  • I found these great miniatures for about .75 cents a piece. I think they will make a great addition to my Dungeons and Dragons D&D game.

    That ogre is a low polygon model. That's why it all angular.

    Great job, man. Those are great for beginners & you get some decent sized ones for the price too

    I got these some time back after seeing a coupon for them on Facebook. With the promotion, it cost me $14.99. I couldn't resist and wished I had bought 2 sets at the time. I already had use for the ogres on my table. I painted the shirtless men with the axes to look like they had Celtic or Norse tribal tattoos to make them a bit more interesting. All in all, I think this is worth it at full price and gives some nice offerings for gaming. It definitely provides great options for different poses in conflicts against orcs, kobolds, or goblins at the very least.

    The ogres kind look like Lego big figs. A very similar angled musculature.

    Great review! I wish some of these companies would make some cheap Sci-Fi guys. I've been converting some of my old Heroclix, but it would be nice to have a quick batch of 40 like this, even with the low poly count design.

    How about buy some Технолог miniatures? Something like "Битвы Fantasy" or "Castlecraft". They're really cheap.

    Both of John's paint jobs look great. I really want that Ogre type. His paint job really made it look super

    I bought this very same pack of miniatures, while the details are absolutely Meh and the mold lines are painfully annoying, I am happy with them and managed to convert a good portion of them, that giant axe carrying guy, I converted up with several warhammer bits I have one that I based off of He-man, some of the others i made into barbarian-esque characters one I am currently working on I'm modeling after the folk hero John Henry
    with the gnome wizard you can do some easy hand swaps with the other spell caster for some variety, the gargoyle/ demons are simply just that but with a good painting it detracts from the basic-ness, the hags I finally found a use for I made them into shroud wrapped statues so they can double as petrified things, statues, or even living statues :)

    Nice fun video - thanks! Like you, I am always on the lookout for 'cheap' minis - however - when you purchase a set like this, open them up, and whittle the contents down to truly 'usable' minis, quite often the cost per 'usable' mini is effectively quite a bit more than you'd expect. I guess everyone has their own baseline for quality of minis they would use - and for the price and the mix in this set, sadly this falls short of my personal requirements. However - I really appreciate you making the video, as it has saved me investing - and being disappointed. :-)

      I really appreciate this comment... I agree, minis are a personal preference as table standards. I think I can use all of these except for the shirtless dude.

    Can u put them next to official minis so we can judge them properly
    So if they are humanoid use a humanoid official mini if it's a large a large if it has an equivalent then use that
    It would make ur content more interesting

    You can find all these minis on thingiverse if you have a 3d printer, don't know if the company took the files or made them available, but I already print a couple of them

    Those sculpts look like they were stolen from Miguel Zavala's thingiverse page, unless he gave them permission to use and sell the sculpts.

  • @4lc4p0rn
    @4lc4p0rn Před 2 lety

    wow, those are pretty awful, most of them are almost entirely void of detail. i can see why you'd want these for tight budget gaming, as they do the job, but they dont really do it much better than a piece of printed paper glued to a piece of wood.
