I was half expecting Esther Hunt's savage dog to come roaring out of her yard, barking and showing all its teeth! I brought a girl home for Sunday dinner when I was going to MUN, forty years ago. The old man had the girl persuaded that there weren't really two graveyards, across from each other. Instead, he said, there had only been one graveyard, and they had paved over the graves of the hard cases, to make the road. I had the devil's own time persuading her that he was joking. In the meantime, the original old graveyard used to be a dandy spot to pick strawberries!
@@harryporter7220 strawberries still grow there but I was told that the old prison camp on Salmonier Line is a great place to pick wild strawberries. Apparently there are lots there. Probably a bit late in the year now though. Thanks for watching.
Downtown Foxtrap! Awesome. Mrs. Betty’s uncle was minister at All Saints for many years…Rev. Owen Coffin, originally from Joe Batts Arm!
Maybe it’s just a coincidence but GBL-The Ole Church 5 Acre Homestead is located at 1 Church Road, Davidsville, NL…enjoy your ride.
