I was there in person classic game and the flyers needed one player and that was Paul Hawkins who use to play for Dayton Dunbar. His outside jumper would have made the difference. Sedric Toney and Chapman needed just a little more help with that outside jumper. I was in the marine corps and was stationed at Camp Pendleton. I still have the 110 negatives from the game.

That 1984 "N.C.A A." Basketball champions Georgetown "Hoyas" team forever changed and laid the blueprint for future "N.C.A.A." Basketball teams to follow. John Thompson learned as a backup Basketball Center in the "N.B.A." for the dominant Boston "Celtics" behind Bill Russell that if a Basketball team has a gifted Center/big man, that giant can block shots to his teammates and defense can become instant offense. In other words, no one player didn't have to score a lot of points for his team to be successful.

Damn! Billy Packer doing double duty for the Regional Finals. He was in Atlanta for Virginia-Indiana, flies across the country for this one.

That's one of the reasons why Billy Packer wanted AL McGuire to go with him when deciding to go to CBS

Does anyone have any of the complete games that Dayton won in the 1984 tournament? LSU, Oklahoma or Washington?
