- Before he was a two-time Tea Eye Winner, one of the most inventive position fours Dota’s ever seen, and a lovable mastermind with some of the best hair in esports, Jesse “JerAx” Vainikka was just your average, easygoing gamer growing up in metropolitan Finland.
In spite of his carefree demeanour, JerAx was the kind of guy who enjoyed adversity. Who enjoyed challenging himself -- and, ultimately, seeing what he was made of.
That’s why he loved video games: because they allowed him to test his mettle without fear of consequence.
And from those early days to the game's biggest stages with the game's greatest team, JerAx has seen it all.
This is his story.

When a hero gets nerfed to the ground for years because of one player, and receives 2 buff patches when he retires. You can't deny the man is a god.

When I have a kid, I will tell him this beautiful story of how 5 gods banded together and set on a journey of hardships and brotherhood to dominate the Dota world.
5 kids came together in their darkest time, set forth on a journey to prove themselves as legends and ended up becoming gods

what I truly love about Jerax is even if OG is at its lowest he really stayed at OG even if there's a lot of strong teams that want him to be part of their team.

if you watched Ti8 and Ti9. It was clearly that JeRax was the captain in-game. He made the calls. And most of the time it was the perfect call. JeRax understands the game more than anyone

I think Jerax's motivation and complete confidence at ti8 final when OG went in to steal the rosh from PSG, was by far the most important Jerax thing to do.
He made the calls and plays. Even notail and ceb was shocked. JeRax is usually chill but at that time he was screaming the plays. JeRax understands dota more than anyone in the world

Since the MVP day, i knew this guy is a deadly player. He's my indirectly sensei and i addicted playing espirit and shaker as pos 4. Now, he just retired just like i stopped play dota since TI 9 finished. Eventho i didnt play dota anymore because i have to focus for my internship, actually i really want to see OG win the 3rd TI with Jerax in it. Man, he's the one that inspired me to master Earth Spirit. I always watch his past streams and on how he solo kill cores by himself. He also taught me to have fun playing the hero even with the difficulty playing him.

Jerax was the actual reason why Topson and Ana is so effective. If you watch Topson versus other top team mid, he rarely dominated the laning phrase, but somehow Jerax was always there to rotate whenever he needs help, ALWAYS, like this man can see the future or something.
Together with Ceb, Topson, Jerax is like a freaking machine who rotated and rotated and created so much space for Ana.
The way JeRax makes calls and makes plays is just plainly amazing.

During the last moments of OG vs Team Spirit game 2; when OG's throne was Collapsing. It reminded me of that similar moment when PSG.LGD was hitting the throne to get to TI8 grandfinals. But this guy took that away from them. I wished something magical like that would happen when I was watching OG vs TS. We will always remember Jerax. The Savior of OG.
