Camping On The Beach In A Huge Storm

- New videos every Thursday! Beautiful wife and I are enjoying some time out of the freezing weather, but there was still a storm to be had out on the coast of Vancouver Island. There was flooding, states of emergency declared in a close by municipal district, but we hunkered down in the Gazelle screen tent gazebo for the night. Salty air blowing through the tent, lots of rain pitter-pattering on the tarp, and some good beers and sandwiches! Was a blast, and I highly recommend this type of storm camping!

After watching the heartbreaking video about losing your wife, I had to come watch this video again. This is my favorite video of yours. I think in a live stream Beautiful Wife said it was hers, too. I'm watching in her honor tonight, Steve. My prayers are with you.
Steve Love 💕. Your still in my thoughts and prayers 😢. Just a shame we never got too actually see her on camera. God Bless you and any family members Love 💕 😢😢❤❤❤
Did his wife really pass?
@@albertriddle7114 Sadly, yes. Just a short while after his 1 million subscriber live stream.

Love this guy. He's the Everyman that all guys wanna hang out with. Plus the fact that he talks respectfully of his wife and her wishes. Class!
Yeah. I watch a number of bushcraft and expert-level camping channels that depict camping from a very advanced view, canoeing through very remote Canadian lakes for a week and such, but Steve presents camping in a way that is more likely what the average guy will experience. Just a normal guy who likes to camp on the weekend. It's nice.
Well said
SS👍...SURE, LOVELY SOUL, Stev buoy🍁🌿🌹🍃...!!!
Steve's what you get when the average handyfella watches Joe Robinet and gets inspired, but then realizes there's no way they're gonna sleep on sticks and leaves when they have a perfectly good shower curtain and some old curtain rods laying around the shed.
@@rafetizer That is the perfect description of this channel.
The Mrs. being with him always makes me happy that Steve's enjoying it out there with someone he loves

It aged perfectly.
R.I.P Jess. This was such a heartwarming video to watch back when it released. The connection you two share here is pure.. Sending love Steve.
Steve, I love how you are so diligent in picking up other people's trash. That's my biggest pet peeve. I'm a fisherman. I'm constantly picking up discarded fishing line. I've actually made signs on my local lakes and ponds begging people to police their line. Not only does it hurt the wildlife and damage our fisheries, but it makes us all look bad. Thanks for your efforts and commitment to conservation
nobody cares bc the population is exploding meaning being green is worthless. just another family that will have 200 dollar electric bills made from coal and they will buy a tesla thinking they are green. Really no point to doing it if more and more people grow and aren't interested in sustainable ways of life. I quit going out of my way, doesn't even save much money compared to the 3 million dollar house that makes my property taxes higher. But now I live in a van bc of all that and just shit on their streets like they shit on mine.
I only eat Tesla burgers and smug pie.

Hell yeah, I love living near the water. Always take summer off days to read and have a few bevvies by lake Onterrible. Maybe even the occasional nap with the giant spiders:)
I don't know about that. Maybe when you arnt so close. I've done it on the Washington coast and it was an extremely anxious sleep. I thought it would have been amazing

There could be a tsunami but....oh well. Yeah, that's next-level stuff.
No joke was watching this after work and fell asleep twice lol. Second he went to bed that sound knocked me out. Woke back up. Hit rewind. Watched up to that point and knocked out again. Realized I wasnt going to win.
I loved it when the surfer walks by in the background and Steve tells us there are people out there...
That was hilarious, perfect timing!
Camping with Steve has turned into one of my favorite CZcams channels. He always makes me smile. I love his calm voice when he says,

When you brought out that beer, leaned on the shovel, and basically raised your glass to the coming storm, I thought, “What a freakin’ AWESOME Canadian!”
I subscribed because he pulled out a beer ..he was getting shit done and having a cold one ...that's my life motto lol
For anyone who doesn’t know, Steve’s documentary Boondocking is a masterpiece, almost an hour long showing how he started this journey many years ago.

Hey Steve. Just want to send a wee message. I've watched your videos for a few months now and think you do a fantastic job. You're inspiring and great fun to watch. I'm not an avid watcher of CZcams so when I subscribe it has to be something special. You seem like such a genuine guy and have a passion for what you do and the environment. Lazy thursday off and now it's time for camping with Steve. Perfect.
Supposed to be my Thursday off, but, we got several inches of wet snow and it began to freeze. Spent 8 hours in the truck, snagged some cold snacks on the way home, hung up the keys and here we are.
When life gets overwhelming I come here to hunker down with Steve. Thanks for the content!!
I like this! So true ✌
Me too! I've had a really bad day and I knew that hunkering down with Steve and beautiful wife would cheer me up.

You put the HUNK in hunkering down! That was such an amazing display of hunkering down that I called a friend, and I said, "Hey, you have got to turn on CZcams and look at Steve. I'm getting to the point where once a week isn't enough to get my Steve fix so I'm going back and watching re-runs, and this is a really good one. The roulette one where you spun a wheel was also really great because it became a game for me to see if I could use the clues, gas stations, road signs to follow along to where you ended up.

Steve - you're a legend brother! I'm sat here at my desk in Ireland, but I was there in that tent throughout the storm with you - what a superb video! Thank you!
I know you're not going to see this, but as counterintuitive as it seems when you're putting down a footprint/tarp under your tent you want it to be a little bit smaller than the tent so it doesnt stick out at all. That will prevent rain water from building up on top of the tarp
Interesting! I’ve been doing it wrong.
I love that you always preach being clean and respecting the land you get to enjoy. It really is a privilege to be able to just go and experience this. Thanks for that man. Love from AB

We brought a gazelle gazebo only 3 panels we huddled in it for 2 days with rain had plenty of step 2s. we tied it down with 2 gallon buckets full of concrete had to throw a tarp over the top had the same table and a buddy heater. 3rd night we woke to strong winds and had to take down the gazebo in the middle of the night. We still say despite the weather it was the best trip ever. We take our gazebo on every camp trip since.
