Sammy did a video last week and mentioned Michael in a positive way, there is a level of respect.
I thought Sammy as a sociopath before watching his videos. He comes around as completely different than I thought. Very entertaining to watch.
@Nicholas I'm no psychologist, but with Sammy I think it's more complicated. The way he tells his stories, he understood what he was doing even back then. He knew who he was hurting beyond just the person who was his target. It seems like he could have a lot of anger, and still can as an old guy, but he was also calculating in his violence.
@Nicholas May be true. I'm not suggesting he was a good guy. And clearly did awful things. Things that hurt people and families involved. But I don't sense he got any joy or pleasure out of it. He was in the life, you do what you're told. I'm not justifying it or saying it was right. The life is not right. Things he did were awful. I guess I'm saying there's a difference between Sammy and someone like Roy Demeo. Who I think got pleasure out of the things he did. But I think Sammy definitely has some issues, don't get me wrong. But I'm a Christian and believe in redemption. And hope Sammy has found it.

Saw a video of Franzese from 9 months ago and he was saying Samy has a great channel and to visit it. What a good guy Mike is.
My pops passed away last year and listening to Michael talk brought on a flood of emotions. sad he is not with us, but happy and full of pride. My pops was a union delegate, very connected and was about that life. Hearing him talk about things like respect and honor and using a word like code that are so foreign to people today made me value my pops and my values he instill on me.
My dad was in the unions also never connected but preached the same thing

I watched the exchange and I have to say that Michael showed so much control and respect. I noticed that Sammy’s conduct changed dramatically when Michael no longer was talking and looking at Sammy. I think Sammy took it as disrespectful and the conversation went south. I respect Michael for letting Sammy have his feelings. He is a real boss for allowing and understanding that Sammy needed to have his moment. Both men unfortunately to this day, you can see the pain in both their eyes. Words are words. They both are dealing with the repercussions of the life they lived.
Sammy is an informant, he betrayed his brothers, he gets no respect

Honestly both channels bring something unique to the table. Michael comes from the perspective of a racketeer, and its pretty interesting seeing his interviews, and analyzing mob films. Sammy is an amazing storyteller who really knows how to bring you into his experiences.

And I think why people find it so entertaining is because it is a closed off club and mysterious. I knew(not even saying i guessed, it was so obvious) that part of the underlying animosity between Sammy and Michael was about them being in different sides of the life, not knowing eachother at all and Michael was around people who didnt like Sammy and vice versa but they never had heard the reasons why they did what they did so its kind of impossible to understand and know what those reasons are.
Sammy commented on his own channel about the sit down that Michael just uploaded a video so you know hes alive, ha ha ha!
