Hashimoto Doll Store is a doll-making company that has been in business in Kyoto since 1751. He determined to take over his family's Kyoto doll store from an early age. He started making dolls at the age of 23, and has continued to preserve the beauty of yushoku, a craft that has been refined over 300 years and passed down from generation to generation. He has also been practicing calligraphy since childhood, and is said to be a professional-level calligrapher.

I use to make dolls similar to this, but nowhere as beautiful as these. Unfortunately, my hands have become shaky so I can't do the detailed work anymore. It was a privilege to see this.

I also used to make dolls in my school life.. ..although we had different process .. faces were sold in market made of ordinary clay.. but we used to get more durable faces made of paper mache or plastic..

私の実家には幼い頃祖母に買ってもらった七段飾りの立派なお雛様があります。
何十年も飾らずにいましたが、数年前久々に飾ったら、何十年の時を経ても変わらず色褪せない当時のままのとても綺麗なお人形たちがいました。
この動画を見て一生大事にしていこうと心から思いました。
私の家にも三段程ですが美しいお雛様があります。
最近飾らなくなっていましたが貴方の素敵なお話を聞いて私も今年お雛様を出してみようと思います。

絶対に、絶えてほしくないですよね
丁寧な工程で、高い技術で 心を込めて作られているお人形
雛人形を出し入れするたびに、心が引き締まるように感じていました
そのような瞬間、そのような機会があることは、想像以上に大切なことだと思います
３月３日 ひな祭りに 女の子の健やかな成長を願って 雛人形を飾る習慣が 日本にあってよかったと つくづく思います
工程をお見せ頂きまして、本当にありがとうございます
その着せ替え人形は恋をするの影響か、人形造型の影響か、オススメに上がって来たので拝見させて頂きました。
頭師さま、眼球に傷を付けずに彫り抜くのが凄いです！
着せ恋で五条くんが頭師のじぃちゃんに「線が柔らかくなって良くなった」って言われてた意味が解りました。
眉も生え際も繊細ながら軟らかくコシがある毛並みが凄い！
髪結師さま、今はストレートアイロンがあるのに未だに昔ながらのコテを使われている所に感動しました！
人間に大垂髪を結うのと同じでつとうらやかもじを使うのも感動です！
そしてつとうらも切りながら調整されるのも驚きです。
そして1本1本調整されるのですね…
凄い！
手と指を制作される方、老眼が始まりかけの私は目をすぼめながら観てしまいました😂
爪まわりのシワや爪をあんなに大きな彫刻刀で彫られるのですか…
爪紅というか元の色の爪の色を塗るのも凄い…
セルフネイルで「はぁー、つっかれた！」と昨日なっていた私には考えられない小ささです…
お着せをし、全てを組み立てる方、リカちゃん人形や球体関節人形と違い着せるのが難しそうなのに力強く、しかし調整は繊細な微調整をしながら着せていくスピードに驚きです。
人間でも大変なのにあのサイズをザザッと着せる手際が凄い…
雛人形は元々は子供の形代。
そして人形には魂が宿ると言われるのも納得です。
私の雛人形もこうやって職人さん達が作って下さったのですものね…。
38歳独身で実家を出ていますが雛祭りには母が実家でお雛様を未だに飾ってくれています。
いつもは帰省せずに母が送ってくれる雛人形の写真を見て「ありがとうね～」でしたが、来年の雛祭りの時期にはきちんと帰省して自分のお雛様に感謝を伝えたいと思いました🎎
