Cool lesson! I really like Allen Hinds' playing, he has this slithery, effortless-looking style of legato playing. I encourage you to check out his live cover of "Ode to Billy Joe" with vocalist Maxayn Lewis on youtube. His solo sound is a little noisy when he kicks in the overdrive, but I think it's a very cool solo. Thanks!
Allen has an amazing style! He does do online lessons if you're looking for some first-hand knowledge!!! ✌🏻

Hey John! I really like your Helix Presets! As you are now playing a humbucker guitar how would you adjust the tone of your preset. I see you using your strat style guitars on the videos with my favourite tones. Do you adjust the amp settings or by adding an EQ block? Thanks for your outstanding videos!
Actually I tend to be picking up a guitar specifically because it will sound different if you get what I mean?
@@johnnathancordy Thanks for your reply! I get it! I really like your cleans and with my SG when i roll back the volume to match the sc output levels some of the high frequencies get lost and the sound loses your sparkle. I think i should by a strat 🤷♂️😁

Hi John, I've been following up Allen Hinds since you mentioned him in a context of telecaster bridge pickups. Such a unique sounding player with a rare intimacy with his instrument and the strings.
Hi has a curious way of holding the pick which he mentions slows him down but allows him to access a great range of tones from picking all along the string. He was showing how to get all the tones out of the one pickup. czcams.com/video/izjja6I2klE/video.html

@@johnnathancordy He's the guitarist for Killing Joke. He's got some really amazing and influential tone that he was always very secretive about (though it's not much of a secret anymore). I've been trying to dial it in but I can't seem to get it. So, I'm reaching out to people to get their input.
