The fact that Rhodes Island itself is a relic of Pre Civilization Terra from an interstellar race and they still use basic toilets is even funnier to me
@@guycross493 or probably a lot of the facilities in the landship are already run down after countless thousands of years of being neglected and closure had to install replacements using tech of their era.
Aegir is definitely the country I'm most intrested in learning about, lovecraftian Atlantis is just such a cool concept.
I had no idea Columbia was based off of USA, I'm surprised that Columbia treats the infected the most humanely despite the horrific experiments done to Rosmontis, and Ifrit.

It’s bc pretty much everyone at Rhine Lab is a war criminal. To put it in real life perspective, if you take events such as the Holocaust out of the picture, the US has committed more war crimes than any one modern nation. In addition, with Lone Trail being released to the Global Network last month we can see they were also the First Nation to make it to space.

Gaul position is quite interesting. Now with the is2 we have a lot of details but still no big information weirdly enough. I think it's interesting to know that in real life, france was spared because it was important for the winning countries to keep each other in check and stop a bigger war to start. Considering that the terra's equivalent didn't make this choice I wonder if they hint to a future great war.

Patriot actually mentions them in Chapter 7, listing foes he had defeated, which is also where we had our first mention of the Mini-gun-Wielding Apostolic Gun-Knights of Laterano.
The fight between Higashi's two factions seems to be reference to 1930s Japan where the liberal reformist that introduce the industrialization and democracy in Japan is in constant fight with the increasingly militaristic conservatives that wants to restore the Emperor's dominant rule in the political system.
I thought about the Meji reformation era, but so far we haven't been shown if one side is against said industrialization. Akafuyu seems to enjoy technology, so maybe is not that way.

The 1930s is mainly with Western-accepting party-ruled faction with those militaristic-radical young soldiers faction. Instead of issue with modernization, it is the issue about militarization, the position of emperor, and acceptance of western regulated order in Asia vs the unlimited expansination to expand the ability of The Nation
As for Higashi: Higashi means east in Japanese. The Kanji looks like this: 東 Quite similar, if you ask me. Also, Tokyo is written like this: 東京. Literally "capital of the east"

Arknights's worldbuilding is about as subtle as a brick to the back of the head.
This is a very deep analysis of some fictional countries and how writer can make it believable by referencing the real world.
I wonder how long did you do the research, and what's your background study. Based some of your previous video it's somewhere in Classical literature and Geographic history.

great video, very nice, I think Leithanien is more about inspiration from the Austro-Hungarian empire post-Napoleonic war (basically the post-Gaul time is the time in terra, because the current era in arknight is called the victorian era) another thought of my theory is about the connection with bolivar and Leithanien by the counterpart (Mexico-Austro-Hungarian empire maximilian von habsburg the younger brother of Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria.) i agree with you about kazdel because a lot of names from the tribe and so on have a connection from german language but a lot of names came also from the hebrew Kabbalah
Sargon's jungle region also takes clear inspiration from central America and Mexico in that we saw 'em speak Aztec language and have Mayan pyramides in the jungle.

The Aegir might also have been influenced by J.R.R. Tolkien's Numenor in my opinion.
Well. Numenor is pretty much Tolkien's version of Atlantis.
Though I wouldn't be surprised if some bits of it come to play a role in the story.
I think Aegir is based on Atlantis while the Seaborne seem to be inspired on R'lyeh (the city where Cthulu sleeps) since it's highly likely that the great old one that Skadi "killed" is instead sleeping, it isn't impossible that through all the years of fighting their cultures might have merged a bit. Also, I don't think a blob is a very aerodynamic shape thus lowering your top speed while falling.

Also for your information skadi alter design is actually based on indoneasian myth, the queen of southern sea, which have been told to kidnap man when they swim at the beach which is her territory (quite same as her dialogue of her want us doctors to become one with her)
This also confirmed becuse her character designer is Indonesian which make skalter skin to look like Indonesian illustration of the "queen" (Her green shawl especially)
"Skadi" is also a name of a Goddess of Wilderness and Njord's wife, the God Of the Sea in Norse Myth
So maybe Aegir is a combination of myth lore of the sea exist in every mythology but added lovecraftian as the main focus

I once saw somebody say that kazdel is based on the balkans( the person who made the map used for the thumbnail) and I do believe it is better than the german theory but maybe isreal is a better fit , I wouldn't know I live in the balkans so I am probably biased af

What do you mean people didn't know Victoria was the UK? I'm a new player and it took me literally 2 seconds looking at the splash screen that appears describing Victoria while you download the game to say "oh ok they bri'ish".
Also Sargon being a mix of 3 parts of the world makes me more and more confident that is just Brazil, Brazil has so many different cultures thanks to the amount of immigration (and of course, Portuguese empire literally bringing SO MANY slaves in the 1500's). The different cultures are all mixed up into 1 big ol' pot without losing it's originality, makes Sargon sounds like here, they only show for you guys beaches and jungles, but the diversity in terrain is also massive, we have almost all types of climates, sometimes even snow if you are far enough south.
Sarcasm, it makes people notice and remember stuff more easy.
Regarding Sargon been Brazil, I no doubt there is a lot of inspiration from it, but just as much from India/the middle East.

2:26 Not entirely true. There were two revolutions in Russia - 1905 and 1917. The revolution that we saw in Ursus is a direct analogue of what happened in 1905. So everything is just ahead.

@@dokutahblob They are called "The Revolution of 1905" and "The Revolution of 1917". Sometimes called "The First Russian Revolution" and "The Second Russian Revolution". The latter (1917) is divided into two parts - the "February Revolution" and the "Great October Revolution".

Interesting,For us, it’s easy to guess HIGASHI. This country has been based on 14 centuries in Japan. Then,there are two views North/北朝 and South/南朝. They wanted to get the Emperor’s power. Emperors actually had no military power, but they had great influences for Japanese. (Until end of WW2, a lot of j people believed emperor was GOD.)
Anyway, Higashi has mixed this 14C History and modern and OTAKU culture in Japan.
I’m looking forward to Higashi’s story in terra…
