That's not what anyone's saying here. What we're saying is that it her role in Aliens was not racist. Indeed, it was an authentic and positive portrayal of a tough strong latin american woman. 99 percent of people don't even know that the actor wasn't Hispanic. This was me in Jr. High School. I was a nerd by nature, but I branched out, decided to try football, and enjoyed it as a defensive lineman. So I'd be having pasta parties with the jocks the night before a game talking about girls, cars, athletes and teams, but at lunch I'd be eating with my nerd friends talking about Star Wars, Star Trek, Final Fantasy, and Harry Potter.
