I have finally got around to covering our friends cushion covers.
It is all well and good volunteering for these things but it comes with a lot of responsibility. We weren't sure they had bought enough fabric so I had to get it right! There wasn't enough that I could have the grain going the same way on everything but being a plain colour helped a lot, the grain wasn't obvious!
I got there in the end and thought it would be good to show that not all jobs goes smoothly. What am I saying?! Mine projects often come with problems but I get around them LOL!

Wow. You are definitely a dedicated professional sewer who is good to her friends!
I've made countless cushion covers (with mix 'n match fabrics repurposed from other stuff) and completed several reupholstery projects in my RVs over the years. I always used the great and easy 'envelope' hack to sew covers. In my messy life, everything must be removable and washable! Mind you, I was sewing for myself/family...no pressure, no stress.
Brava for volunteering your time and talent. The end result was fantastic! The chair looked so mid-century modern.
