For all you DIY bodymen, a planishing hammer may be out of reach. Using a air hammer, the right bit and a dolly, you've got yourself a planishing hammer. It's portable and it really does work.
I did not realize that it would work as well as it did. I am still learning what it will do, and I did not realize you could turn down the air hammer that low to give you the control you need. Thanks. Stevo
Great idea. Noticed when I worked with air tools the the tool gets heavy from larger supply hose, have a smaller (jumper hose) hose that I use between tool and larger supply hose. It is also more flexible. Tks for tip
There you go again with your dolly. Powerfist :-) I learned something today !!! I bet you could take out dents on a painted panel with some padding on the dolly.
How's she goin'? That's a great idea for the air hammer. I see you were hammering on the inside and then the outside. Is there any difference? Take care!!!
I went from the inside to take the dents out then from the outside to give me some control over the final finish. I'm still playing and learning as I go. Thanks. Stevo
5:10 ish you circled the dents . my metal shaping tutor showed me that metalshaping ~ it aint engineering measurements and stuff its ; looky , touchy , weldy , chop a piece out & make a new piece , planish weld's and feel like DR frankenstin . making compound curves on sheet metal is like trying to nail diarrhea to a wall
Wow I got a air hammer also never thought about using it on body work thks stevo

nice! looks like you go that one at princess auto too
Good eye. Yes that is a princess auto purchase. I have used it a few times now and am glad I got it. Thanks for tuning in. Stevo

You are right about the wait of some hoses. They are less flexible as well. Thanks. Stevo
Hi Stevo. I'm not ready for seriousness either LOL. Another great idea with an air hammer. Nice work Stevo
If you are too serious, people expect more out of you and that cramps my style. Just get it right the last time. Thanks Dave. Stevo
Nice work, Stevo. Good to know.
It was something I wanted to try and I wished I would of done it sooner. Stevo
You can make many different tips /tools to stick in the air hammers
Ya I have been doing some thinking. I did not realize you could turn an air hammer down that low. Could be a fun tool. Thanks. Stevo

Now I have to give it a try on something. Won't know till you try. Stevo
Where did you buy your tips to use? Great job
It was a 5 piece bit set I bought off amazon for about $35. So far so good. Thanks, Stevo

Where did you get bits for air gun
I purchased a kit off of Amazon. There are different ones to choose from depending on your needs. Cost is less than I thought. Thanks. Stevo

It is all art when you get down to it, and kind of fun. Thanks. Stevo

The old craftsmen are disappearing. I remember when I was young, I watched an old fellow build a fender. Would love to have that talent.@@tomford5416
@@stevoj8959 yeah ! ~ are you building anything ?
Seems I only fix things. Thanks. Stevo@@tomford5416
