Tensions simmer in the Indo-Pacific region as China's actions spark concerns. A recent incident involving Chinese Coast Guard's use of water cannons against a Philippine vessel in the South China Sea adds to a string of similar events, alarming nations like Japan, Taiwan, and the Philippines. China's significant military presence in the disputed waters is perceived as a threat.
The US, in response, has formed a new regional alliance - The Squad - comprising Australia, Japan, the Philippines, and itself. This alliance aims to present a united front against China's assertive behaviour in the Indo-Pacific. The plan involves two key strategies: boosting military cooperation among member nations' forces and strengthening the Manila’s defences.
The effectiveness of this new alliance, however, remains to be seen. Previous alliances like the Quad and AUKUS aimed at countering China's influence are yet to deliver substantial results. Will The Squad be any different? Palki Sharma tells you more.

Should not compare Apple this way. Since Apple has always targeted middle and upper segment only while Nokia and Samsung always addressed all three segments so comparisons should be divided into segments since Apple never addressed lower segments even overseas.
