Wow, this is exactly what happened to me as well. I just turned 27, and my marriage didn't even last a year. He started treating me with so much disrespect that the love was completely gone. It's like right after the wedding everything changed. I'm glad I'm out, but I know people judge me.

Writes a song "don't judge a woman", continues to judge a woman in the first verse saying "too tight low cut dress, even if her judgement ain't the best".... I was really hoping for an empowering song, where a woman is more than something to be perceived and her relationship to a man, but alas. Maybe leading by example would be good, where the woman lives for *herself* not for all the relationships she's expected to maintain. I think country can do better
How is that judging a woman? Have you never had a friend go through an awful break up, put on something tight to get attention and try to sleep the pain away? That's pretty bad judgment for most of us. It's done out of hurt.
Maybe you should also include "she came here for a reason" while trying to disect this song since it gives meaning to the next line.
This is a very poignant song. Women should be treasured and treated with the utmost dignity and respect. So why are they often not treated this way by their significant others and people in general? Human nature and original sin-that's why. But this is something we are all born with, male and female. We inherited our sin nature from Adam and Eve, the first two humans created by God and created in His image. We are all created in God's image, but we now have a fallen nature to contend with. So we need God's grace (and love), to know how to love others (and ourselves), the right way. (For God is LOVE.) And so Jesus came to provide us with a way back to God (the Father) and deliverance from the fallen nature that we have all been victims of. It is by God's grace that we can be saved if we believe in the gospel of Jesus the Christ. I hope and pray that all who read this will know the truth that can set them free if they don't already. Peace and love to all. In Jesus' name, Amen.
