- Last week I made a trip to Germany to visit the large NATO exercise "Air Defender 2023". In addition, I visited Schleswig Jagel Air Base where many NATO fighter jets were temporarily stationed, especially large numbers of American fighter jets. For me personally the Fairchild A10 Thunderbolt II (Warthog) was one of the highlights.
In this video you can see 4 A10's departing for their air defender mission and 2 A10's arriving after their air defender mission at Jagel Air Base.

What a wonderful sound!!! 🤩🤩👏👏 Love the A-10! ❤❤ Think the Warthog has the best sound of any fighter planes besides the F-104 and F-4 Phantom II. Would love to see a flight display with her sometime. Unfortunately, she only flies at air shows in the States. 😥 Great video Arjan! Thumbs up!! 👍👍
At the time when they were still stationed in England you saw the A10 very often and I sometimes found them a bit boring. But these days I'm so happy to have seen and heard the A10 fly again in Europe, really cool. Thanks for watching and have a good week ahead Olli 👍🤙😊

Ja absoluut was weer mooi een A10 na decennia weer eens te zien. Ook was het gaaf om weer de Eagles te zien maar dat mag je ook wel verwachten als je naar de naam van mijn kanaal kijkt 😊👍

its a shame that you made a Trip from the USA to get to see the Hogs and I, who lives just a few hours away from Jagel, cant even make it because of a tight work schedule. But thanks to you I had a great view now on the awesome Warthog.
Are you also into DCS and own the A-10 module? In case you do, did you had the same thought that I had about the Procedures that these guys were performing while taxiing, lining up, rolling and rotating and approach? I love it.

Well I made a trip from the Netherlands and I'm already back home again so it was not quit a long distance 😊. No I don't use DSC but I'm glad you liked the video from these A10's, thanks for watching 😊👍
Hallo, 4 AC - 10C waren am 20.06.23 hier und haben den Flugplatz Trollenhagen ( M/V ) in meheren Anflügen angegriffen. Es waren auch noch 2 A400 M mit involviert. Die schein Angriffe dauerten ca. 40 - 50 Minuten und die Maschinen machten schon ordentlich Lärm. LG. Peter

Behoorlijk veld daar, zo te zien. De opname van deze kisten mogen we koesteren want deze wrattenzwijnen gaan er met de tijd toch uit dienst of worden ingezet als trainers. Wanneeris nog niet bekend maar er komt een opvolger net als een doorontwikkeling van de F 22 Raptor. Las vrijdag op internet over deze training van meerdere Luchtmachten dat de USS Gerald Ford op de Noordzee kruist en dat kisten aan boord ook mee doen.

Ja, dat had ik gezien. Maar het grappige is dat ik via Marine Traffic de carrier niet meer kan vinden. Ga ervanuit dat de Gerald Ford zijn plotter heeft uit staan. De laatst opgegeven positie was in Oslo.

Are throttle slams possible with the -10 ?
Yes, but it doesn't really go all that fast in the first place, so it's not as impressive as say, on an F-15.
