@@rabbitss11 Springboks vs NZ semi-final (potentially). Either one could win through to the Final (and/or win the whole thing), and if they eventually do win, then they’ll be deserved winners. Still, I think France will be primed to clobber all-comers: this RWC reads to me like France ‘98 in the round ball game when France built up considerable momentum before the start of the competition and then ran away with the trophy in the actual competition.

The year before England were in the doldrums, but their attack was very good in 2018 regardless. With determination and strong new caps they managed a good autumn that year. Curry, Wilson, May all really announced themselves.
This year, the next cycle, we look quite a bit more behind than we did in 2018. New caps seem to be nervous and hard to point out good new players for England other than Smith. The attack is also not scoring tries as well as they did in 2018.

Une équipe de France qui passe une tannée à nos meilleurs "ennemis":
    -A Twickenham.
    -A 14 joueurs.
    -8 essais.

For those of you who like crunching the numbers: England 447 caps combined, Barbarians 261 caps combined. While it was an experimental England side, it had a solid England backbone so the youngsters were not exactly thrown into the deep end. With Skelton being red carded before half time, it comes down to 242 caps for the Baabaas. Overall, I would dare to suggest these were two pretty even sides at least for their starting XV with England the most experienced bench so in all logic England should have at the very least been expected to stay close at the scoreboard. Now, if you add the home advantage and the red card, it is fair to say England should have won. That's for the "hear say" and for those like me who don't know all the players from both sides, here is the breakdown.
    ENGLAND STARTERS 225 caps total
    15. Tommy Freeman (0 caps)
    14. Joe Cokanasiga (11 caps)

@@lewismchardy788 I recall them to play in the last 6 Nations tournament unlike Ollivon who missed out entirely. 3 months injuries are common, year long injuries are more often career ending so for Ollivon to return at this level (he had a few games with RC Toulon) is testament to is steel and mental resilience. But I get your point, an injury break is an injury break and you cannot expect players to come back to the fullest, May did not seem bother though he produced is usual best. So it is clearly not where England faltered.
