I was there. A magical moment. Tim was in his wheelchair in the corner by the stage.
As was I. It was a borderline religious experience.
It was a magica night - see you all in May
A little late finding this but as 62 year old Cardiacs fan of many many years this is an incredible version of one of my absolute favourite songs. I still shed a tear when I think of Tim and this brought a lump to my throat when I played it...bloody well done to all concerned and special thanks to Mike Vennart for being such a great ambassador for Tim's music...👍
This singer goes so hard, I'm genuinely surprised his voice held out until the end.

How this song starts off like the end of the world and just keep getting bigger, and bigger, and bigger... it feels impossible. Hanging way up in a planetary sized tantrum of unending high suspense.... it's such a mountain, nay, planet of a song. They ALL held themselves to task on the stage. Ferocious. Primal. Sustaining. Glorious. I don't think I've ever seen anyone attack a cover (least of all D.B. by Cardiacs) with that much strength in my 41 years of life. Just... holy sh*t.❤

THIS IS SO EPIC !! so close to the original and captures the TRUE essence Of their magic.... some of these member are real Cardiacs fam and they keepin the music alive with this.... but..... PLEASE MORE GIGS !! PLEASE MORE ... i got my 15 year ofd son and his friends into the Cardiacs it would be there dream to witness this song LIVE and more ... there is a whole new generation of Cardiac fans....!
I feel so proud to acknowledge every time that most of the fellows listening to Cardiacs agree that this is the best song ever written. Such majestic and accurate descriptions of it I read too. Awesome. Beyond this, great performance! Loved the energy

He was good while in Oceansize, but afterwards it seems he has just put in the work and has become so "effortless" as a singer. When "blizzard" came out, I had to pause at several points, just to check if he was really doing the things he was doing. Like at 4:22 when he just decides to sound like Robert Halford for a second - what a musician :)
The most wonderful sound that my ears and eyes have ever witnessed, I really needed this today, I'm in tears. This song is the best song man has ever produced and it's delivery here is beyond words. All the members on stage in this video are the luckiest people in the world to be able to part of that creation. I love you all.

I love how there is no light on the vocalist thru the song. We all know it's not Tim, but it's such a great cover, descended from the ether to celebrate Tim's legacy.

This is one of songs that requires one hell of a vocal range to pull off.
The band nails the playing, vocals get off in the high range at tad, but if you have ever heard Jon Anderson (Yes) live and he’s amazing, even he bodges a bit.
It’s tough to get that high a register for 5 minutes let alone the duration of a concert.
But damn Mel, whooooooo!
