This is one of those real life turned absurd events that really can use exaggeration to craft formulaic humour. This is the mark of genius script writing - a quality of creativity forgotten of SNL since the monumental 1980's. Bravo . . . this can be a hallmark turning point that makes the show worth watching again. Give whoever came up with this script a raise ASAP.

Having Paul Simon’s harmony an octave higher actually sounds so good. I’m sure they probably used some pitch correction but it sounds even more beautiful than the original in my opinion.

Yeah, but this time made more sense. Apart from their singing, these guys were known by the turtleneck sweaters they wore at the time and especially Art's hair. This is genius.
