Simple solution: don't trade with anyone. The "system" is too easily abused. Donate to individuals (just don't use the donation box, or some high level toxic twit will swipe everything like the nasty little porch pirates they are) but don't trade. I don't even trade with my team mates. I give them stuff, and if they want to reciprocate, that's great, but it's not expected or required.

As someone who counts their money coming out of an ATM machine in real life, I don't trust nobody. I even got killed by a person's camp once with pacifist mode turned on (yes thats apparently a real thing that can happen in game, people do it to steal your loot) My rule of thumb is if it's not in a vendor and the vendor is not directly outside and out front of your camp or if it is located inside as long as it isn't in a shady weirdly placed area I'll gladly buy from ya. Otherwise, I'll lose interest. I'm sorry 😞 also I don't do trades if you want to sell me something party up and put it in your vendor, and I'll gladly buy it that way.
As a trap camper, we do it mainly cause it's all part of the game, but I also like to inform people who aren't salty, there is actually a card in agility called lightfooted that allows you to sneak past all floor based traps while crouched, most of us are using punji boards so I hope that helps
Trap camps are easy lmao If I can, I try to engage in PvP so I can DESTROY their camp and totally tear it down and usually it ensues with them sending me messages and crying about it. Too bad lol it's "part of the game"

Some cosmetic items (and also some weapon god rolls) can have community trade price more than 40000 caps, you can't effectively trade these in vending machine. Only if you trade with excess items.

These masks are super rare and some of them appeal to people cuz of how they look. On top of that, last year was the first year (IMO) that CZcamsrs REALLY started covering and talking about the event, so people are more aware of it now and really want to get the masks.

You have a CHANCE of getting certain masks. Which means LUCK. It's possible to play every event for the 2 weeks and still not get a particular mask. You have a chance to win the lottery but . . .

I had a situation similar to yours the Fasnacht before they removed legacies. I wanted one and they said they had one and wanted 2 rare masks for it. After almost 2 1/2 hours I just said let’s call it quits and go do the event. After the event they kept setting it at 0 and cancelling their menu, eventually I just clicked quick enough and got it. I dropped them both the masks and the trade ended well but the whole situation felt weird up until it was finally over. Then again any trade involving a Legacy always felt sketchy.
I keep getting the same masks and plans all over again... same with meat week. I played meat week at least 4 times per day and 6 - 8 times per weekend... and got only 3 recipes new... the rest was repeated stuff. The basic shit... not even rare plans or recipes, just the basic ones or uncommon.
I think Ive gotten a mask each event I got in today (newish lelvel 140 player here), I wanted to be nice and "donated" one and was taken instantly by a player that already had it so I will be either only selling duplicates at 200 caps or keeping them for later.

It is hard telling people not to get scammed this Fasnacht seeing as Fasnacht and the other seasonal events are basically scams. Bethesda has had these set as a scam in an attempt to force players to do all of these events dozens of times. For example, the recent Mothman event was supposed to only give you each items once, whereas in reality, I got 3 and 4 of each useless item and never once got the damned tome, even after 30 tried. Please add Bethesda to your scam list.

I swear, a small majority of these people were likely tricked into honestly thinking the other party was honest and would uphold thier end of the deal. Know what i think? Most people who do shitty things like that had parents who were failures. Probably didnt recieve enough love or attention growing up so now they do terrible things to other human beings and they themselves get scammed and cry about it only to go scam others. These people lack empathy.

Was very VERY disappointed with the Fasnacht event last go-around regarding EVERYTHING. Poor weather kept me inside playing on my Xbox, so I had multiple tries to get rare masks. SO, how many did I get after playing it every single day at least 4-6 hours a day? ZERO rare masks. None. Nada. Numero zilch. To add insult to injury, the event crashed/dashboarded me to my xbox home screen over 60 percent of the attempts to complete the event. I have no hardware or internet issues, so it is alllllll Bethesda. Tried it four times last night...got a plain scorchbeast mask, a goblin, toothy man, and a dashboarded game crash. No rare mask. Again. And why bother putting unwanted masks in the donation box at the event? People will just grab every single one that is in there and put them in their vendors instead of sharing them. To me, you should have to put in a mask to get in a mask but whatever....

If you’ve traded before on 76, it’s pretty easy to understand how someone could scam you. You drop first, they don’t drop and take your item. The purpose of the video was to provide resources for those trading, like the blacklists and courier information. Since there are like 40 different lists, I put them all together in one place so people wouldn’t have to look around the internet.

I’m sorry dude! When you trade anything player to player, someone has to trade the item first. Let’s say you were trading with someone, you put up your item, they take it, then don’t put up theirs and leave the trade/server. Thats how you can get scammed. 🤙🏻
3rd Party trading has been a risk since the 90s MMOs. Nothing has changed. This game is full of griefers. I keep to myself, trust no one, I keep all my production machines locked and switch servers when I have to. Sorry for ya man but this has been going on since the Ultima Online days way back in 1995.
Yeah, unfortunitly there are some scummy people in this game. they don't outnumber the good ones tho. but they do enough damage as it is. don't trade with anyone and don't buy over-priced items at CAMP vendors. Always shop around CAMPs for better prices.

Would be nice if you mentioned how people are scamming, not a detailed how to, but an overivew so we know what to look for, a whoile video is a bit over kill for essentially just saying "don't get scammed" out of context.
If you’ve traded before on 76, it’s pretty easy to understand how someone could scam you. You drop first, they don’t drop and take your item.
The purpose of the video was to provide resources for those trading, like the blacklists and courier information. Since there are like 40 different lists, I put them all together in one place so people wouldn’t have to look around the internet.

Personally, because im too trusting. However, i didn’t include how they are able to scam you because i was under the assumption that viewers would be aware of how the trading system has faults. I’m sorry dude!
When you trade anything player to player, someone has to trade the item first. Let’s say you were trading with someone, you put up your item, they take it, then don’t put up theirs and leave the trade/server.
Thats how you can get scammed. 🤙🏻
3rd Party trading has been a risk since the 90s MMOs. Nothing has changed. This game is full of griefers. I keep to myself, trust no one, I keep all my production machines locked and switch servers when I have to. Sorry for ya man but this has been going on since the Ultima Online days way back in 1995.

Yeah, unfortunitly there are some scummy people in this game. they don't outnumber the good ones tho. but they do enough damage as it is. don't trade with anyone and don't buy over-priced items at CAMP vendors. Always shop around CAMPs for better prices.

May just be me, but as of this Monday I had every single obtainable Fasnacht Mask. Now I have to grind for 6 more…when there are usually only 3 new ones per year…
