One of their best songs. It's a love letter to Belfast.

I remember at the SSE arena on the 8th of December in 2018 they opened with this and Gary could step away from the mic at times and everyone seemed to be filling in for him
those 4 chords in that chorus have been playing in my head for months i heard this song in store and looked like a complete boon trying to shazam the speaker to find out who it is. Should have known better to be honest SP are awesome

I saw them play this on a rerun of Jools Holland the other night, and have been absolutely HOOKED on this track. I wasn't a huge Snow Patrol fan, but this song has a driving, rockin' quality that reminds me of Wire or Television--unlike Snow Patrol's more typical emotional ballads that I'd heard previously. This is simply a beautifully written rock song. And those crunchy guitar chords in the bridge get me every time.
He's singing about his love for Belfast; I'm similarly "in love" with my home of the last 24 years, San Francisco. I find myself singing this song as I walk the streets of my city--it's a great soundtrack for that!
+Andrea Waterstreet I didn't like this song at first, but it's actually a good song, and it has a very obvious Foo Fighters vibe. :) The same chords, the sudden stops in the chorus...

I had Janice Long on the radio + she was playing an unknown song + I thought this is brilliant but what is it. I couldn't effing remember who it was. Finally when she said it was Run by Snow Patrol I started crying because my memory is so effed up now. Anyway I've played Spitting Games + this one my two favourite Snow Patrol songs I won't forget them I promise.
