How To Be A Christian Father? | Derek Prince on Parenting

Fatherhood is derived from the fatherhood of God (Eph. 3:14-15). The purpose of redemption is to bring us to the Father (John 14:6). Knowing the father is the climax of revelation (John 17:1, 6, 26).
What It Is To Be A Father:
A. Purpose consummated (Rev. 22:3-4 [compare Rev. 14:1])
B. Human fathers represent the fatherhood of God
C. Father represents Christ to family (1 Cor. 11:3)
D. Ministries of Christ which the father represents
Bible teacher Derek Prince uses three images to describe the role of the father.
1. The first one is the father as priest-represents family to God:
a. Sacrifice of intercession for family (Job 1:1-15 [compare Job 42:12-23])
b. Each father to apply the blood (Ex. 12:3)
c. Faith of father (parent) for children (Mark 9:23-24)
d. Father has privilege to claim salvation for family (Acts 16:31)
2. The second one is the father as prophet-represents God to family:
a. Fathers responsible for spiritual instruction (Eph. 6:4)
b. Discipline with grace (Col. 3:21)
c. Ongoing communication in a non-religious setting (Deut. 11:18-21)
d. Pattern for last days-Noah as prophet to his family (Heb. 11:7)
3. The third one is the father as king/governor-to rule or reign:
a. The elder required to rule in his home (1 Tim. 3:4-5)
b. Abraham was chosen because God could rely on him to command his children and his household (Gen. 18:17-19)
c. Abraham-a pattern to all believers (Rom. 4:11-12 [compare to Lot in Gen. 19:14-16])
How To Fill Your God-Given Role?
A. Acknowledge your responsibility
B. Humble yourself before God (1 Pet. 5:6)
C. Trust God for the grace
D. Be diligent
E. Make it the first claim on your time

I have only just found this amazing awesome man DP. .he helped me to give up drugs and stay clean and he still helping me .understand Jesus and God. Blessed to find him. I didn't know he has passed away until today. Although I'm saddened by the news. God works in mysterious ways. Blessing me with DP.

Salvation is found in no one else (except Jesus Christ), for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved."
How is SALVATION gifted to man?
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.
📖John 3:3 says,
Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, Except a man be Born Again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
How can a man be BORN-AGAIN?
To be Born-Again in spiritual sense, is to die to our old sinful nature and be born-again in the spirit, to be holy, righteous with a new nature in Christ Jesus.
👉To be born-again, we need to repent & confess our sinful past for a holy future.
What is repentance?
👉 REPENTANCE! Everyone born into this world is a Born-sinner. Human nature is a sinful nature. Sin in us has defiled us and has separated us from the Holy God!
We have to repent for all the unholy, lawless transgressions of God’s commandments done willfully or unknowingly, in order to obtain mercy and grace so that we might not be judged and fall into condemnation, the condemnation of eternal hell.
📖 Acts.3:19 says,..✔️Repent, then, and turn to GOD, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the LORD
What is confession of sins?
👉 CONFESSION! The guilt of sin and it’s condemnation is rolled away if one truly regrets his sinful past and confesses them in the presence of Jesus Christ.
📖Romans.10:9 &10
✔️That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
📖 1 John, 1st chapter & verse 9 says..
✔️If we confess our sins, He (Jesus Christ) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins(every sin)...
The sole purpose of sending Jesus Christ into this world more than 2020 ago is this👇
📖John.3:16-17 says "
👉 GOD so loved the world (us) that He (Father GOD) gave His only begotten Son to die for us ( our redemption ), that whosoever believes in Him (Jesus) should not perish (in hell) but have everlasting life.
👉 GOD has not sent His Son to condemn the world (us), but the world (we) through Him (Jesus Christ) might be saved.

I believe mostly because it's much more common for fathers to neglect their responsibilities or not do all that is expected with the role.
Whereas most (not all) mothers have an u unbreakable bond with their children and will do all that is necessary in order for them to survive and prosper.

CHRISTIAN ADVICE FOR NEW PARENTS - The most effective way to quell a rebellious mind in children is to put the fear of God into them when they first start to trust the word of adults, couple this with a generous serving of guilt and you are on your way to a mostly harmonious journey through their childhood. As soon as they can comprehend you should tell them that there is a man in the sky continually watching them and writing down everything they say and do, they should be grateful that this invisible Skydaddy created them and allowed them to live, but don`t step out of line kids because there is a place he will send you which is full of horror. Have other adults reinforce your beliefs and keep pumping it into them so that they will spend a good deal of their young lives feeling guilty, paranoid and unworthy. When they reach puberty explain the sins of the flesh, Jesus expects them to remain pure and you are letting him down if you experiment or think about sex, really pour it on about their responsibility to the invisible man, keep a close eye on everything they say and do, remind them that there are bad demons out there trying to get them to stray so that they can throw them into the burning pit. At about age 17 your teenagers will start to question your beliefs and will begin to explore other attitudes and beliefs in this big wide world, STAMP OUT THIS BEHAVIOR IMMEDIATELY, through punishment, nagging and more guilt trips, really lay it on, you can`t have children thinking for themselves. By now the guilt and paranoia will be deeply ingrained into their personality and you can manage their minds if you see any danger signals, encourage them to only mix with people of their own color and faith. Age twenty they will have started to form relationships with people you approve of and the responsibility for keeping them in line now rests with their new partners, you can begin to relax. Early 20s they will leave home and marry, they will employ all the strategies you used in their upbringing on their own children, you can help them with this. CONGRATULATIONS you have succeeded in raising religious, guilt ridden, paranoid robots who have caused you minimum fuss and dramas, you can relax now, light up a joint, bring out the bourbon and go about the remainder of your life with the feeling of self satisfaction and condemnation for all the other failures who didn't follow the instructions of the invisible Skydaddy, Praise the Lord.
