong and beauty fish
Uuuuh that heater looks NICE, I have been searching for a small heater like that!
I am using this exact one in my 25 Liter Nano and it's fantastic! It isn't the smallest but it's really flat.
@@MrFloRolf hmm thats a shame, I really wanted a short one so it takes up less room. The ones I allready have are so long I have to put them horizontally in the tank and its not pretty 😂
What kind of fertilization do you use for that tiny tank? @Green Aqua
Királky volt a premier.🙂
Great to see all the mishaps 😅👌🏼 life as an aquascaper
Fantastic setup Balazs! Amazing work as always!
Beautiful tank!
But it should have, at least, 5 more liters for a Betta.
bro I hope to see u doing a dark water tank with almond leaves and that's stuff u know I love ur work from middle east
When building tanks for bettas always make sure you don’t leave spaces where they can squeeze into. My giant betta once got stuck behind a dennerle filter and I even saw one stuck in a shrimp feeding tube on Reddit. Also (and this is more for the plakats than long finned bettas) put a lid on your tank. Bettas love to jump.
Long story short: make sure your tank is safe because most bettas have a secret death wish.

Is this tank size ok for a Betta?
Nagyon szép lett! Ilyenre vágyom én is… Egy ilyen scape-et nekem is összerakhatnátok, sajnos nagyon fakezű vagyok… 😂
YOU SHOULD MAKE A STONE HENGE THEMED AQUASCAPE! OMGGGG
Nice work as always but, personally, I would have used the OASE FiltoSmart Thermo 100, turned down the flow, and blocked the outflow a bit with the rocks. In such a small space getting the heater outside the tank really helps. Plus, it would be easier to clean a small external canister without having to remove the rocks.
Beautiful aquascaping! Is it safe for betta even if uses a lot of stones like this?
Best to not use limestone rocks, so you don't have to deal with hard water. Anything else you're good to go
Llevo siguiendo os desde hace más de año y medio, por favor volved a poner los subtitulos en español. Un saludo.
It looks nice. ☺️ Are you thinking of adding a ramshorn snail friend to him? A beautiful pink, or a blue. 🤩 Bonjour from Quebec / 🇨🇦. 💁🏻♀️
Ah moi aussi. Du Québec!!!
My betta ate snails. Sucked them right out of their shells. Luckily these were snails that hitched a ride on the plants so were a free lunch for Mr Flappy
Such a beautiful video, fish and tank. Fascinating to watch the creative process and how you coped with things going wrong.
What light did you choose for this tank? And why?
I love the vertical stones idea but I have to agree with the others, in my opinion Bettas need a larger tank.
I wish I had an aquarium like this, it would be very nice, but it is a hobby that will always be in my dreams. My financial situation is very bad, I cannot afford it. People like me only dream.
These guys are the pinicle of high end. You could do similar for 1/10th the cost and have great results.
I promise that you can get a tank that you love. Half the items shown are not necessary and represent the bulk of the cost. Even a two and a half gallon tank (maintained correctly) with some Anubis, some cobblestone, and sand can work for a happy betta. Don’t let cost limit your hobby. Hope this comment helps.
@@hudsonhaynie1632 I don't have money to buy this. I have to take care of my children with that money. People like me only dream of good things.
❤️❤️
Bettas are best fish
I can make a planted aquarium without aqua soil!? What's the downside for a nono tank?
Sure you can! You can do one with sand only, in fact, we already did some scapes like that on the channel. The downside of the nano tanks is the fragile ecosystem. They can get algae more easily.
lower temperatures slow down their metabolism. it also affects their immune system.
I think expanding pu foam spray would've been easier to use...
Personally I don't like nano tanks for fish. It's a popular misconception that bettas don't need a lot of space due to its natural habitat being shallow rice paddies but they don't realise that those paddies are huge and stretch for miles. The same misconception led to the belief that they don't need filtration or a heater and led to the horrible "trend" of keeping bettas in vases and tiny novelty tanks even smaller than this 20l (5 gallon) nano.
Alone, with weekly water changes and really precise monitoring this guy will do well in here but in my personal opinion bigger is always better. To prevent any nerves issues always ensure your scape has a couple of hides (either decorations you can buy, natural things like rocks or coconut shell halves or use clumps/curtains of plants to give your fish places to hide and feel secure in his home, especially when it's new. If the tank is in a heavily trafficked area it may be worth using black paint or some kind of screen pasted to the outside of the glass so that your fish isn't constantly being startled by movement on the other side of the glass and he can relax and won't get sick from the constant stress. This is why a lot of tanks are made with at least one opaque side.
Also make sure you have some form of leaf (either natural or artificial - you can buy ones that attach to the glass via a sucker or clip) or resting platform just beneath the waterline as bettas enjoy resting on the surface and although this can look shocking, due to labyrinth organs they are able to breathe air both from the surface and through the water via their gills so will be absolutely fine. Also they just like watching their human slaves freak out thinking they have died (or maybe I was just "blessed" with sadistic fish!) 🤣🤣🤣
hii, i’m not sure if you’ll see this but i plan on getting a betta & making a tank similar to this but 10 gallon instead. i’m not so sure about maintenance/water changes if you’d be able to give me tips on that? i’ve been researching a lot so i can make sure the not only the fish is healthy but the tank as well. thanks!!
will this not be a maintenance hell ??
👍🏻
What's your favourite betta colour variant ? Floppy is very cute
blue betta is the best😃
@@greenaquascaping9491 yeah, i have got one dark blue betta with black head and light blue dots on his head
Background music name plz
Why all the people use always to small tanks.
It is like the Goldfish stuff in the past.
Yes, alsolutely right!
Très joli aquarium mais ce magnifique poisson aurait mérité un aquarium un peu plus grand 20 ou 30 L aurait été mieux pour lui je pense
Honest question: where does it come from that everyone thinks betta's need so little space?
Hi
Uh, the betta's tail is broken
I rember the real talk video, betta nano tank, no filtration no co2 XD
Don't understand the choice of the filtering equipment, a simple sponge filter with a air stone would work as good
There is a one simple idea for a startup: build equipment for nano tanks... All this junk inside makes tank so clutered.... ugh
An Oase Filtosmart Thermo would take the heater out at least, fitted with small glass lilypipes would look alright.
Para mi es demasiado
hello
Hello
Hi
In less than a month Balazs is going to "high tech" this tank with ada substrate, hairgrass carpet and co2 injection because no one is going to buy the tank as it is now.
i am so sorry. i do not like such small tanks. he can´t really swim .. my tank for my pair of betta was 240 ltr. and the uses every mm.. please do not put betta spendens in such small tanks.. please not... greetings from germany. holger
Yes, you are absolutely right!
👀 it’s not good
Low-Tech and balazs cannot exist in the same sentece...
I can not be silent if I see that Video. This tank is much too small. Sorry, but I must contradict your comment in the chat.
You have so many followers and fans and I worship you aquascaping skills. But this time you are completely wrong.
A tank, even a Betta-tank should be at least 60 cm! You have a great responsibility in your videos. Please correct your statement and make a new Video with a suitable size🙏
Oh dear another one of those oh betta tank is too small people...(I was waiting for these so called fish pros to pop up to say something like this...) generations of families in South East Asia...hundreds of years have been raising bettas healthily and successful in recycled cups and washed up garbage containers. Many live a good dozen or more years...better life expectancy than the wild and what fish stores purport their living span to be. That's a perfectly adequate sized tank. I've bred them and raised multiples in tanks smaller than that. Many keep thousands and most you buy from stores are raised in small 8 oz cups for 2-3 years before they hit retail. There's no need for any correction. PLEASE CORRECT YOUR OWN STATEMENTS.
I agree with you , bettas need more space to be happy. Surviving it’s not living
@@saraathena Surviving? I would like to hear how long people have kept them alive in those large tanks as compared to those that know how to keep them successfully and alive. And you suppose size of tank matters for care? People who have smaller tanks tend to care better for their fish. It's quite a bit harder to keep parameters in check on smaller tanks and they are more likely to be kept in better care than larger tanks. Most people can't even keep them alive for a month or two.
@@thedivide3688 you can live in your bathroom for all of your life too, doesn’t mean its a pleasant experience though
@@julia_6924 Some bathrooms are cleaner then some peoples whole houses...so...
"low tech" HAH
What a waste of space. This is a classic case of form over function. Awful design and use of the small space.
Sinceramente o visto di meglio, questo proprio non mi piace
