What I like about Arweave is you pay once and it is stored forever. With Filecoin, etc you have to keep paying
Filecoin are mutable storage so it has its benefit also the ifps has released light of house where you can store the data permanently as well

My thoughts around these 2 projects was that FIL would be more suited to the average user, whereas AR would be more suited to corporations, especially when it comes to the fee structure

agree, PBN underestimated (misrepresented as 'old') the ecosystem filecoin has and is developing into web3. Wonder if some the capacity reductions noted with filecoin are just a temporary reflection of (now failed) draconian policies in China.

How can you promise lifetime storage? You still need people to store it even on IPFS. Its like other non web3 IPFS storage solutions, its centralized and dependent on the business to keep files pinned -like pinata.
Lifetime storage claims should be questioned more.
Just crazy to me that FLUX never gets a mention on this channel, especially when on the topic of remote storage and useful work.
And FLUX has its own wallet, it’s own mining, and all the other stuff Paul mentions of shortcomings or Arweave.

Filecoin is way ahead of the curve compared to Arweave. There’s a reason FIL is breaking into the Top 25 coins by market cap.

Love Arweave a lot more than Filecoin. Not just because of use case but because Arweave is not being pursued by SEC as a security. There are a lot of unknowns about Filecoin. I am staying away from it.
