- This film is dedicated to every person who worked and still works at the Chornobyl NPP.
The first part of the cycle: "Seven Days after the Accident at Chornobyl Unit 4" tells about the night of April 26, 1986.
The film is based on the Chornobyl archives, investigation materials, post-accident investigations, monographs, and memoirs of the direct participants of the ChNPP Unit 4 accident elimination.
This story is about how under conditions of high radiation fields the power engineers localized the accident at Unit 4; how the emergency shutdown of the three operating RBMK Units, decommissioning of equipment with a complete cooling of the systems and the reactor cores were carried out. All this and much more became possible owing to the extreme concentration of strength, will, knowledge and professional skills of all workers of the Plant, at all levels: from Units shift supervisor to equipment field operator, from senior reactor control engineers and shift electrical technicians to decontamination and active laundry workers.
This film is dedicated to all those who worked and still works at the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant.

Thank you for the English!
but they still mispronounced WWER wrongly as VVER ...
Thanks to sir Nikolaï Steinberg. He continued to work in unit 3 he started 6 may. He was the only one to said in front of caméra that all his Friends were severaly injuried by radiation and in hospital. This man is very courageous. Big respect to you mister Steinberg 🙏🏽
I still think there should be a documentary on the Workers of Unit 1, 2 & 3 during the unit 4 meltdown & aftermath reaction.
There are some inteviews with those workers here on CZcams, but they're in Russian/Ukranian.
Heroes💖 Thank you for everything, thank you for uploading the video!!!
One of the best documentaries on chernobyl.
Wonderful Documentary. Best one , yet!
Thank you so much for the English translation. It is such an important global event it's great to be able to understand what these people went threw and suffered. Looking forward to visiting the site in May!
Thank you for sharing this ChNPP - a fascinating broadcast.
Thank you :)
Very nice!
When will make the other parts in English? I've been waiting and wanting.
Couldn't you make the background sounds even louder we can still hear you
Interesting video. The guitar music reminds me of the 1985 BBC fictional nuclear drama Edge of Darkness.
How did I get here?
Are you planning more series (either in Russian or English)? The last episode is on May 1st, that is only the sixth day after the accident.
We plan to mount the last, part 7 of the film (in Russian voice acting). And on this the cycle “7 days after the accident” will be completed.
Excellent documentary, great translators. The world will remember 1986, a lesson to everyone in the world that will have heavier use of nuclear technology as carbon-fuelled energy has to be reduced.
I'd be interested on your thoughts on molten-salt reactors and their future.
Nice one thanks from the UK

This is going to have english subtitles?
The film is completely re-dubbed into English
@@ChornobylNPP Thanks for your effort !
@@ChornobylNPP Very nice! Thanks a lot for this.
Great thank you
Anybody knows what has happened to Kirschenbaum in the later years?
I‘ve read that Kirschenbaum left Ukraine and settled down to Israil due to his jewish roots
Question: Can Visite the reactor 4 Or iss this Not allowed any More, for a Trip to Tschernobyl ?
visit.chnpp.gov.ua/en/
That guitar playing to me just doesn't sit right with me in the intro, it just sounds like guitar Tourette's.
Otherwise it's a good documentary thingy :v
Anybody knows what happened to Kirschenbaum after the disaster?
Жив, здоров, живет в Израиле.
@@ChornobylNPP Спасибо за ответ! Что нибудь можете сказать о Трегуб или Давлетбаев? По моему их воспоминании об аварии--самые потрсающие из всего что о ней написано.

Stop the chnpp decommissioning to prevent such accidents
