- Have you ever wondered how heavy machinery worked in the past? Were things as smooth as they are today, or was it all too old school?
Ever seen those massive, rusty machines on construction sites or old factories? They look like something out of a sci-fi movie, right? Stretched at lengths of a basketball court and weighing approximately equal to a herd of rhinos, these forgotten gems have shaped our world for centuries. They have done everything from building towering skyscrapers to digging massive tunnels.
Let's examine these 20 iron giants, their construction powers, and their usefulness to the world in their prime.

It is amazing how these huge machines operate with such precision.
My favorite is the HD 21 took one apart put it back together and run great
The 21 was a legend
A lot of the dialogue is disjointed, just mute and watch the video.
The 10RB shown here is not a steam powered one. It has a diesel engine. Get your facts right before publishing these films
Can't pronounce Bucyrus right.
I think he said the Alice charmers can operate for hours without a loss of power, and another dozer came with an undercarriage. Not sure how much knowledge can be shared by someone who doesn’t know too much to begin with.
These machines are not 100 years old, the person producing this vid is getting his info from Google I'm sure
@@ryanv3751and were supposed to take you as an expert when you can't spell Allis Chalmers
The scale and power of these machines are impressive.
24:33 24:37 24:38
So the 10RB weight is 50,000lb but the kohering 1066 weight is 16,500lb , you really need to do your research properly there are so many mistakes in this video 😂😂😂
what happens when they steal other peoples videos , no clue what they are talking about
Whole video is a joke
You need to do more homework son a lot of your info is wrong I’m 82 years old and drove most of them😮
I'm an old timer and work on some of these as a plant fitter apprentice 60/70s happy days
Favorite TD25 Dozer
The narrator sounds like he's about to spoof over the screen and yet seems clueless.
The CAT D9H takes my fancy hands down‼️👊🔥💫
🪖
I believe you should check the weight of the dozers you are way off on those
8050 is 6 million pounds.8200 is 7 million lbs
the fiat allis hd 11 weight was 43000 with a ripper that was the little bother of the 21 and the internonal 25 was close to 75000 with ripper you need to check all your facts on equipment
"Shaped our world for centuries" yet talks about stuff from the 50s and 70's.
Didn´t know exist? Hálf the machinery you are talking about is pretty well known
Did you just make most of this up?
Isn't Bucyrus pronounced Bu Cyrus?
Like billy or miley cyrus?
Maybe I've had it wrong for 50 yrs...
NOT worth watching. Very poor research and a lot of mistakes.
Just another one of those recent masses of new bandwagon content jerks - next to nothing subscriber count and started in the last few months.
Want to check your title? Oldest equipment, really, in your own words built in 1950’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s? Maybe that’s ancient if you’re born after 2000! The Bucyrus steam shovel yes. By the way, check your pronunciation.
You can't even pronounce the name right......
Byoo-sigh-russ
❤❤❤😂
Bad facts here! Your steam powered machines sure look like they have diesels in the engine compartment. Mute dialog and watch . Thumbs down on this Ai video.
full of mistakes. i'm out of here.
Lose the AI voice - it has no idea how to pronounce words, especially names!
You must learn the metric system. Telling us normal people that a machine weighs 1 million pounds is just stupid. Another thing is all these machines are favorites of Americans only. In Europe we have had better equipment for countless decades.
Caterpillar moves the earth, if europe comes up with anything better, send us a postcard.
@@Colt-tf6xfyeah caterpillar is big, but Volvo, liebherr and JCB are bigger and better.
@@Colt-tf6xf I reckon you have heard of Liebherr and Volvo?
Better than cat?? Hardly..
@@shaneoneil9433 Did I say that? Cat is an exception.
