    When I coded on the operating table, I saw my grandmother in Heaven. She passed away before my two youngest sons were born. However, she knew all about each one of them, and everything I had been going through. So, yes, they know by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ 🙏

    I was thinking about my mom today. It was her birthday. She passed away last year. Her prayers brought me to salvation. I was brokenhearted today.

    I had a dream that I was surrounded by what I sensed were family members, and we were all sitting in a circle listening to my uncle, who had already passed away years ago. He was sharing his testimony, and all the things Jesus did in his life. Suddenly, all of them looked at me, and I recognized my grandmother. She looked young. They all looked at me and smiled a huge smile, as if they were proud of me in some way. I woke up with the feeling that they were aware of my life story, what I was doing, and maybe even what I would do in the future. I felt overwhelming joy in that moment:)

    U know I always wondered how much folks that have passed on to heaven were aware of our lives here on earth. My brother-in-law died suddenly last year from a heart attack. Was found gone, but leaving behind 5 young children and my sister. Three are small. So my sister was suddenly a single parent over night, but the youngest, now 2 told my sister as she was trying to put him to sleep, he pointed and told her, daddy there. Other times he told my sister (who is a very strong Christian) that he saw an angel. He says angle or sparkles in the room. It's really cute, but through our pain of losing our brother in law, we still have God comforting us.

    I bear witness to this!! 2 weeks after my beloved husband died, I had returned to work and I was doing my job when SUDDENLY I SMELLED my husband all around me like he was allowed to come and give me a last big hug (we know the scent of those close to us). He had died before I could see him again in hospital. So, I believe you John!

    Thankyou. I recently lost my husband, and I have had legitimate visions of other people in Heaven/Paradise before (when i get vision it just happens ,..most of the time I'm not even thinking about the person in Heaven. I see, and it has given comfort to their relatives) I know my husband was saved and filled with the Holy Spirit, I miss Him SO MUCH I have ask God that I may be able to just see Him there in Heaven/Paradise, but I have not really had a vision of him. My heart breaks every day. I don't understand why the Lord won't allow me to just see him. I realize not everyone or every believer I should say, has visions, many have other things the Lord does for them. every time I have ever had a vision it always benefits the other people; I tell it to for them regarding their loved one and I am HAPPY it does. But I'm in such misery, and grief, I just don't understand why I haven't been allowed to see my Husband yet. I'm still trusting God and waiting till He answers my hearts prayer. DO YOU HAVE ANY POSSIBLE ANSWER TO MY DELIMMA MR FENN?

      It will happen. Don’t have an expectation as to how, he may come in a dream (dream world is the spirit world) or another way. This is how I’ve been seeing my grandmother, who I lost almost 3 months ago. I have visions often too, but she comes in dreams. I’ll be praying that the Lord shows you soon, and until then comforts your heart. I’m so sorry for your loss. 💛 but know your husband is safe and sound with God in the Fathers house.

      He wants you to rely more on your faith. Since you know this for other people, you should know it for yourself, that your husband is well and knows about your life without seeing him. Does your need to see him Glorify God? It may glorify God to pass on the message to others, but not so much for your personal experience. Also, be careful about wanting it so much because Satan will capitalize on our weaknesses. He might try to deceive you and appear in your husband's form as a familiar spirit. Just know in your heart what you already know. God may or may not then decide to bless you with something, but it has to glorify Him.

    Okay it has been so many years since I have heard anyone teaching the true principals and mechanic's of practical and practicable faith. It comforts me to hear it from you, John. Like you, I have known the lord for nearly 50 years --but my eyes weren't truly opened until the 1980's and my little home gathered church 'The church without walls' spang up for a season and I ministered and taught all that the lord himself had taught me --and we were all very good and close friends --spiritual bonds makes for the best of friends! They're all diseased now and I remain alone after so long a time. Were it not for the precious few promises that Jesus gave me there are times that I'd have no hope at all... the dark times! And the times of depression and sadness... but they are all here with me and we still have deep conversations together in the spirit and it is only for the lack of physical bodies that they seem not to be. The true church of Christ is the one in heaven! Our's should then be lives lived in heaven on earth because it is ALL within us...Everything! I am so grateful to God, that there is actually someone else in the world who has an intimate knowledge of these things... Thank you John! I am binge watching all your videos today and I am so thrilled to hear everything you have to share.

    Besides what you said....when we die our knowledge is total and complete. Our minds are open!! We can see hear know everything. We can be in multiple places at a time, see 360 degrees we can move to a location just by thinking. If you've died and come back you know this

    • @CWOWI
      @CWOWI  Před 6 lety +6

      Hi Yvette, Not sure where you got some of that, but maybe for those reading I can separate some things. We don't automatically know all and see all, nor can we be in multiple places at one time - It would seem like that to a degree once that is experienced and then we come back, but the reality is much different - we have access to the Father's knowledge as we have need, it isn't that we suddenly know all. Each person retains their privacy and private things, but in conversation if the need arise to share, then we can have perfect knowledge of what they are trying to share with us - we know all things pertaining to that part they share with us so there is no misunderstanding. That's a for instance. And you aren't multiple places at once, you are an individual but when the Lord so designates we can enter into the knowledge He has, and to us it seems like we are different places at once, but that isn't the physical situation at all. There is so much more...but just to clarify that. If you look at what I said, what we see in scripture of those on the other side, the main difference is we can partake in the Father's unlimited knowledge as there is need, because it is governed by love. But we retain our individuality, our privacy, our memories, we don't automatically become limitless. John Fenn

    • @CWOWI
      @CWOWI  Před 4 lety +1

      Thank you "L.W". At its most basic, Jesus in heaven knows what is happening on earth. So if He knows, and we are in Him and He in us, then it stands to reason others in heaven know.
      In fact the whole concept of prayer is based on the idea that heaven knows what is going on here - otherwise why would we pray to a Father who doesn't know what we are going through?
      Throw in statements that we are surrounded by a cloud of witnesses in Hebrews 12:1, that Moses and Elijah talked of Jesus upcoming death in Jerusalem in Luke 9's transfiguration shows they knew what was going on, and knew the divine plan. Then things like the angels knowing - the angel in Acts 27 told Paul on the ship that he must be brought before Caesar.
      And like I said, the martyrs in heaven before the Father asking now long until their deaths are avenged clearly show they know what is going on...and on and on it goes.
      I think some people just haven't thought it through, or their understanding isn't based in the Word so they have built a fragile framework of error and misconceptions.
      And as I also stated, the fact we have the counterfeit around us in the form of non-saved looking for ghosts and seance's and spirits and such, demonstrate there is a true - you don't have counterfeits unless you have the true.
      And then you have people who have had things like family events who have a strong sense their deceased mom is watching, or they sense someone in heaven knows what happened - a wedding, a tragedy, etc - and it is reasonable to believe the Father who is on the other side and knows what is going on, in His grace, would allow loved ones to know what is happening in their family on earth.
      I just wonder what people think of our Father and Lord. And as it says in Ephesians 3:14 - there is but one family in heaven and earth. All one family, and at least sometimes, that side of the family knows what is happening with this side of the family. lol but true. Blessings and thanks for your kind words. John

    In 1995, when Jesus gave me my first dream about Obama, (He later revealed that he was muslim, that he would persecute believers, that ppl would be deceived and walking in darkness, and Jesus gave me Obama's first name - this was all in 2002) But in 1995, Jesus gave me a dream where I saw Obama coming through a window in an abandoned house that I was in. I knew that he was coming in to try and take my life, and then the dream changed and I saw my Grandmother who had been deceased for four years. Actually, the dream started with my Grandmother and ended with the window scene, where I saw Obama for the first time). Anyway, in the dream I knew she was in Heaven, and I knew I didn't have to ask because we were communicating without words being spoken. She first answered a biblical question I had been pondering that day ( I was so surprised that she was answering a question I don't think I would have asked her, seeing her in that dream, because here I was seeing my Grandmother for the first time since she had died, and I was so overcome with joy)!! I never had a relationship with my parents who didn't want me, but I had loving Grandparents, and I loved and missed them, my Grandmother especially. Anyway, my Grandmother answered a question, and then she said, "You will be alive when Jesus Christ returns". I don't tell many in the church this, because they seem to think this is unbiblical). The same as when I share with ppl what Jesus said when He visited me in Spirit on March 17th, 2006, and His second to last words were, " I am coming sooner than you expect". (Btw, I was blessed to see Jesus face to face, walking with Him, and from a short distance, in a dream He gave me, about "dying to the flesh", where He told me that it's "excruciating". Thank you for listening, as I tried to fit a few blessed experiences of the Lord, all at once here! Thank you Pastor John! I appreciate the wisdom and revelation of our Lord in you, as you share these great nuggets of truth!

      President Barack Obama had a heart for the poor and the sick thru his eight year presidency, and he also had a heart for a clean environment. When Congress was concentrating all their attention on money and Corporations President Obama always brought their attention back to the people. If he was so bad why didn't he use his power as leader of the free world? Instead he grew the economy, lowered unemployment and established Universal Healthcare. He also finished his tenure without one personal scandal. I think something is coming for you thru the window, but it's not President Obama.

He gave Iran, 1.7 billion dollars to help their nuclear program to destroy Israel and the U.S., he instituted homosexual "marriage", he instigated racial division, he was and is lawless, and continues to break the law as he continues to come against the Christians, and Jews, and President Trump in the "shadow government". He and Hillary supplied the money and weapons to ISIS. I could write pages and pages of documented wickedness this man created. Jesus' sheep know His voice, (John 10:27), and dreams and visions are from Jesus, to His born again sons and daughters (Joel 2:28, Acts 2:17). In case you are assuming I didn't like Obama because of his race, I was raised in a biracially mixed family (black and white). • @CWOWI
      @CWOWI  Před 5 lety +3

      Hi Catherine - thanks for writing. I'm not sure what to make of your comment as you make a sweeping statement about what 'the Bible says' while ignoring the Bible. So your statement is in error.
      For instance, Samuel shocked the witch at Endor as well as King Saul by the Lord allowing the prophet Samuel to be 'called up' to speak to Saul, foretelling his death and the death of his sons.
      In the gospels we have the Transfiguration in which (dead) Moses and Elijah appeared to Jesus, Peter, James, and John and spoke of Jesus' death which would soon happen in Jerusalem. Moses speaking from the law and Elijah from the prophets, they shared with the Lord the things which were about to happen to Him and be fulfilled.
      Then you have the bulk of the book of The Revelation from 4:2 on where John is caught up to heaven to see events then and future, the dead in heaven - even multitudes who had been martyred the bulk of which presumably in his time as the Roman Empire martyred multitudes of Christians, with chapter 6 dealing them before the FAther's throne asking how long until He brought vengeance upon those who had murdered them.
      And perhaps the greatest example of one who was dead and is no more, is Jesus. He was dead, and then came back for 40 days after His resurrection. Beyond He appeared to Ananais and Saul of Tarsus in Acts 9, to Paul in Acts 18, to Paul again in Acts 22: 17-18....
      So unless you can show me chapter and verse about 'the Bible is clear that the dead can't come here and we can't go there', I'll stick to chapter and verse, lol. Otherwise you are an idolater, elevating your strongly held beliefs above scripture. Blessings, John
      PS If you have questions about scripture, history, or what the Lord is doing today around the world, I'd be happy to help you find answers. cwowi@aol.com

    I have a problem with the example of Saul and Samuel. God says clearly in Leveticus 19:31 : “You are to consult neither mediums nor familiar spirits. You are never to seek them-you’ll just be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God." Knowing this, I doubt that it was the real "Samuel" who talked to Saul, but rather Satan's angel impersonating him. What do you think John ?

    • @CWOWI
      @CWOWI  Před 6 lety +12

      Hi Damien, Most people/commentators are of the opinion that this really was Samuel that the witch at Endor (accidentally) called up. Usually it would be a demon, as in today's seance' and such - but the textual clues would be that Saul had fallen away from the Lord as it states, so he wasn't concerned about Leviticus 19:31, and that she was shocked beyond measure when she saw him, and that Samuel and Saul knew each other, of dates and places, etc...to it was clearly Samuel.
      And of course the Bible is full of these exceptions the Lord makes to us seeing 'the other side'. Of course Samuel would have been in Paradise, also called Captivity or Abraham's bosom, the waiting place the OT saints went to until their sins were paid for and Paradise would be move to what we call 'heaven'.
      But in Luke 9 the very dead Moses and Elijah appeared to Jesus, Peter, James, and John at the transfiguration. In Revelation the apostle John sees multitudes of dead people in heaven, is given a tour by one of them, etc...
      Returning to Samuel and Saul - And in my visits over the years talking with people formerly involved in the occult, they concur that in seance's and such it is demons that mimic the dead relative, the family spirits (familiar with that person and family), and none have ever actually talked to a dead person.
      But on a day to day basis, I think it is common because I've heard it so much, for Christians to be aware their (Christian) dead relatives knows what is going on, or they feel like 'mom is aware' sort of thing - there is 1 family i heaven and earth, and they are witnesses to our lives, so it makes sense that from time to time the Father allows us to know that our loved one is aware of what is happening here and there in our lives.
      Hope that makes sense...but for Samuel, it was clearly him, and it freaked out the witch completely. John Fenn

    • @CWOWI
      @CWOWI  Před 7 lety +8

      Hi Maria, Good question and thanks for writing. In II Corinthians 5:1-8 Paul says 'to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord'. How is that? A person's spirit and soul, which are eternally linked - are what is in heaven. Our bodies are here on earth. That means everyone in heaven is waiting for the 'redemption of the body', as Paul said in Romans 8:19-23. We look just like we do here on earth, minus the things earth and gravity and the world did to our bodies - everyone is normal weight, looks maybe 30-35 years old, children grow up to adulthood, etc...
      The Jewish belief concerning Rosh ha Shanah, the Feast of Trumpets, is that at the Last Trump, which was a specific trumpet used in this festival, would reunite a person's spirit/soul with their body - which will be transformed from being made of earthly material into heavenly material and thus eternal - and will look like our spirit and soul.
      So the term 'the dead in Christ will rise first' from I Corinthians 15:39-55 is about the corruptible putting on incorruption - our dead bodies from earth bring transformed into glorified bodies. Think of Jesus and His resurrection as He is called 'the Firstborn from the dead'. He died with an earth-body, but by resurrection power the molecules were changed so that His glorified body is made of heavenly material - same with us.
      The mystery that isn't explained is how that happens. Does a person (spirit/soul) come down in a flash to the cemetery to zoom into that old earth body and then instantly see it transformed into glorified and therefore comes out of the grave in a blink of an eye?
      And what of those lost at sea, or those whose bodies have already been turned to dust - how is that done? We don't know, it isn't explained, other than it says people in heaven will have glorified bodies.
      I hope that helps...so at some point the people in heaven will either be reunited with their body which will then be changed...and those with bodies already dust will somehow be rebuilt...blessings, John

      Just wondering I have heard so many say who either had dream or visited Heaven that they seen babies and children in heaven. Like the aborted babies. I thought God would let them have their childhood?

    • @CWOWI
      @CWOWI  Před 7 lety +7

      Hi Lorraine, thanks for your question, though I'm not sure where you are confused. I've been sharing my visit since about 1989 when I had the experience, and I think either some of copied or possibly some have seen the same thing, lol.
      What I saw was we (my angel giving me the 'tour' and I) was an area with thousands of angels standing shoulder to shoulder almost with just walking space in between them, rank and file, and they were holding their hands with one hand across their midsection, palm down, and the other arm lower like across the belt height, palm up. Similar to the way a US football running back holds his hands when receiving a football hand off. Hovering in between the palms of their hands was an almost spherical 'ball' of light, fuzzy white like fog on the edges, more dense in the middle. I longed to see what was inside because every angel was holding their own fuzzy light...
      As soon as I said 'Father, I'd like to know...' my eyes were able to see through one to the inside, and I saw a baby like in a womb. I was shocked and snapped my head around to the angel in surprise and he said: "This is where all the miscarried and aborted babies go, and in the ages to come they will grow up and fulfill their destinies."
      After that we walked by a large area that can only be described as a nursery...I never saw the transition between those 'wombs' of light and the nursery area. But this area was huge, with people and angels playing with children.
      I also was able to speak to several children - who have since grown up of course - but at the time I spoke to some who were about 6 and 8, and 10, and about a 12 year old. It was quite fascinating. I'd be happy to send you the MP3 of what I saw if you email me at cwowi@aol.com - my gift of course. Or cd if you want that.
      But they do grow up - everyone does - all appear to be about 30-35 - and even the people who died say, in their 70's, look young, though you can often tell they are older. There is nothing on earth to compare it to, but it is clear the things earth caused like wrinkles and weight and that world-worn look on the face, are gone. What is left is the spirit and soul, the pure person unaffected by earth but only affected by heaven. So even the old people have on their faces what they learned of the Lord while on earth - His wisdom is seen in their eyes and around their eyes - but it isn't like wrinkles of earth....hard to describe.
      But I hope that helps...let me know, John

    Hi John. To ask the saints in heaven to pray for us is not idolatry. Just as asking someone on Earth to pray for us is not idolatry. If the saints on heaven are in a much more perfected state than us on heaven I cant see why they wouldnt pray for us in heaven. As in revelation we see the bowl of the saints prayers being g offered up to God as incense. God bless you.

      Hi Omar - what you stated is flat against the whole of the Bible from start to finish. Even in the OT law it was forbidden to pray to one's departed family or ancestors. The NT says there is 1 mediator between God the Father and man, the Lord Jesus Christ. None of the apostles prayed to the departed, nor did they pray for them. They prayed to the Father God in the name of Jesus.
      So sorry you have been taught doctrines outside the Bible. John

      @@CWOWI Hi thanks for responding. Can you point me to the OT law that forbids prayers to departed ones? Regarding the "one mediator" praying to God directly. Actually, Catholics do both and so do Protestants. Catholics and Protestants both pray directly to God and also ask their fellow Christians to pray for them. The difference is that Catholics dont restrict the term "Christians" to mean "only Christians on Earth". It must be made clear that the Catholic church in no way teaches that the saints are mediators in the special sense used in 1 timothy 2 5. Because of the incarnation, Jesus has a unique role as mediator. Since he is the only one who is God and man, the only contact point between us and the Father, only he is capable of bridging the chasm of sin that separates us from God. No saint can take Christ's place mediator. Instead all Christians are intercessors who, because of Christ's mediatorship, are able to pray for each other. If asking Christians in heaven to pray for us conflicts with Christ's mediatorship, asking Christians on earth to pray for us conflicts for the same reason. But this would be a serious misreading. Far from excluding Christians from a share in Christ's mediatorship, Paul is actually emphasizing that we share in it through intercessory prayers. Our intercessions are effectual precisely and only because Christ is the one mediator.

      Hi Nicole, thanks again for writing, and great question. Let me set the context and provide background, which helps immensely.
      In the days before the cross there were 2 compartments in the earth: Hell and Paradise. Paradise also goes by 'Abraham's bosom' and 'Captivity' in Jewish culture of the day. Both are/were holding places until judgement/payment for sin came.
      Both hell and paradise can be seen in Jesus' sharing the plight of 2 men in Luke 16: 19-31, where a rich evil man died and went to hell, while the beggar named Lazarus who was laid at the rich man's gate daily, also died and went to Paradise.
      From what I've heard from a rabbi and read in rabbinic commentary, they believed paradise to be park-like in nature, accommodating all the righteous dead of what we would call the Old Testament.
      Jesus later descended into 'the lower parts of the earth' (Ephesians 4: 8-9) and then carried 'captivity captive', meaning He emptied Paradise/Captivity/Abraham's bosom and carried them to heaven upon His resurrection. Hebrews 9: 23-24 says He then presented Himself to the Father as the final sacrifice.
      This is why in II Corinthians 12 Paul says he was 'caught up to Paradise' - not down, but up, because Paradise was carried to heaven with Jesus after His resurrection -
      Before she knew who he was, in v9 she said Saul had closed down those 'who have familiar spirits'. The term familiar spirit defines those who have demons that are familiar to them. We see this today when a family had generational demonic issues - maybe addictions or maybe disease that goes from one generation to another, for instance.
      Demons cannot read our minds, they are individuals like we are. But they can and do hang around a family if allowed and get to know them, thus labeled 'familiar spirit'.
      The prophet Samuel had died and gone to Paradise, the holding place in the earth, the place of the righteous dead. The witch at Endor, who was used to talking to demons was shocked and afraid when she brought up the real man, Samuel, to talk to King Saul.
      The witch sees the real spirit world and is scared by it - The gods or 'elohim' in use here is the plural of 'gods' - usually refers to demons. Though in Genesis 1: 26 it says "God (Elohim) said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness."
      But she saw demons coming up and out to the earth.
      Consider this because you may not have thought this through. When Satan tempted Adam and Eve, he was the lone 'demon' on the earth. But when they and then their offspring grew up and followed Satan rather than the Lord (Cain's family tree for instance) - more demons were released into the earth.
      According to Jesus' encounter with the demon, Legion, in Mark 5: 10 Legion begs Jesus not to send them from that country - they like and get to know geographical areas. We see this in Daniel with the Prince of Persia and Prince of Greece, demonic leaders over those nations.
      The US for example was Christian at one point, but as people from other parts of the world with false religions moved to the US, they brought the demons with them - the familiar spirits, who carved out their own territory so to speak.
      Satan and his cohorts are still bound to chains of darkness - the chains being the darkness they are forever doomed to be in - but it was given to Satan to have authority in the earth. So as a person gives in to the demonic, it is the legal license those demons need to influence that person's life - or that family, etc.
      In the case of the witch at Endor, she saw the gods, demons, coming up out of the darkness of hell, and then she also was allowed by the Lord to see Samuel, who talked with Saul and told him of his soon coming death.
      The grace of the Lord is that Samuel told him by that time tomorrow he and his sons 'will be with me', meaning though he had erred so grievously as King, he still knew the Lord and ended up in Paradise...
      Hope that helps...John

      @@CWOWI There were specific reasons for John, Paul and Isiah to have these experiences. I doubt people who say they spoke to dead relatives, it just isn't Biblical. We all know the parable of The Rich Man and Lazarus. God doesn't suddenly change His mind.

    • @CWOWI
      @CWOWI  Před 5 lety +5

      @@Creameggy hello again. I'll try to help you see another set of possibilities.
      First, I would ask you to consider that the existence of a counterfeit is proof of the true. That is an irrefutable fact from money to spiritual gifts - tongues for instance, is a well reported phenomenon among pagan tribes for centuries - but that demonic tongues which is a counterfeit, is proof there is the true tongues.
      I've been around trial people and heard their testimonies of how the Shaman healed them - but also testify when a demon healed them they ended up with something worse a few weeks or months later. Only Jesus totally and completely healed them and brought more wholeness after that healing. The counterfeit and the True.
      So then we go to seance and other occult based apparitions - that of what the Word calls 'familiar spirits', demons who hand around a family and know them and impersonate a dead person during a seance. That's the counterfeit, but it is also therefore proof there is a true manifestation by the Spirit of God concerning the dead.
      Of course we are told in Hebrews 12:1 the dead in faith are witnesses of our lives - the word used there is that of a sporting arena with stands full of observers watching what is happening in the field. So we know they are very much aware of our lives.
      Your error in logic is not only to ignore the truth that the presence of a counterfeit as proof of the True, but you also wipe away with one swipe the scriptural experiences of individuals under the banner of 'specific reasons'.
      Your beliefs ignore the fact that (dead) Samuel did appear to King Saul. Moses and Elijah did appear to Jesus, Peter, James, and John. That John was in heaven and saw martyred people before the throne asking when He would bring vengeance upon their murderers, and so on. Whatever the specific reasons hidden in God, why do you not think He might have specific reasons for someone today to sense their dead mother's presence observing their situation? (For instance)
      He never changes as you said, He never changes His mind (we'll talk about Jonah and Ninveh later, lol) - so by your own statement you must accept the evidence of scripture - He did it then, He can do it now.
      So...maybe consider becoming consistent in what you believe - for it is clear when someone is so quick to ignore chapter and verse under an emotional reason of some cosmic 'specific purpose', they are tossing that out to hide behind something must more personal in their lives.
      Often that is fear based - the fear of getting into error, the experience of a friend or relative or church that got off base - when someone can't see chapter and verse and instead sticks to emotional reasoning rather than sound Biblical exegesis, they've been hurt or are in fear or something...anyway, I don't have a dog in this hunt, just tossing out ideas for your to consider. Good dialogue! John

    I have a really important question that I really need help with. Someone is saying that it's not okay to share your dreams or visions with others because it's not in the Bible. Do you know if this is true ???

    • @CWOWI
      @CWOWI  Před 7 lety +5

      Hi Christina - thanks for writing, and I'll be happy to help. Are they saying it is wrong to share them because there is no verse saying it is okay to share them? Your sentence could be taken a couple ways. But...The short answer is whoever is telling you that is wrong. The gauge for sharing a dream or vision pivots more on the personal nature of a dream or vision, or the appropriateness of sharing it. For instance in Genesis 37 Joseph, just 17 years old, shares with his father and brothers his dreams of how their sheaves will bow down to his, and how the sun, moon, and stars will bow down to him. It wasn't wise as it only served to make them all angry - but he was an arrogant teenager so situation normal! lol
      Beyond that, in the OT when it says 'The Word of the Lord came to me..." or 'The Word of the Lord said..." that is a vision of the Person of the Word of God, the Son who was born as Jesus - for instance, when Jeremiah 1:5 says the Word of the Lord told him 'Before you were in the womb I knew you and called you to be a prophet to the nations' we might think that was just something he heard. But verse 9 says 'Then the Lord stretched forth His hand and touched my mouth..." so we know it was a vision of the Person of the Word of the Lord.
      Basically what I'm saying is this - most of the OT prophets wrote what they heard and saw from visions and dreams of the Lord Himself. And by the time you get to Acts 2:17 Peter announces on Pentecost that we are in the age when old men will dream dreams and young men see visions, and the Spirit will be upon men and women, boys and girls...
      Even the book of The Revelation is the vision of John seeing Jesus in the chapter 1 through chapter 3. Then in chapter 4 to the end it is his vision of his visit to heaven and all that he saw.
      So from Genesis through Revelation dreams and visions make up the bulk of our Bible - Visions and dreams by classification come under the heading of the discerning of spirits. In the same way prophecy is the category head that includes preaching, exhortation, teaching because it is all inspired words from the Lord, so is the discerning of spirits the category head that includes dreams and visions.
      We know this in part for instance, in John 1:44-47 when Jesus has Nathaniel come to Him and He says he has no deceit in him. Nathaniel is caught off guard and says He doesn't even know him, to which Jesus says, "Before Philip called you I saw you sitting under the fig tree."
      The shows the discerning of spirits involved a word of knowledge about the man's character, honesty, and it was also visual.
      Jesus certainly didn't hesitate sharing what He saw - and remember the Mount of Transfiguration when Peter, James, and John went with Jesus to the mountain and the Father overshadowed them and Moses and Elijah appeared to Jesus to talk from the law and prophets about Jesus' upcoming death.
      So Jesus had no problem sharing visions with people -
      So like I said, good question, but be at peace. Whoever is telling you that probably means well, but they just don't know their scripture nor the ways of the Father very well - just love them and be confident.
      As I said earlier, you can't be like Joseph and share something that won't be received - he learned his lesson - but it is a cautionary tale for us. Another examples is Acts 7:22-25 that tells us Moses killed the Egyptian and buried him in the sand 'because he thought his brethren would have understood he was the deliverer. But they understood not."
      Moses knew by age 40 he was called of God to be the deliverer, and he tried to help God by leaning on his own experience and training, thinking the killing of the Egyptian would mean Israel would rally around him and they'd start a civil war - wrong. It cost him 1/3 of his life, 40 years, in the wilderness before the burning bush happened and the Lord showed him it would be through signs and wonders, and not his own strength.
      So...share, but use wisdom. Consider the person or people you are sharing with - just because we have a revelation we aren't to assume they have that same revelation - it was to us for us, first and foremost.
      Hope that helps...thanks and blessings!
      John

      Hi Christina - you asked about pleading the blood. I have a video on that- that phrase started back in the 1800's as part of a sermon of Charles Spurgeon, an English pastor and quite an amazing man, his writings are still very popular today. In some sermons he used the expression 'plead the blood' in the context of something like 'When you come before the judge O sinner, what will you plead? What plea shall you enter before the Judge? I say, plead the blood..."
      The in the 1960's and 1970's during the charismatic renewal that phrase got lifted out of context by some charismatic teachers and faith healers to mean it as a some sort of spiritual weapon against Satan.
      It is not scriptural, for as I point out in the video, the only way the blood of Jesus is used and referred to in scripture is with awe and holiness related to Jesus pouring out His blood on the cross for our sins. To think that we can somehow appropriate His blood for use against the devil reveals an ignorance in the person about what the blood of Jesus actually did.
      It wasn't used against the devil, but rather to purchase our salvation. And Jesus is the only one who had the right to appropriate His blood for the purpose - His torturous death and spilled blood bought our salvation.
      From the gospels when the disciples were sent out using the name of Jesus to cast out demons and heal people through Acts, we see only the name of Jesus used against the devil and for casting out demons. The apostles would be horrified that we today could somehow think we could appropriate His blood (lower its use to) battle a demon.
      Just throw the demons out in Jesus' name.
      My experience has been people who rely on the formulas that aren't even scriptural and therefore aren't things which God becomes involved with, demonstrate a lack of faith in the Name...my experience has been the name is all that is needed against a demon...
      Hope that helps...John

    Why does Jesus say in John 3:13: "No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven." ??? So what is this about Samuel?
    I understand that the death and resurrection of Jesus could have changed how things worked before and after that time, but if so, what changed? How did things work before and after Christ's work.
    Jesus told the thief that He would see him in paradise, not heaven. Is paradise Abraham's bosom? Is it a compartment of Sheol? Why does the OT say that there are no thoughts in the grave?
    How can anyone go to heaven before the resurrection spoken of in Revelation? Paul implied that, for a believer, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. How so? Can you go to heaven without a glorified body that is given at the first resurrection? If the spirit or soul goes to heaven, but the body goes to Sheol, how does that work? Doesn't every being in heaven have a body?

      Hi Don - thanks for writing, do you have enough questions, lol - I'll try to help. It appears you're confused over some things, so I'll need to start at ground zero just to make sure we're on the same page.
      First, in Judaism they believed as per Luke 16: 19-31, that there were 2 holding places in the earth where dead people went. The first was hell, the second was called Abraham's bosom, also Paradise, also Captivity. They believed it was park-like, with trees, grass, water, etc. The righteous dead went there until Messiah would come and take away sin.
      Both men recognized one another, talked to one another, saw, heard, felt - all their normal senses were in their spirit and soul while their bodies laid in their graves.
      Therefore the thief on the cross was told by the Lord they would be in Paradise that day.
      We are told in Ephesians 4: 8-9 Jesus descends into the lower parts (plural) of the earth, confirming Jesus' teaching of the 2 holding places in the earth.
      Paradise however, that is to say Abraham's bosom or Captivity, was taken captive we are told by Jesus, when He was resurrected. He told Mary not to cling to Him as He had yet to ascend to the Father, but later that day He came back and invited them to touch Him, feel His wounds, etc.
      His resurrection day ascension in which He led Captivity captive is described in Hebrews 9: 22-24 as Him presenting Himself as the final sacrifice to the Father. Then later that day He went back to the disciples and was sen off and on for the next 40 days.
      This is why Paul said in II Corinthians 12:4 that he 'was caught up to Paradise'. Paradise, Abraham's bosom, was taken captive by the Lord of Life and brought to what we call, heaven. Having been to heaven, my guess is that Paradise is part of the countryside outside the city that I and so many others have seen.
      Samuel was called up from Paradise which was at that time being an OT saint, in the earth.
      About the 'resurrection': We are as I Thessalonians 5:23 says, "I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless..." So we are a spirit, have a soul, and those 2 live in a body.
      Therefore when a body dies, the spirit and soul go to their respective places. Either hell, the holding place for the unrighteous, or heaven for the righteous.
      II Corinthians 5:8 tells us to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
      A person's spirit and soul look like their body to a large degree. People in heaven look like they did on earth for the most part. Your spirit and soul occupy the same space in your body, so when you die spirit and soul look like you, same size.
      Remember the spiritual realm bodies are still bodies - angels, the Father on His throne as seen in Revelation 4, Daniel 7 as the Ancient of Days, etc.
      So the apostle John in The Revelation saw people in heaven - but we await the redemption of the body, as Paul phrased it in Romans 8: 22-23 - we await our glorified bodies.
      Hope that helps, my email is cwowi@aol.com

    Sadly, trying to answer this type of question without revelation tempts people to human reasoning, and can be a snare.
    We should ask the question if we are born again from above, would we go to a fortune teller, or seance to enquire about a dead human being or is that what the unsaved does?
    Deu 18:9 When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.
    Deu 18:10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,
    Deu 18:11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
    Deu 18:12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
    Deu 18:13 Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.
    1Sa 28:6 And when Saul enquired of the LORD, the LORD answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.
    1Sa 28:7 Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and enquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor.
    So the question should be, is this Samuel she is bringing up or a familiar spirit that is pretending to be Samuel?
    True visions of heaven are visions and should not be linked to natural earthly time.
    Joh_3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
    1Co_15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

    • @CWOWI
      @CWOWI  Před 5 lety

      Hi Cindy, thanks for writing - and you've been taught incorrectly if you think the dead 'sleep'. Unfortunately some pastors and therefore teachings fail to understand King James English of the 1600's and the translation of 'sleep' as used in the 1st century (and the context that Jesus and Paul used the term), and assume it means some sort of unconsciousness. Wrong.
      Paul stated in II Corinthians 5: 1-13 'to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord', among other verses.
      Then you have to deal with the book of Revelation, which includes some future events, and some current with John's day. Among those are chapter 4 him being caught up to heaven and seeing the Father on His throne, with 24 elders around the throne. Then in chapter 6 you have a lot of people martyred in John's day before the throne asking the Father how long it will be until He bring vengeance on the earth.
      Then you have to deal with things like Moses and Elijah appearing to Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration, and of course the proper understanding of Hebrews 12:1 which states the 'heroes of the faith' of the previous chapter, are now in heaven witnessing life on earth.
      Throw in historical accounts and contemporary of people having death and near death experiences, from all nations, from all cultures, yet all talk of going to heaven and seeing Jesus, etc....
      And you have events of today that agree with scripture. And then there are people like me, eye-witnesses, who have been there and can tell you as well. The Word is the key, and any experience of heaven subsequent and subject to the Word - but it is all in agreement.
      'Sleep' in the first century was used to indicate 'a temporary condition', as in Mark 5 with Jairus' daughter.
      'Sleep' is also used to describe the earth-body, not the spirit and soul of a person, but the body which sleeps. And that may be an additional point of confusion for you, or for whoever taught you such error. The body sleeps, a temporary condition. But as Paul stated and as was believed by the disciples who wrote the NT, the spirit and soul go to heaven when the body stops functioning (for a believer).
      Throw in Jesus' illustration of Luke 16: 19-31 of the 2 men who died and went to their respective places upon death, hell for the one and Abraham's bosom, also called Paradise or Captivity back in that day, and you see people are very much alive and well and in their respective places upon death.
      (Paradise/Abraham's bosom/Captivity was taken to heaven at Jesus' resurrection, and so Paul stated in II Corinthians 12: 1-4 that he was 'caught up to Paradise' - ie heaven.
      I do hope this helps - Jesus made it clear in Luke 16: 19-31, Paul stated the same, John saw the same in heaven - and 2000 years of Christianity are consistent with all this.
      Just for historical fact here - John Calvin in 1534 in a work written in Latin was the first 'modern' person to teach the soul 'slept' upon death. The term 'soul sleep' came from his error, which as you can see above, contradicts Jesus, but so does so much of Calvin's teachings, lol.
      Hope that helps - if you want further discussion you can email me at cwowi@aol.com and I'm happy to answer any questions - blessings! John

      Paul says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, I don't see any scripture evidence of departed being aware of what's happening here

      @@chrisdale7834 That's because there isn't. In fact, the Bible says the complete opposite. “For the living know they will die; but the dead do not know anything, nor have they any longer a reward, for their memory is forgotten” (Eccl. 9:5).

      Hi David, maybe I can help.
      Have you ever been in a situation that turned out horribly - maybe the death of a loved one, or a huge crisis where people all around you are losing it, but you have such a peace from the Lord that it carries you through? Have you ever had a peace in your heart that you have a job, so that when you go through the interviews to get that job, and you know they are interviewing others, but you have that peace and knowledge on the inside that the job is already yours?
      So imagine how heaven is - you can see the turmoil of others from the perspective of knowing they will soon join you in heaven - thus no matter what happens on earth, the worst thing that could happen to your loved one is they will join you in heaven.
      I think you think heaven is one thing, when it is something else. Revelation 7: 17 and 21: 4 say that in heaven, God will wipe away our tears. Heaven isn't a closed society, lacking information from the outside world. Hebrew 12:1 indicates those in the hall of faith and others, are a cloud of witnesses of our lives - but they have perfect peace for they not only know the outcome, but are living it.
      My wife reported when she died (medical issue, 1993) she came out of her body and floated up above, and looking down on it said to herself, "So that is what has caused me all these problems all these years?" and then thought about me and our 3 boys. She said, 'How can I leave John and the boys, and how can he deal with Chris by himself (our handicapped oldest son)?'
      But she said the peace was so overwhelming, she said, "Oh, they'll be okay" - she said it was so permeating to all her being, that peace, that love, that certain knowledge that anything I'd go through on earth would be okay and we'd be together soon enough...but she asked to come back, and He let her. She said she went back into her body and fell asleep, awaking an hour or so later - and we got her to the hospital and she had surgery, etc....but she is well now after all these years.
      I can also say when I went to heaven and was given a small tour for the lack of a better word, there is that peace, that knowledge...and the people I talked to who had relatives still on earth, even the children I talked to who had died of cancer, were at perfect peace about their parents still being on earth...
      Hope that helps...John
