- Welcome to our exciting journey of restoring a vintage gem! Join us as we continue on the DIY renovation of our 1973 Holiday Rambler Vacationer travel trailer. In this video, we finally replace the broken glass in the back Jalousie window and start to address all of the water damage and wood rot in the back of the camper. After removing the rotten wood, we reframe the walls and replace rotten subfloor with new plywood. We replace the broken tongue jack with a new 7-pin electric jack and find some treasures at the Habitat for Humanity Restore including an amazing new square egg press, lol.

March 22 it was 70 here in Texas today but come July it will be 95 to 100. We are in full blown spring.

McMaster Carr, will have about any type of fastener that you want in bulk if you want. If you have questions they are very helpful too. Just a little something to consider, before you install the screws and indoor wall you need to level the vehicle to avoid the repaired corner from sagging down. Level the frame all around first then raise the repaired area as needed before installing walls and siding screws. You’ll be glad you did.

I was waiting for you to tell your son to hit that jack pad like it was your sister😂 when you do a aluminum patch, use pop rivets to hold them in place. I looked at a Holiday. It had a honeycomb floor. I didn't want to mess with that. The square egg thing 😂 Making progress, looks !

Well if this isn't a deer in the headlight video, then there just isn't one!! Crazy how much damage those guys can cause a vehicle. Good thing it didn't fly up and come through the windshield!! More fun parts of being a mid-westerner.
It's truly amazing the square egg press didn't become a huge hit!! Who doesn't want to press their warmr eggs into a square??
Can we also mention just how well Jack is at lowing Jack. That was a thing of beauty to behold!! Please let him know how impressive his skill set is. That can't be ignored.
Compared to Harvey, this old girl doesn't look anywhere near as bad of shape. Look how fast that old rotted wood got replaced. And the clean out of all the old junk. Who knew Tyler could move anywhere near that fast!! That was impressive to say the least!!
This is going to be another really fun project to follow along. Although, as we discovered in previous videos, the project is side bar to the antics of these two crazy kids. Thanks for another fun video!! Don't make us wait too long until the next one!!

I watched as yall took off the awning framing... i replaced one on my 30' it was very easy and well worth it in the end... Yall should paint it to match harvey the rv and tow it behind as an extra living space
We may replace the awning down the road. We thought about pulling the trailer with Harvey. It's a good idea but gas mileage is already non-existent. Maybe we'll tackle a project like that in the future 😁

Does your State have where you can get an out of season tag for certain game animals that jump in front of your vehicle? Idaho has that so the animal won't go to waste.
I'm not sure about the tag but the police and sheriff departments have call lists for people willing to come get road hit deer.
