It's a love letter to the early 1980's Coleco version while being unique in its own right, it's grown me and that I don't have to spend $400 on a Coleco original is an added bonus in my books.
I just got mine in the mail today, and I LOVE it! This version is hard, but I made it to the final intermission (there are 3 like in the real game) which is the exact same intermission skit as the 1st one, so NO Pacman or Pacbaby in this one. The game skill level wise plays just like the real one down to the 🍈's power pellet lasting longer than the 🍎, and the 🍌 is faster than both. The joysticks sucks as it is gummy. Very fun game, worth the price. I pick this one over the Walmart one due to a more accurate control panel with the joystick in the middle and easier game play. I got this on Amazon.
utterly baffling why they did this. it takes more effort to make a custom lcd and code a custom game than it would be to just do a genuine emulation. not a fan at all.
