Congratulations on your first purchase in the watch game. Friend, that's too much for that watch. I honestly thought/think it's a $150. piece tops. For that price, there are a number of far better watches, with better movements (the internal mechanics of a watch), and with an automatic movement. (BTW, unless a watch has a battery, all watches are "mechanical".) Manual wind is pronounced "wynd" - like wine. NOT like the wind from air movement. Look at mechanical watches with "automatic" movements. They have a rotor attached to the movement that spins from your movement. After moving a few gears & levers, the rotor winds up the "mainspring". We're getting into a few chapters deep of Horology 101, so I'll stop. I've been a watch wearer for over 42 years, and an avid collector for 23. I've had some heavy hitters of both vintage (Seiko) & more modern watches. 5 Omega, 4 Tudor, and several more fabulous brands with Swiss Made movements. In 2018, I was in-process of going to the Rolex *Watchmaking School in Pennsylvania. (*Watchmaking/watchmakers is a modern name for Horology/Horologists - the original names. Think of them as mechanics school/mechanics for watches.) I'd be more than happy to chat about watches. Until then, congratulations on the watch. Nobody's opinion matters, except for yours. If you like a watch, wear it with confidence. 👊🏼🫵🏼🤟🏼
