In my days, we would have may be 8 or 10 dishes at the most. People would sit on the floor and food would be served in a biodegradable"pattal and dona". Some people would bring their own cups. There was no wastage of food and people enjoyed more as they would sit together. Now, I watch them eating in a plate, taking too much food and wasting, standing in a corner somewhere. It is more of a display of wealth than bonding with friends and families.

Looks nice Food is hygienically served and seems tasty. Cost would perhaps be More than 900 to 1200 ..perhaps 1500 plus..since the decorations are very nice ,room seems quite large, seem to have lot of uniformed staff for serving to etc. All such would also perhaps add up the cost indirectly. Those who could afford it and are willing to do such things are doing it. It looks nice to watch.

In north India we all eat standing but they also provide sitting areas ! And whats the problem while eating ! As a north Indian i also enjoy while standing or sometimes when i wanted i just take some food and sats down on a random chair !
I didn't find meat anywhere.I heard that south Indians eat meat. In Pakistani wedding vegetables are absent,everywhere is meat. And also I become surprised to see that everyone was eating biryani with hands. In Pakistan we eat it with spoon.
There is also a great and delicious variety of non vegetarian food in India also but for that u had to search for muslim wedding food...this is South Indian one .yaa they eat meat also but not everyone.
South Indian Hindus hold the marriage on a very auspicious day taking into the astrolgy factor. And Hindus on auspicious days abstain from eating meat. So hindus do not serve meat on the marriage ceremony days even if they are meat eaters. The meat eating is held 4 or 5 days after the marriage.And multiple meat items are relished then
Here not everyone eats so have to ignore nonvegfood ...I went in marriage where 35 types of sweets were there but no nonvevg just bcz of simple.reason that there are many vegetarian as well
