I love how thorough your formula descriptions are. Not "just" comparing to other formulas but actually describing what works and what doesn't with a certain formula. That is why I love your reviews so much - because I can make a better decision based on these descriptions.
Keep up the good Work!
Thank you so much, I am so happy you find it helpful!
Thank you for not doing monochromatic looks. I feel like they are the easy option, they are beautiful, but I don't particularly need someone to show me how to do it. Multicolored looks are so stunning and a bit harder in conception for me to do without inspiration so thank you!
I actually recreated this palette with my singles so I am happy to be able to have your looks for inspo.
:)
I love how Angie is so good with colour placement. Even if I don't have the palette she's using, if I'm looking at something similar I can recall the look she did and I feel like I'm taking my look from lvl1 to lvl2!
do you ever worry that a "red" and "green" combo looks too much like Christmas? The second look I started out thinking it looked muddy but I absolutely love what you did with that look!! Just proves you have to trust the process :) thanks for making color acceptable and fierce!!! I am 43 and love love love using color and anyone who says I am too old can suck it!
imo i think the lightness of the green combined with the summer dress makes it not Christmassy. But i know what you mean, i was brought up with old color rules. My mum would say things like blue and green should never be seen!
I think when it's not primary color red and green, but instead red and green with a twist it makes it less Christmas-y.
When you mentioned putting down black first and blending with colour I thought I'd really like to see a video on doing a colourful twist on a dark, grungy smokey eye 🤔
And then the next look is almost that 😂 But before someone points it out to me, I meant smokey eye with the black lid and fading into colour in the crease kind of thing 😊
I really love the way you describe formulas when you review a pallette, it's really helpful to know if they can build on top of each other or not, and since that's how I like to apply my eyeshadow most of the time, I dont think this would be a good fit for me 🥰 All 3 looks were beautiful though 🙃
your talent blows my mind. you are constantly raising your own bar. it is beautiful to watch!
Awh thank you! 😭❤️
I'm still heartbroken that i missed those Melt palettes. I loved the color stories, and that packaging is to die for. I don't own any Melt palettes, because nothing grabbed me the way those two did.
I Iove all three looks! Thank you for doing three tutorials; I know this is time consuming. You have provided me with great inspiration for the palettes I own. 😊❤️
Thank you so much!
Lol. “Some tiny, tiny burning hoops”.
That cracked me up.
I love all 3 looks but the yellow-green-blue peacock combo just speaks to me. I love that you tried out different colour choices so we can see how most of these shadows perform and I wasnt gonna pick this up until you reviewed it! As someone with very hooded/monolids, your tip on bringing the shimmer up higher than the crease is definitely helpful for opening up the eyes and remaining visible. Otherwise, everything but the crease colour disappears when I open my eyes 😂
I bought it yesterday since dior cancelled my order for the night bird palette. The two middle rows sold me. It reminds of Melt Cosmetics Gemini and Smoke Sessions
I was so into this palette the minute I saw it and am excited to see the “queen of color’s” opinion on this!! I still wish they would re-release the Book of Magic palette and wish also that Melt would re-release the Muerte palettes!! I really love the 2nd look btw…all were pretty…but that’s my favorite!!
Angie is so right about the formula. I own the Book of magic palette and I place the darkest matte first and in order the shimmers stay I apply the Nyx pigment primer. 😉 Great review and great looks !!
I can NEVER get bored with you and your channel! ☺️ Any down time and I'm on your page skimming through and watching all your content ✌️🌼😘
I usually start with the darkest shade so I'm glad to know this palette works perfectly with my style
All of these looks are so beautiful! Really inspired to try similar looks with my own palettes since I shouldn’t buy any more 😅
The second look is my favorite for sure. The third look makes me think of pumpkin pie, spiced cider, and corn field mazes; i like that one too.
Given both brands are in a similar price bracket, I was wondering if "for the price" the BH formula is still a better choice than the BB formula? Of course, it's also a matter of preference. I also wonder whether the formula of the shades is indicative of how make-up is applied in the UK? 🤔
In my humble opinion, BH is just good, not good for the price, BUT GOOD GOOD. BB is nice, but BH beats it. But I'm curious about Angelica's opinion too!
Remembering UK beauty trends is a great point to me. A lot of times I hear people not like formulas like this, or absolutely love formulas like this, and beauty style likely influences a ton
I think bh is better too. I have the pastel palette from bb and it is AWFUL! The others are better probably but still...
The BH travel series is really good. I like the shimmers from BH more, but on the mattes...I'm kind of torn. Overall, BH is a bit better, imo. But the purples in the BB Book of Magic are my favorite purples of all time :)
@@LoSguardoDiCatbimba yeah I heard a few people say the pastel palette wasnt good
That last look with that top/dress with the poofy sleeves is so, so pretty.
The color story in this palette is gorgeous and for a $15 price point, it looks fantastic. That second look was stunning! Nothing I’d be able to pull off but it looks amazing on you.
Would be really interesting and educational to see the blue/green/yellow look done with the two different methods: one eye where you build from the lightest color, and one eye where you start with the darkest colour and blend with the lighter ones to see the difference in results. Could of course be other colours, I just really loved that colour combo 😁
All 3 looks are stunning! But that first look omg so different and unique I would never think to put red blue and green together like that wow just beautiful!
Love the detailed breakdown of the formula and your experience working with the palette! I'm a bit concerned about the creasing but glad to hear that it can be easily fixed. I adore the grungy blue and yellow look, it has extreme avant garde and editorial vibes 👌✨
I’m so excited because I have the book of magic and the Nikki and I enjoy them I wanted the love one but I have the Natasha and I need to use it. I have hooded eyes and I use glitter glue with all shimmers so these ones don’t crease on me.
You would think by now I wouldn't be so floored by the colours you put together... you're so good at colour placement! I know you said these weren't your favorite shades, but if this oalette can pull looks like that FOR $15... that's really impressive.
I've noticed since the RawBeautyKristiXcolourpop collection there has been a boom in woodsie themed palettes, and I'm not mad. Deep earth tones should have its moment! Variations of colour stories inspire new trends.
100/10 video Angie!
Thank you for the amazing effort you put into filming this video. I appreciate how hard you work to deliver these videos.
Thank you! 🙈❤️
I am obsessedddddd with the top you're wearing in the first look
I LOVE yellow, green, and blue together! 💛💚💙
OH MY LORD, that last color combo got me. Its so gorgeous. Feeling inspired, also this pallet is really tempting me, I really wanted the muerte pallets D:
The green/blue look was stunning! I loved them all but the blue/green was just amazing. Love the look!
You really nailed these looks! Stunning! ✨❤️
I got my Wilderness Palette yesterday and I looove it! Have done two looks with it so far. It's funny how different it is for different people, I have slightly hooded and veeery oily lids and these shimmers never crease on me.. 🤪 The matte shadows are also kinda perfect for me since I almost always apply the darkest shadow first and then go in with the lighter shades. (It's a little bit of the same procedure as I do with the Ace Beautè matte formula. Got three palettes from them).
From by Beauty Bay I do have the Book of Magic from earlier and love that one so I just had to buy this one too. ❤️
Angie, the second look 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 my jaw dropped! Gorgeous! Stunning!💎😍💞
P
The color combinations in your eye looks are all so inspiring! You definitely use colors I would have never thought would go together but you literally slay them all 😍
I’ve been so excited to see your looks with this 🥳🥳
Ahhhhhhh!! I've been waiting for this!!! 💚🤩🖤😍💚
Omg… 💀💀💀💀 Angie! You KILLED these looks! I have no words… your talent is incredible! And to think- you did this w a $15 palette 🎨
Gorgeous! Love the 3 looks. 💖
Thank you for your review, was waiting from last week.
omg can't wait to see this after I finished work!! ❤️🙏
I'm envious of how you're orange & yellow toned clothing looks so good on you. Those colors would fabulous on any golden or warm undertone person's skin. I have a cool pink undertone. I can't pull yellow or orange off @ least clothing next to my face. I can wear eyeshadows in that color range since I've got a neutral brown eye. I wished I looked good in mustard yellow outfits. However, I can rock any vibrant jewel toned color. 😊
Love the 3 looks videos!!
I'm turning 45 this week and that ASOS dress is exactly the same as some kitchen wallpaper prints from from when I was very little, which is not a put down, but wow does it take me back. Very retro. It makes me want a tuna casserole and a glass of Kool Aid.
I'm 40 and I remember that. Giving me vibes from the 70s. The wallpaper my parents had when I was growing up
I love and appreciate your makeup application tips! So helpful!
Så fina looks, alla tre! Kul med lite inspiration 😍
The first make up look😍😍, with ur puff blue top, gorgeous - a butterfly princess look. 🦋👑 Love😍😍 the glimmer line on the upper lid sooo much!! 😍😍
All of the looks are gorgeous and full of color, really!! So spoiled by 3 different looks from you! 🙏💖💚💙❤️🤎💛
Thankyou so much for sharing us this new beauty product dear ❤️🤗
STUNNING!
Thank you so much for all the detail you put into your reviews! And you manage to slide so many great tisp into your tutorials. Much appreciated!
Love these looks you created!!
Love those eyes. Can’t wait to ‘try’ and recreate them!!
That palette got me. It did. Your video only made me feel like I need it right now!
I agree that second look WOW beautiful ! Loving your blouse with the last look.
I LOVE that color story 😍
I’m always so impressed how you pair colors
Am I the only one who thinks that this palette is similar to the Sample Beauty Plush one? Great looks Angie, as always you're killing it!
I've been waiting for this video bc this color story is stunning 😍
Love love love your swatches always on point 💄
This one is on my way to me very beautiful palette looking forward to trying it!
Thank you for review! I actually almost every time start with darker eyeshadows on my eyelids, so I might go well with this palette.
Awesome thank you for the inspiration!
#3 is gorgeous as well! I love the colors you put together. Your artistry is beautiful to watch come alive through your videos.
Thank you so much for the comparisons especially! ❤️The packaging design was spectacular on Amor Eterno collection, but at least the Wilderness will put an end to the color story FOMO finally.
You do the BEST reviews ever! Love you 💕💕💕
What a detailed and thorough review! 👍
I'm so thankful you pointed out that the formula is tricky while layering. I like to layer my eyeshadow and wear 3 or more colors at a time, so this information is really important to me!
I adore all three of the looks. And the outfits 😍
The second look is absolutely Stunning!!
I love 💙💛💚🖤 the first two looks!
Yayyyyy!! Mines coming tomorrow!
I LOVE YOUR LOOKS
Hey Girl, thanks for the tips for shadow application, they are great and useful! 🙂🙂🙂
I absolutely LOVE your use of colors and I wish tutorials would get popular again because I'm a tad bit clueless about trying different looks. I try but I know it could be better.
If anyone is interested in the creasing issue, I got mine this morning and have been playing. I've been wearing a different look on each eye for several hours with no creasing. I used Urban Decay primer potion in Eden on one eye and tested the Smashbox liquid shadow in vanilla as a primer for the other side. Both are absolutely fine 👍
Oh and I didn't spray any of them except for the white with green shimmer for the inner corner 💚
The second look is absolutely beautiful!
Really nice, the last one is my favorite 🤗
Just bought mine, so excited beauty bay brought it back!
Just want to say the energy you bring to your videos is amazing! It always makes me so happy to watch. 😄
Tie between second and third being my favorites 🥰
Thank you so much for sharing this ... totally sold Me so thank you for the link, as well! Much love from Las Vegas 💙
Loved all three looks!😍 Now I want to recreate at least one of them🙂
These looks are amazing. Mine is on the way! I Definitely wanna create Muerte vibes when I get it.🖤❤💙
All three of these looks were beautiful. You've inspired me to think about trying different color combos on my eyes.
I Freakin love all 3 looks!! 🤩🤩
This is the most interesting and fun color story I've ever seen from Beautybay 😊 I'm really so inspired by all the looks you did, so for the last 2 hours I've been trying to make my own dupe of the palette 😀
All three are BEAUTIFUL !!!👏👏👏
Yay! Right after my other video was ending and I was about to get out of bed 🤣
I just loved all 3 looks, and I also love how you changed your tops each time to make a statement. Must say that I really love the first one you had on the color is be on you. 😘
Looking at the first look - do I remember correctly you said, you haven't tried Eunique beauty yet? I actually think you would really enjoy it, they have crazy pigmented but smooth bright mattes and very special foiled shimmerrs and fun toppers, I just got my first order from them yesterday and I really think you'd like them.
The second look is brilliant, so unique.
Love these looks so happy with my pallette 💚💙❤
Thanks for the inspiration. I feel like I could do a similar look as look nr. 2 with the Club Nebula :)
I love the last two looks so much!
I think I'll try this palette as you seemed to think the quality was quite good 😊
Thankyou soo much for always doing great colour combos, I have no clue with colours so for me this is wonderful as I am able to recreate your colourful looks with ease (and feel amazingly pretty) and use up more of my palettes. Thank you for being you Angie ♥️💚🧡🤎💙
Omg, look #2 was unexpected but impressive! Wow, would have never thought of those color combos! Love love love!!
I bought this palette last week and today is the first day I wear it on my eyes 😅
Thank you for more inspiration 😊
You have a way of making viewers feel so connected and a part of your experience and it’s addicting! Love these looks so much and really wish I didn’t purchase the wilderness the day it came out because I would have wanted to use your code! Next time though! ♥️
I’ve been WAITING for this video!!😍 I got this palette for my birthday and for me it’s the perfect mix between melt Muerte and kaleidos flowerpunk for a great price point😭 your looks always give me inspiration so I happy to see 3 looks from you❤️
LOVE your earrings in the 3rd look! Looks like an Egyptian eye with false eyelashes! 🥰
I just love this color story, and how many unique looks can be created with it. I have had great success with my BB Book of Magic palette, so I'm excited to give this a try. Ordered placed! 🧡💚💙
Top tip for you angie, i also get creasing from these types of shimmer formulas but the best way ive found to stop them is; once youve built up all your mattes, set the rest of your eyeshadow primer with any shadow, either a bone colour or one similar to the shimmer your using. Then apply glitter glue over that area so the shimmer sticks and thats the way i stop them from creasing. Yes its abit annoying but beauty bays shimmers are that beautiful its worth the effort i find.
I use the sigma eye primer fyi
Great tip!
Thanks for the review angelica! 😊 will wait for a sale then 🙈
Thank you for this. I needed to be talked down off the ledge. Not that it doesn't look like a great palette but I don't need anymore makeup at this point in my life and I could feel myself reaching for that mouse and clicking on it. My first impression when seeing this palette was that I have all those colours somewhere else in my collection and when you discussed the blendability of these shades, I realized that the colours I already have are formulas that blend better too. Well done! MWAH xox
