There's a whole genre of music from the 80s called gangsta rap that was a result of all the gang culture/killings/beefs of the 80s and 90s. Then, our generation (Millennials) had drill music and trap music that was a product of all the crime/killings/beefs going on during OUR generation. The only thing that changes every generation is the words used to describe certain things, and the sound of the music.
