Stunt Track Driver 2 | The Forgotten Sequel | TheLostYeti

Recently I remembered an ill faded Hotwheels game from 1998. Hot Wheels Stunt track driver, which was a challenging 3rd person car racer that was crazy unique and fun for its time. Revisiting the game made me realize of an even more niche sequel, so naturally it deserved a revisit.
So lets take it on ourselves to take a trip down Memory lane. Revisit the game, and see how well it holds up, and see if I have what it takes to beat all of the classic tracks and become a Hotwheels stunt track driver.

Few things to note if you ever decide to play this again:
- You definitely want to go into the single race mode and unlock more cars before you do the championship mode. One of the problems you were running into was that truck is not great.
- Landing tricks = more speed
- You can barrel roll by pressing ctrl. Combine that with the spin and you can pull off big tricks that give you huge speed boosts
- Yes, this game is so much harder now than it was in the day. I remember as a kid, I could easily beat the championship mode (so it definitely is possible without editing the config). As an adult, I've tried many times and can't do it
- Editing the config is clever, I had no idea you could even do that

Pro Tip:
The best way to get more speed (and beat the clock) is also the same way you unlock more cars: performing a bunch of mid-air stunts.
Aside from giving you a massive speed boost (it scales with the complexity of the stunts you pull off), attaining a specific score from said stunts will unlock a new car (I think it’s one car per track).
