I had just recently bought this kit to fix the tears for my hunter green couch. I had looked at many different dye kits and decided that this one would be the best. The colored little tubs in other kits seem like It would be to hard to mix and match to get your color. The green dye matched great and I am very satisfied. I would say it would work better for small tears or just rub wear for touch up. I agree the video was a rush job and could have probably come out better if it was sanded smoother and if there were multiple thinner layers instead of a thick layer. But with a big tear or hole like in this video its hard to get it perfect. His other video of the green sofa chair came out great.

Hi my name is Mike Bryan great job on fixing it if only my brothers would have seen this we would have been in the vinyl business even to this day I really miss this kind of work and back then it was easy money and a lots of fun and work but we ran out of the vinyl repair compounds and we had to order more from the company that we had order our kit from so that videos helped me a lot now I know how to fix the big tips thanks.

    Reading the comment section,
(hey one can usually learn some amazing helpful things down here🌞)but today in reading these comments....I've concluded that quite a few leather craftsman think they are superior beings ..a cut above the rest of the crowd......or possibly could be just some of these folks who God- only -knows- why they've- watched this nicely done instructional how to use a leather repair kit video..well these folks with their comments of put downs they really truly are never happy or content in life ...except for the times when they are attempting to have others join them in their less than charitable pissy-ness by putting someone else down LOL... and no matter what every time i click on their name to see their how to video and check it out.... since they can do it so much better ....lo and behold .....they've never even acconplished a single one!

I ordered the kits suggested in this video to repair a giant hole on my leather couch. The hole was unsightly, and I had been trying to cover it for weeks. The filler kit and the leather dye kit have completely saved the day! My leather couch and the whole sectional now look attractive again. Would highly recommend buying the required kits. Combined cost of the kits was far cheaper than dropping $10,000 on a new leather sectional.

Really impressive repair considering what you started with! I've been looking for a solution to repair a beautiful, soft faux leather motorcycle jacket. The collar has cracks and bits missing at the fold/crease at the back of the neck. I'm assuming perspiration weakened the material (polyurethane). This looks like it might be the solution I've been looking for. How well does this product work with polyurethane? How does one select the right color dye to match? (My jacket is dark black, but not ebony black.)

Question: Would you want to use a small roller to roll over the entire patch (on the underside of the leather) as opposed to just using your fingers? And please forgive my ignorance, but before the large area dried (before the 12 minute mark) it looked like the left side (from my view) of the tear was a "bubbled" or puckered because it seemed overly filled with "filler" making it look like it needed to be squeezed out. After it dried it looked less puckered or "bubbled," but still like there was "extra filler" under the leather. Or was that just how it looked from the camera's perspective and not yours (not in reality)?

If the couch has the same material in the back then you can take that material and replace the panel that has the tear...then you just replace the peice of leather taken from the back with something that matches closest to it...works great if the back of the couch is facing the wall.
