The autograph score of this concerto from the 1710s is preserved complete in Turin. However, the first movement was actually copied from an earlier draft, which still exists, because it was given to Pisendel as a gift during his 1716-17 visit in Venice. That original, preserved in Dresden, has slightly longer ritornellos and a few solo passages that were struck out and not reinstated in the Turin version. On the reverse of the last page of the first allegro (in the newer Turin version) is a slow movement that Vivaldi abandoned after a few measures. It was recently recorded by violinist Timothée Langlois de Swarte in an elaboration by musicologist Olivier Fourès, and I include it here at the end.
