I think you gotta look at where the majority of caps are. Danny care, Johnny may, and Jack Nowell carry some of the most caps, yet have been largely out of the England setup for a number of years.
@@lewismchardy788 I recall them to play in the last 6 Nations tournament unlike Ollivon who missed out entirely. 3 months injuries are common, year long injuries are more often career ending so for Ollivon to return at this level (he had a few games with RC Toulon) is testament to is steel and mental resilience. But I get your point, an injury break is an injury break and you cannot expect players to come back to the fullest, May did not seem bother though he produced is usual best. So it is clearly not where England faltered.
@@lewismchardy788 Jack Nowell has played all the last 6 Nations, Danny Care was dropped in 2018 quite some time indeed but at 84 caps it is like saying Morgan Parra was not a regular for France, hardly the truth. Johnny May has been a regular till November 2021 becoming the second highest try scorer of all time for England so again, it is like saying Vincent Clerc was not a regular for France, hardly the truth. These 3 are the backbone of the midfield and backline.
That red card tells me of a different sport compared to the one I used to play and love. Contact was light, nobody got hurt, and he was also starting to embrace the opponent but he stood because of the knock on.
Except Schickerling did get hurt, he got a concussion and left the game. Allowing the dangerous plays of old that have lead to brain damage and early onset dementia in many doesn't make you 'hard' and isn't 'the good old days', it's moronic and if you yearn for that you should stop watching rugby.
@@gktbaron just saw the highlights and i did not know about the consequences of the hit. But it stays that this rule introduce an objective fault, totally disconnected from the will of the tackler. If a player lean at the right moment of the impact, the tackler can't avoid a red card. That's not fair.

The ball came off the back of May’s hand! So much for a deliberate knock-on. Hill ran into the guy, who was trying to protect his chest against the impact. A good job I’m not a referee, the game might retain 30 players throughout the duration. Is that such a bad thing?
To me it looks like the English players aren't fit enough. They're struggling to get back to the line and aren't fully putting the effort in required of international rugby

In England's defense, it should be said despite the bad result, that this is a really bad matchup to go into being that they're the national team, although not at full strength, which means they had everything to lose. I think you gotta look at where the majority of caps are. Danny care, Johnny may, and Jack Nowell carry some of the most caps, yet have been largely out of the England setup for a number of years.
You included ollivons injury, but what about nowells, mays, underhills, hills etc etc
Second Penaud try was clearly in touch. England looked bad though.
Good game
😄
Hey guys the title is wrong. It's "England select" v Barbarians, not England v Barbarians. Eddie just told us.
England select Vs France select + friends then ?
Niniashvili super
@@gktbaron Bet you're fun at parties! Are you a ref?
@@simonhill1590 George’s right on this one.
The purpose being to make sure than everyone is able to have fun at the end of match party.
It is true that these shocks can be very demeaning to the health of players, who don’t need to be sacrificial to us spectators desire for fun at parties.
Good game England
Hard call on Skelton but great Baa Baas
Quality Rugby.
Only one side of the opposition really had fun 😏
The ball came off the back of May’s hand! So much for a deliberate knock-on.
Hill ran into the guy, who was trying to protect his chest against the impact.
A good job I’m not a referee, the game might retain 30 players throughout the duration. Is that such a bad thing?
Smith is very good, very promising
This is Rugby
To me it looks like the English players aren't fit enough. They're struggling to get back to the line and aren't fully putting the effort in required of international rugby
It's an exhibition match. Eddie told them to take it easy and not give away anything before the Australia series.
@@AgentMoray if you take it easy you should be able to match a 14 men team with a weeks worth of common experience. That wasn’t taking it easy that was being hilariously outmatched. Pathetic
@@AgentMoray 😴😴😴
Mate a lot had played in a Premier final a few days before
Very concerning for England's trip to Australia. What's the game plan?
A different one. Teams are always a bit rash and flighty for Barbarian games - it adds to the spectacle.
@@AgentMoray 😴😴😴
The game plan certainly won’t be shown off in an un-capped game against the barbarians
@@joeboonmusic4004 Of course May, Cokanasiga, Nowell etc. are illustrious strangers
If only The barbarians were a team in the league..... they just tore England a new one....
I thought the Baa-Baas only contended teams from 4 of the 6 Nations countries like the British and Irish Lions Irl, Eng, Scot, Wales Also I thought there were just 1 match or is there 2-3 games that the Barbarians play in each yr?
Bloody hell a red card and still lost
These cards are ridiculous!
In England's defense, it should be said despite the bad result, that this is a really bad matchup to go into being that they're the national team, although not at full strength, which means they had everything to lose. They're expected to win at home, while Baabaa players could just be at their best for the heck of it and for a nice scalp.
This is barely France B/C so not really an excuse either
So how was Skelton to protect himself from an English forward going full tilt into him?? Was not a red but accidental play so carry on.
Can't see them beating Australia
Owned😂
