A CV is a "Curriculum Vitae". Basically a Resume
Job application form. Commonly referred to as a CV. Curriculum Vita, Latin for "course of life". I can see King boomer reading at like, resume a phone call, lol
Oh good, my American brain auto-translated it correctly!
CV is such a common saying around the world, just not america...
Don’t ever say Curriculum Vitae on the front page of your CV!
@@shawnurch8755 No, that is incorrect. CV is resume which is different from an actual job application. You are often required to send your CV *with* your job application, but they are completely different things
It's really funny that you keep having computer problems while you watch the IT Crowd lol.
Have they tried turning it off and on?
@@Dreynolol you stole my words
you there, computer man...pull down my pants and do your job
'Is the missile launcher bothering anyone else?' Well it is *now*...! 😆
Only if someone (mentioning no names) keeps mentioning it on every punchline.
I hadn't even noticed its existence...... but I have now
The irony of having issues with your computer while watching the IT Crowd. 😂
Did he turn it off, then turn it back on again?
Hard to believe Facebook was new when this episode came out
"There is no such thing as a stupid question. Just stupid people." - Mr. Garrison
Why is north yellow and not six?
I know that this question makes zero sense and can't be answered, one could only take it apart completely and try to address the various false premises within it.
But since there aren't any stupid questions, I'm sure you can answer it, right? Right?
The thing Roy is playing with is an instrument from Yamaha called Tenori-on. There are demos of it on CZcams.
I have one, loads of fun.
Loved it when Bill Bailey composed a melody from a swastika on one to create "beauty from hatred"
"Zenith" and "Quasar", Moss's fictional child names, are actually the names of companies that used to manufacture Television sets.
and oranges are orange
Quasar is a sub atomic particle and zenith is the very height of a mass in space.
@@kevinmulligan9055 Actually, a Quasar is a celestial body that emits massive amounts of radiation and quantum particles. It is not a quantum particle itself.
@@DavidSmith-pg1ob
He was probably thinking of a Quark.
Quasar is also the name of a laser tag game beloved of sci-fi nerd kids in the 90s.
32:57 The classic soap-opera moment when they turn away from the person they're supposed to be talking to for the dramatic speech.
I didn't know that was a soap thing, I've only seen it in Smallville. Oh god, the amount of times they did it, though.
I remember being able to throw sheep at people on Facebook. 🐑😂
OK we REALLY need the King & Queen to react to What we do in the shadows,
They're going to love Laslo Cravensworth 😂
The original film is even better 😊
Quid is like 1 pound boss
Thanks for the info chief
They paused and forgot to rewind an amusing bit when Moss says he’s got better things to do than talk to friends and flirt with people.
Guys you kill some some classic comedy moments with a badly timed pause. Jen: "JESUS CHRIST! I mean Jesus Christ" 😂
Yeah, and for some reason they didn't play the friendface cartoon advertisement at the beginning of the episode before the point where their avatars fall down the elevator shaft.
Don’t take the Lords name in Vain
@leonidus336 this is the wrong show for you then 😂
Queen Boomer: "She's a beaver."
Me: "Well, dam. "
"I lock you in the house" LMAO
CV is a 'Curriculum Vitae'. It's what we call a resume here in Europe
we are not in europe.

"Have you tried turning it off and on again" 😂
Edit I wrote this before I got to the end. Its good your following Roy from the IT departments advice 😂

On the tape recorder😂
Holy cricket! I'm a very early muppet!
Loving the IT reactions, even though I've seen it quite a few times before it's nice to sit back down and watch it with you guys, bonus your hilarious commentary of course.
YOU GOTTA WATCH "BLACKS BOOKS" WITH DYLAN MORAN!!😅😃😂😅😃😂👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Being in the minority of completely hating Matt Berry I sure hope KB takes this on board and nothing else he's in. He's as irritating as sand in the arse crack
Dog is saying, "BEHAVE YOURSELVES YOU TWO YOU'RE EMBARRASSING US!!!"
CV : Curriculum Vitae
I believe you would say "resume"
Indeed.
résumé, if we're being pedantic.
Haha if someone asked me for a resume id look confused and probably say im not a chief sorry dont have one
i never knew what that meant either i always assumed it meant cover letter for a resume but didnt know why it was called cv
@@env0x Curriculum Vitae (CV) is Latin for "course of life" and supposedly coined by Leonardo Da Vinici in 1482. Allegedly, Da Vinci, had written a list of his skills and experiences and sent them to the Duke of Milan. As he was offering his services in designing structures such as bridges, sculptures and boats.
In contrast, résumé is French for "summary." But served the same purpose. For about 450 years a résumé was simply a description of a person, including abilities and past employment and it didn't take on the more professional look in terms of its presentation and content like we know them now until the 1970's.
It was also somewhat bemusing to me that the US went with résumé over CV because one of the main differences between American English and British English is that Brits kept a lot of the spellings and pronunciations of words that were absorbed from other languages, mainly French and German. But, about 50 years after the US had gained independence Noah Webster the lexicographer published the American dictionary and it's theorised that he wanted American spellings to differ from British spellings as a way of showing independence and I'd guess that the French option of résumé seemed more straightforward than the pretentious sounding Latin word the Brits were using.
If you enjoy Douglas, you'd probably enjoy Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, it was the first thing I saw him in, and it's hilarious. (Moss is in it too)
Such an underrated show!
@@tomdownes7527 Definitely
Yeah Garth Marenghi's Darkplace is brilliant
did you notice his teeth when he said, heaven in a can lol, that`s what cuke tastes like
Surely it's not that bad, I drink 1.5L daily when at college for 5+ years without that effect, and yes I didn't brush my teeth that often, so nice how well it cleans them
lol@@mlee6050
Nuke rhymns with Puke
yeah so does cuke@@lesibi
Cuke, probably tastes halfway between coke and puke.....or just regular coke actually. I've gone right off that poisonous shit in recent years.
My friend had an exercise addiction. Chose exercise over everything, birthdays, work. She even missed a funeral. Now at age 40 she has the bones of an 80 year old and a small heart. Which means circulation problems. Also she had to have both hips replaced at age 30. Queen B is right.
I’m up at 4.30am feeding my 6 week old baby you’re helping me to get through the night feeds. And this was the cutest upload with the 3 of you dancing at the end! My dog also just wants to lick my baby 😂
Woo, new IT crowd video! Love you guys!
The thing Roy is using is called a Yamaha Tenori-On, theres switched on the side which you can use to control the different sounds. Unfortunately they are discontinued now :)
(I only know this because the first time I saw this I really wanted one haha)
Aww, your nipper looks so baffled by the IT Crowd!😳
Love the way you said there is no such thing as a stupid question then 5 minutes later jen asks if he has any attractive successful looking friends 🤣
you guys should look at the IT crowd outtakes and bloopers. some are hilarious
She's right he's wrong every addiction is addiction and it's not good.
We need a photo now of the Shrine of Brian 😅🤣
Another British show you could consider is our lesser-known answer to Friends (not officially). It’s called Coupling.
Worth it just for Jeff!
Yes, _Coupling_ is brilliant.

C.V stands for Curriculum Vitae basically what you would call a Resume
Most people use CV and resume to be the same thing but actually are slightly different. You would use a resume as a relevant one or two page summary of your career in order to apply for a job but a CV is supposed to be a complete list of your work history and is it's more suited to academic or scientific field where they would want to know everything you published or presented at, research grants etc etc.
My 47 yr old son played Pong, Pa man as a kid....played sports till 17, but video games were so new he started slow. Today he designs them!!!👍🏼❤
You need the IT crowd for your computer.
Great reaction as always That was very cute moment at the end with you all dancing!
"Computer says no" 😆
*Cough*
I'd recommend a forgotten British gem of the 90's called Stressed Eric. Think it would be right up your street. Would love a reaction video. All the episodes are on CZcams too so an easy find! ❤
Once you're done with the IT crowd I think black books with Dylan Moran would be a good watch it's hilarious

I'm glad she likes the dog, it's so cool growing up with a pet. ☺
Moss’ message alert “message for me” was my text alert years ago. Would still be it if it wasn’t for apple’s stinginess.
Cv stands for Curriculum vitae it's what you give to employers to show where you worked, exam results e.t.c
This episode was a rocky build-up to a great second-half.
QB's story of having a boyfriend shrine in the basement foreshadows Joker woman's desperation in this episode.
You can turn off system sound notifications in settings.
On gaming addiction, ADHD and autism can be a factor. The addiction can be the ability to focus or drowning out the white noise of things they can't control.
Hahah when your keyboard started beeping I thought you had messages coming in on A"friend face" 😂
If you love British comedy, try "Zapped". Your favourite, James Buckley, is an office temp that gets transported to alternative universe of wizards, orcs and fairies.
Hilarious.
The way Jens talents increase when told by Moss and he hams it up makes me think he took some pointers of Douglas. 😆
"Are you seeded?" "Bit of a personal question, Terry, I'm highly seeded!" Graham Lineham at his finest!
I always like the confused look on a babys face when people dance them like puppets (35:40 approx). They have no idea what's going on but as soon as they realize it's not a bad thing they have a look of acceptance.
MySpace was great for music
Well done for deflecting all the " Have you tried turning it off & on again" comments . A lovely reaction .
Intro worth the entry price alone - show hasn't even started, I laughed!
You have some very good episodes coming up. "Final Countdown" is a favourite.
I liked to think 'Cuke', rather than just being the market-leading caffeinated sugary drink (but with a 'u' in it's name) was more a mash-up of 'Cøke' and 'Puke'.
What a great episode! I've been waiting for you to get to this one.
My keyboard did that a lot and it turned out the wire inside the cover was near busted. New keyboard = solved problem.
People addicted to working out is a thing, they can end up working themselves too hard and their bodies start to break down. I heard of a woman who was like a triathlon runner, she died from catching a cold of all things. No immune system left from always exhausting herself.
This episode isn't part of your It Crowd Reactions playlist, almost missed it! You should add it to the playlist!
I'm watching this with my tv on mute, had a quick look and saw moss on tv. Advertising some bank.
We found that funny in the Uk as to poke(slang term) means to finger, imagine that, poking your mother, think they thought better of it.
Actually the shagging usage that king boomer alluded to is the more common interpretation in th UK. I suppose there can be regional differences though.
I once went to Brighton (I live in Kent) and someone asked if I wanted a sandwich in their local terminology and didn't know what they meant.
@@craiggodard6419 Indeed, here in Scotland a poke is sex.
If you got a bad eye,try to remember to remove the spoon from the coffee mug before drinking .
You MUST check out Snuff Box - Boyfriend Sketches.
It has Matt Berry aka Douglas Reynholm and they just build and build. Hysterical!!!
Maybe the usb connector has cracked where it is soldered to the motherboard?
Can happen if a usb connector gets bent way too much.
School reunions??? NOPE!!!
Friends reunited was my first introduction to social networking.... god I'm freakin old 😂
CV is curriculum vitae which I believe you call a Resume in the US. Basically a list of your experience and jobs you've done which you give to employers when applying for a job.
Roy: What now?
Moss: Haven't really thought this far.
I find it hilarious how they both look to the side for a second and then decide to just leg it. 🤣
Talking about poking people on facebook.. in my teen years, I was bored one night and just went down my friends list poking literally everyone. I had no idea the association to what "poking" meant. Was a real awkward day of school the next day.
At the time when this episode aired it was only Facebook that existed. Instagram launched in 2010
Your faces at Alison's poem. Priceless😂
Close to the 100,000 .well done
I was addicted to working out when I was a teenager. It was quite a big problem. also wasn’t eating enough to go with it. Queen boomer is right that all addictions are bad
10:25 it was called "Doom". Or before that, Jet set willy, manic miner or sweevo's world.
Edit**** Alan Partridge - Narcissistic sports pimp.
A year or two ago, I noticed that you could actually still 'Poke' on Facebook. It doesn't look like you can now, but it was still a thing after all those years.
I was in on the early years of MySpace, back when I was at University twenty years ago. Back before it was much more basuc, before it was all music. That, and Livejournal. Ah, those were the days...
(Also, did you skip the pre-titles 'Friendface ad', or did we just not see you react to it?)
That drink looks radioactive.
Cv stands for curriculum vitae which is a Latin thing. Basically is a part of job application where you list achievements and experiences
"Everything in moderation. Including moderation."
Zenith was an awesome comic book story in the 80's published in the anthology comic 2000 AD, Quasar was a Laser Quest type thing in the 90's as well as an Astrophysics thing, Moss could have been naming his fictional children after either.
ooooh..thats lovely guys...so nice to see your family with you...we loved it
"Eating wood" and "Beaver". There are jokes in there!
My native language isn't English but I am kind of baffled that you don't know what a CV is? It is the only term I know for it in English and it is also understood in other languages. It is short for Curriculum Vitae (lat.) and it is the record of your former employments and your education up until that point and you give it to a potential employer at a job interview. There has to be a term for it in the US as well!
Hope this isn't offensive, but I kind of dig when you guys get technical difficulties and the shenanigans that ensue. It's like having an "IT crowd" within "IT crowd"! Very meta.
And, King, also loved that pitch perfect imitation of Reynholm Sr: "Do you? Do you?!"
I miss Gatorade we don't get here in Ireland...i always liked the light blue one..i think its called cool blue or something.
18:37 - Don't know if you're aware of that word yet. "Pissed" in British means drunk, not upset/angry as it does in the US. Just an FYI 🙂
Another great one guys ❤
Aside from "Haunting of Bill Crouse", this may be one of my favourite episodes, though I'm still looking forward to "Jen the Fredo"and "the Final Countdown".
The Joker girl killed me: "Without you, I am a husk..."
"A what?"
"A husk..."
Your kid just stole her dad's genes 😂
Everyone seems to miss the pre-intro credits "Friendface" advert when they react to this episode. The guys over at ETS did the same in theirs, is it just missing from the episodes you guys have found?
C.V is short for the Latin curriculum vitae. It translates as "course of life". In American English this is a resume.
Princes boomer is adorable.. You have got to watch Garth Marenghi's Darkplace (Moss and Douglas are in it)
CV Is Curriculum Vitae which means its your work and education history written up for a prospective employer. I think Americans call it a resume.
I suffered from a USB disconnect and reconnect for a long time... I didn't know what it was. I noticed a drive that was appearing and reappearing. It turned out to be a USB hub with Ethernet. The drive was a virtual one on the hub to install the network driver. Got rid of the hub, no more issues. It's a common issue with the RTL driver installer. The USB connections worked fine.
