Holy smokes... This is the kind of podcast I was looking for.... Thank you Meghnand. Got to know your 'existence' {:)} from Cyrus Says..... Brilliant convo...... Loved the mind gymnastics of the thought articulation bordering around social behaviour, perception... And these are the biggest chunks of 'kohinoor' if you will, one can claim or have control over. Its no more what is the fact of things, but what your perception of it all, that creates the reality.
BTW in line with Hikkomori, the way things are playing out in the global stage, the West with all its prosperity has reached its saturation, so much so, that a descent from the peak is inevitable... E. G. America.... With all its woke leanings, as somewhere I read, a civilization indications towards its death, lies in decadence of every aspect of existence, social, cultural, spiritual, that accelerates the absence of one's own identity. While the West is plummeting, the East, is rising(in terms of facets lost by the West,) .... As in nature where all is cyclical, not having a balance will surely see you swinging from our extreme to the other... Excuse the rant, just excited with this podcast!!!

This was so interesting! I'd never heard of Hindutva trads or raita, though I do see right-wing white women posting with the hashtag "tradwife" or "tradlife". Not so much with men. My favorite part was the raitas who think trads are a leftist conspiracy. I agree with Kajol that until I started learning about how the alt-right works, I couldn't fathom where all these childish bigots were coming from: Innuendo Studios's "The Alt-Right Playbook" opened my eyes. Also agreed that Contrapoints is awesome, as well as the recent wave of pieces about the manosphere created by Black video essayists like F.D. Signifier, which brings the colonialism angle and highlights the money-making grift that manosphere influencers are doing! Like Raj, he thinks these kids need role models, but it's hard because these men are looking for easy answers to tough questions.
Anyway, I'm so surprised by what you did and didn't find worth discussing about Qanon. And while I'd heard about people demonizing SSR's partner, I thought it's just that Godi media hates powerful Bengali women, so I never made the connection to anti-government conspiracy. The point about misunderstanding mental health is so sad but true. When you were talking about suffering and meaning, and blaming people for their misfortune, it actually made me think of karma, but on a shorter timescale than a whole lifetime. In the US it's the American Dream (not MLK's dream!), but I think especially for people who are Manusmriti fans, of course they expect the world to be perfectly fair in the long term.

I found the episode entertaining, but there seems to be a clear bias as far as the political spectrum has been represented. Majority of the right wing too hate Trads. This episode could've been looked at with reasonable individuals on both sides of the political spectrum

Two comments-
-In place of the lady, you should have called someone from Raita (Trads won't come) to explain their pov. - -Also, your thesis, it appears, is a resultant of studying visible Trads, who are essentially late teens to early 20s guys. Beyond this are grown ups, practising Hindus, scholars et al,. who remain away from this cacophony. Then there's NRx, which isn't explictly mentioned here, but happens to drive a significant fr. of trads talk points. I think you may have come across some of that, but this podcast was essentially an introduction. This limitation reflected in your conclusion as well.
Political compass is not really a good measurement of political inclination because the test is biased. It was possibly made by libertarians to show everyone is libertarian. I have seen stalinists getting left libertarian(lower left quadrant) where they should be authoritarian left (upper left quadrant).
