My 5th, 4th, 3rd, 2nd and Great Grandfathers came from Faversham, until my Great Grandfather, James Hovell HUNT, left, to make a new life in Glebe, New South Wales, Australia as a Master Mariner. Thank you for something so simple but interesting to my family history.

So much history in this little town. My family has lived there for many generations aswell. Sounds like your great grandfather left to make a great life. 😊👍

Not sure but that looks like the huts in the Mexico are still there. My father worked therein the 40s and 50s. It’s been closed for a hell of a long time.
Many many years ago I was walking down the creek and there was a man testing the outfall from that sewer. He held up a sample in a glass and told me it was pure enough to drink - I don’t know if he really drank any, maybe that was the test lol

    Hi Natherne,
Are you able to tell me the title of the musical piece, which I think was perfect for the video.

Similar creeks in France, Belgium and Holland would have large vibrant marinas. Thanks to the Planners this is just a muddy creek. Sad.

@@podthesod Thanks Andy. Faversham is just one example of a sad lack of investment in infrastructure going back decades. Ramsgate, Dover, Rye, Littlehampton. Shoreham all the same. Compare with Gravelines, Niewpoort, Ostende. Blankenberge . Dutch inland waters... They have spent many billions or euros.. Cheers
