Whitesnake 1981 Newcastle city hall was my first gig. Coverdale, Lord, Paice, Marsden, Moody, Murray. The best. Thanks for the memories.
And this is why I always preferred the original Whitesnake, before DC decided to change the style and personnel of the band. Fantastic, melodic, blues rock. RIP Bernie Marsden

Having a reminisce for Bernie who has sadly passed away and found this gem of a video with Mick Moody. RIP Bernie. If there is an afterlife there's one hell of a jam session going on.

Own the DVD set and the artwork has an image of my personal 1981 original ticket for the 1 Dec Whitesnake show in Offenbach/Germany. The band asked for ticket stubs etc upfornt before releasing the set and included what they received in the artwork.

As others have said here, the Marsden and Moody the best 'Snake combination and Bernie so sadly missed I urge anyone to read or listen on Audible (he narrates it) to Bernie's autobiography. That vocalist is topnotch too!
Lovely blast from the past, Bernie Mickey & Neil were White snake, of course Coverdale was the Maestro, but went on a more Metal path with newer band. RIP Bernie, you were the Real Deal!

Excellent reminds me of the excellent gig at the bierkeller in Bristol with company of snakes back when .have both company of snakes albums .
I wonder if I'm thinking of the same event, Martyn, I was at Bristol's Fleece &Firkin when BM and MM turned up for an unannounced gig. Place started almost empty but quickly filled up. Damned if I can remember when that was, though... In my mind, it kind of feels around 1991(ish)? Anyone remember that/ can correct me?

Yes you are right Don was in the band a year..I started singing with em authum 2000.Don was in the band at the time. He also plays all the Keys on The Company of snakes” Burst the Bubble” album.

Love Coverdale’s full legacy. However, I assume he’s smartly surrounded himself with amazing musicians & songwriters. Once the hair metal became in vogue, needed guys who looked the part. They were awesome as well. But yeah, always surrounded by talent. These cats were an amazing part of the machinery that is/was Whitesnake. Then moved to the next set of guys. Over & over. All great though.
