The middle section of the butt turns to unlock it. Cut out a little of the leather handle and remove the nails first then you can unlock the middle section. Great job.

Whos platen are you using on your 2x72 grinder? I haven't seen one quit like it similar but not exactly the same. Good job thanks for sharing

I use the combo platen from Ameribrade. I think that's the 6 inch contact wheel.
