In the video, I forgot to address the fact that we crossed through 4 states in one day (or one flight for the other guys who didn't have to land), but it was a huge highlight of day 2. To really see the states/terrain we crossed over, check out Caleb Johnson's video of all of our flight paths over Google Earth (link at bottom of this comment).
Thank you again Brad Roper at Southern Utah Paramotor for letting us use your LZ and for your hospitality. Also, thank you to everyone else who surprised us and came out to chat, help us out, make us breakfast, wake up at the butt crack of dawn to see us launch, etc! We Appreciate it! Enjoy the video and stay tuned for more. It only gets more interesting!

awesome trip guys❤
@@AlanMydland-fq2vs Thank you!
The bad part of this video is because it finishes… Great video!
FINALLY.... someone else who quotes the "body massage machine" thing before starting something. I thought I was alone for so long.
😂I've got too many of those GI Joe spoofs memorized. "Give 'em the stick. Don't give em the stick. Ooooooh"
@@MarkHuneycutt "Hey Kid! Stop all the downloadin..." is a phrase used often in IT.
Bro, turned around in your Paramotor is absurd XD
Im going to do the same across europe, love the idea man!!!!
DO IT
Thanks for leaving those 0 wind attempts in there. I been feeling down about my launches lately and it really cheered me up to be reminded no one has a 100% success rate and I shouldn't be so hard on myself.
AND I took the 2nd attempt out - too many boring attempts. Nil wind launches are the hardest, especially with a bunch of weight. I'm not sure what wing you have, but trimming out just a little bit sometimes helps with inflation if the manual allows for it
Right there with ya! Man, it’s horrible too because you know the air is butter!
Inflight maintenance…..you the man!!!!
Glad you didn’t hit bad turbulence while performing inflight maintenance, you’re the best
Dude, two videos and I'm addicted already!
I'm currently in St George Utah for the next few months. I see those fellow fliers flying over me out here in the desert all the time.
Safe travels to you guys!
Thanks! Hit up Southern Utah Paramotor if you're trying to go see them fly.
@@MarkHuneycutt definitely! Was it Sand Hollow State Park that you landed in?
@@ericcox6764 no, but nearby
So cool!
Y’all are true aviators!!
Thank you sir
Amazing, looking forward to the next!
That’s a awesome app to show you your flight path
Brad’s got a kink in his setup. His wing only fly in loops.
Freaking love it, brad roper is the man.
Super job on flying and video! Had me dreaming and flying over that area again! Nothing like a lovely tailwind to get up and cover some distance. You’re crazy-chair-mctwisty had me on the edge of my seat! Great Adventure!
Thank you sir
Awesome adventure and your videos are amazing bro! Can't wait for the next one.
Thanks man!
Love the adventure , reminds me of myself driving scooters across the country with all the little stops along the way on back roads
Another amazing flight video. Love the views of the mountains.
Wow this series is so cool! What a stunning way to see the USA!
Just about the best way!
Very well done. Good narration and photography.
Wow, 🎉that was cool, beautiful scenery.
Awesome! Was definitely waiting for this one!
Really enjoying these videos of your adventure! Thank you for sharing it with us Mr Mark! 🙂
Loving this adventure so far! Keep it up!
I love watching you guys. I am in my early 70 ‘s now but would love to try powered chutes. Been flying most of my life. Have fun
I recommend you try Paramotoring but with a trike. Check out Fly Products brand for their trikes. Pros to paramotoring versus PPC: lighter, easier to transport, no licensing requirements, more fuel efficient, etc etc
Living the life! Thanks for sharing it with the rest of us!
That's pretty bad ass. This is inspiring me to do a cross country
Would it be possible to make these cuts about 20 minutes long? Feel like there's so much more to see! Legendary trip you guys made, and I would love to see as much as possible. Launches(failed and successful), in flight with shots of the view, you guys talking about it, and whatever maintenance stuff you're having to figure out on the go. This is great stuff man, loving every minute you share with us.
My last video is over 20 minutes with everything you ask for if you go watch that. I only have what I recorded. The next one could approach 30 minutes because we accomplish a lot day 3.
@@MarkHuneycutt
That's why I mentioned it, day 1 video felt like the perfect length with all the content. Longer is better with everything you guys did, looking forward to the rest for sure
@@artoodeetoo3064 I think day 1 was longer due to the prep day as well. Day 3 will be really fun to watch. Thanks for watching
Epic journey for sure.
Cool stuff man!!!
Dope bro. I love it and i cant wait until i buy one and start flÿing. Ive been dreaming for a long time. Its time to make it a reality. Beautiful travel
So awesome guys! I've always wanted to do a coast to coast unsupported. Maybe someday. I need much improved skills but it is a hoot watching you.
Lovin this adventure , stay safe all !!
Epic trip for certain. I'm jealous
WOW, great job guys and nice work catching that power line and quickly getting the good landing. Crazy cool adventure!!👍✌️🇨🇦
I watched like six of your videos today and wow what an amazing day of adventure lol I fly (around all the lakes and rivers in the San Antonio Texas area) too but your adventures are so cool and your videography is bad ass Mark. Really enjoy your stuff.

Great Video Mark
man, you flew right over the blythe intaglios, one of the coolest things to see from the air in that area just west of Parker...Also, damn, Havasu can get busy!
Saint geezy! Tons of gliders here
So awesome! I gotta get out more .
Great adventure!
Dude the production level on this video is just *chefs kiss* 👌
Your content gets better and better all the time. Keep up the great work man, blue skies. 🪂
Great video,❤
Great job Mark - riveting! ;)
Dude this is rad!!!!!! Hell yea
Been watching since yestiday.
Gonna fly soon, just don't know how soon.
Sailboat,or paramotor,Sailboat!!
Or paromotor,!!with an A wing.
Safety and all.
Or mini moto, kyak and parameter combined.
Perfect length of time for a video!
the next one will be imperfect!
Next: Alaska to Argentina on Paramotors👏
why you cant fly over the grand canyons ? helicopters? (i'm not from us )
The grandcanyon has multiple no fly zones with corridors for sightseeing aircraft in certain areas as to limit the amount of disturbance to visitors on the ground. So the only areas you can fly are heavily congested with relatively fast moving aircraft to a paramotor. Best to just avoid it.
Awesome and scary at the same time
Epic.
never thought i would hear a Fensler quote here! I'm digging this adventure son... think I may have found a new retirement hobby. fly safe.
I've seen all these. Did not know Fensler did them. One of my favorites as a kid:

This is all new to me... Loving the adventure! Do you have to file a flight plan? And or do u have to communicate with towers?
There is no requirement for either unless you're trying to fly into Class A,B,C,D, or E (to the surface) airspace
camping for the night on that Flat spot at 8:10 would be amazing
agreed! Would have to look at if that specific location is allowed/not protected. Caleb had a lot of camping sites for us mapped out but we were just moving too fast
I knew this was capable.
Go ,!! GO!!
im gonna be doing same ass shit!!,heare really soon.
Just amazing wish I was with you
What kind if planning do you do for crossing class airspace
I've been reclining in the wrong spot.
Do you use adsb-out? I almost flew into a paramotor a few years ago that was flying in a pretty dangerous area between two busy airports. No radio, no adsb-out. Basically 2,000 agl in the departure path if you were departing to the South.
I'm maybe one of the less than 20 paramotor pilots to have it. You can blame the FAA for thinking we (ultralights and specifically paramotors) don't need it and making the process to obtain it very difficult and expensive. 6-8 month wait times, thousands of dollars, and in the end when you register, you have to select from the classes - airplane rotorcraft, glider, weight shift control, powered-parachute, etc - none of which we fall into, to include any class in "etc". Therefore, you're potentially registering "illegally" if they let you pick one of those classes (powered-parachute is the closest resemblance but very different in terms of license, rules, and size), according to one FSDO I spoke with out of many. Not to mention, the majority of FSDOs I spoke with have to call you back after they do their research on what a paramotor even is after spewing off rules from the wrong CFRs. You'd think the FAA would see the exponential growth of paramotors and want to keep the air safe but here we are. This is also an unlicensed sport. I hate to say it but those dudes flying near your airspace may have never read a CFR or sectional in their life and may fly straight into class B airspace. It's a problem and because of that, we will likely be regulated one day.
So epic... what is the music in background 13min 20 s?
Ooyy - Aoraki
I find myself using his music a lot. Good stuff
Mark which do you enjoy flying more, helicopters or paramotors? Which is safer?
awesome!! when is the next video!?
Today
Do you need to contact traffic control when flying your paramotor?
Mark, how often or percentage were you on the speed bar?
0%. Purposely didn't bring it. Doesn't help with efficiency. We just had kick straps for comfort
Glad you Guys are Young, as a Old Fart, I would have Loved to done this Trip on a Trike, that much weight on the Back Trying to Run is for the Young at Heart...
Will you guys be going through south dakota at all
Nope. Trip ended April 19th
What did you use to record the altitude/GPS data? It looks so awesome in Google Earth!

@@MarkHuneycutt Thanks! Will have to try it :D
What was that throttle you were using? And did it have a cruise function?
It was Nirvana's standard throttle on the F-Light. No it didn't which was sad because my favorite throttle is the Off Grid Aviation I ALWAYS fly with. Adapting it to the Nirvana is hard and I didn't have enough time. Hope you're doing good.
Mr Body Massage Machine GO!
Which engine are you running? Doesn't sound like a Moster. Almost sounded 4-stroke-ish but I know it's not.
Simonini 200 on a Nirvana F Light frame
Have you ever herd or seen a new person doing great only to find their fear of heights kick in, once they got up-up and away, on their 3rd or 4th flight? Do the straps and seat cancel that out?
Some people don't like flying high in this sport, yes. Straps and seat help people who are afraid of heights. I'm not a fan of leaning over a building but being in control and strapped into a paramotor is not scary at any height
💚💚💚🙏
Good afternoon, brother.
I'm stationed in Korea, down south in Daegu. Flying is something I've been wanting to do for the longest time now. I have no experience with a paramotor whatsoever, but I've seen CZcams videos and want to give it a try.
Are there any locations or people you might know who could help me with this journey?
P.S. I love your content.
Glad I could help you get in touch with Greg
Do the planes know that you there? Can they see you on radar or something?
With ADS-B Out going they can if they have ADS-B In
holy crap.. how do you prevent possible collapses during the day, isn't it dangerous?
active piloting. Can be
Lots of shoulder fatigue from flying with your hands on the brakes for hours... before giving up and riding out the scary bits! The Viper XC is amazingly stable and collapse-resistant when trimmed neutral or slow. I wouldn't attempt this trip in July though. April was plenty thermic enough. Of course, any flying anyone does is at their own risk.
Привет от пилотов параплана из России!
Расскажи пожалуйста, нужно ли у вас получать разрешение на использование воздушного пространства? Или вы летите куда хотите и никого не уведомляете о своем плане полёта?
Nice hgu-56p
Thanks
Man, that inflight turnaround was sketchy! The no restart sucked lol
What happens when you start to pee and realize the pee tube came off? We all know it's impossible to stop mid stream!
That's where the mountain dew bottle really shows irs value.
Garbage bag chute...
By by..
Luckily, the condom catheters I bought are extremely sticky and never failed. I think Chuck's may have though 😂. His weren't as sticky.
If you have any doubt, pee slowwly and see if it comes out, heh. And if nothing does, or if you feel warmth or wetness downstairs, STOP! And why would it be impossible to stop mid-stream? You have a muscle to stop it! Indeed I had one instance where it had come off and I let a small bit of pee out before stopping when I attempted to use it. It was fine: all dry a few minutes after undressing post-flight. Gotta get myself an order of Mark's condom catheter product!

I'm here only for the steak dinner.🤤
for a mini grill we found laying out there, Caleb did a real nice job on those steaks.

Nice video. Not how you pronounce Nevada btw, “A” like apple, “Nev-A-duh” .
Doubt it
@@MarkHuneycutt you’re probably right, every Nevadan must be wrong 🤣
@goobtechgarage114 just used to people visiting and butchering Appalachian, but I don't correct them. Plus, Nevada is a Spanish word made by the colonizers. Probably not pronounced that way🤣
@@MarkHuneycutt I’m not even going to try to pronounce Appalachian correctly haha.
Man, talk about a flight to remember! What was your average height above ground you guys flew at?
Here's a screenshot of the terrain elevation underneath us as compared with our altitude for the duration of this flight! Please forgive the lack of any scales, as this was just a visualization for my little project to sanitize my overlapping GPS data. The horizontal axis is time, and the vertical axis is feet above sea level, ranging from 0 at the bottom to 13,000 at the top of the image. My data shows altitudes from a thousand to 9,400 feet or so, averaging what looks like a few thousand feet above ground level, but in reality anywhere from 0 to around 6,000 feet above. i.imgur.com/qPO3qo0.png
