This song, as "She Understands Me" became a top 40 hit for Johnny Tillotson in 1964, and again for Bobby Vinton in 1966 under the title "Dum-De-Da". Written by Margie Singleton and Merle Kilgore. B-side is "Just Before We Say Goodbye".

    My wife requested that this song be played on the local radio station about 30+ years or so. She asked the DJ who was and still is her friend to play this song so that her EX would get the message and move on! We are still together 30+ years!!

    Just lovely, when music was really music and there was a storyline told in 3 mins or less. Now, its brag, sex, sex, kill, money, drugs, war, murder, and all kinds of crap. I am at peace with this kind of music. Thank you for sharing

    A funny story. In the first class I taught were Teresa Brewer and Gary Moore (not the famous ones, of course). Later I taught Mary Badham, Scout in To Kill a Mockingbird!
