Absolutely. They could do it in the same sort of narrative format as Ace Combat 4, when you first face off against Yellow13 and get curbstomped, barely limping home with most of your wingmates dead.
if you are not picky about graphics, you can try to play Mobile Suit Gundam: Federation vs. Zeon from ps2. there is story mode where you can play as your own side character and witnesses the main event.

They are more powerful in terms of technology but still the pilots were not experienced hwn they first got into those suits. But then those pilots are known as newtype the evolving human race that has more capability in piloting suits and has the ability to sense others feeling that’s why they are a better pilot than the average of the zeon pilots
from gundam the origin manga the feds did have their own pre mobile suits which were the older guntank models (google it, the one you know from anime if you seen it is different from the origin version) with same case for guncannon. they werent as agile or fully designed for heavy combat but mainly for dealing with riot or terrorist situations. zeon developed the proper mobile suits that were more mobile, faster, manuever in space well and got better weaponry then what guntanks and cannons had. it was until amuros father started the project to develop the gundam which rivals zeons mobile suits with 2 were made. the rx-78-1 gundam was the first prototype which was built on schematics of the guncannon with some improvements with 78-2 being the improved one that later amuro pilots. 78-1 was seen in the origin manga on colony 7 being tested but destroyed by a 2nd squad of zaku 2s infiltrating the colony. if want to know bit of zeons history of developing the zakus watch the origin films for chars origin and helps show how they evolved over the years to eventually be zaku 1 and 2s. WARNING: major spoielrs ahead. the origin manga changed alot of things from the anime so if plan to read it stop reading now. also note for the origin films going on now those are set in vol.4 to vol.7 from the manga. 5 4 3 2 1 as the sotry progress in origin when they get to jaburo thats where they gave the data of the gundam to the mechanics in charged of building the GMs which were the mass produced versions of gundam. compare to the anime the first GM models were damn weak looking but in the origin story they were almost as strong as the gundam itself. when jaburo got attacked the gms prepped in the base fend off against the massive invasion by zeon. sleggar had his own gm squadron before later got destroyed in (if i remember) texas colony before he pilots a core booster. plus back to jaburo in order to give the data to the mechanics they had to open up the gundam and examine the wiring and parts to make adjustments. so when char attacked in the zgok amuro was in the gm when he fought char and not the gundam. plus the zock NEVER appeared in jaburo but later changed to appear later when white base was docked somewhere else after the battle. besides the origin more on the gundams being developed were expanded in many mangas like the lost war chonicles from rx-78-3 to 9.
Because the person who pilots it is a MC. If a weak grunt is a MC, it performs well. In my opinion. Though of course, you don't have to be a MC to be a badass like the Stark Jegan Pilot, who isn't a MC yet is a badass in MSGUC Ep 01.
Character shields were in full effect here, unfortunately. Those two Zeke pilots should have each taken a beam through the reactor like the first scrub Amuro killed.
It's really criminal how terrifying it is to fight against Amuro Ray and the RX78, it this brightly colored looking thing on the battlefield that's virtually immune to your standard arms. Moves so much faster than anything you have seen and seems to react before you even decide to attack.

Amuro by this point in the war is probably the most combat-experienced pilot in the entire Fed force, who constantly sortied every weeks with experience fighting in space, on Earth, underwater, underground, and facing not just regular MS squads but also several unique types of Mobile Armor.
That was a younger Anavel Gato, its Canon he saw Char and briefly battled Kai and Amuro during the Final Battle at A Bao'Aqu and Was subsequently rescued by Chars Zeong which happened to detect Amuros Presence. The Other Feddy Pilot is from Stardust Memory as well, he just isn't using the iconic Bernien yet at that point. Im surprised no one really noticed that Gelgoog was a Dead Giveaway to Anavel Gato's Identity. and the Survivors quote at the end is telling us about 0083. Play Encounters in Space after finishing Stardust Memory Chapters with Gato and you will now see him in The Final Battle, He will have a brief fight with you, and Char will interrupt you leading to the Zeong vs Gundam Battle.
Wow, that series looks aeesome. They need to release every single gundam film and series in the U.S. we love our Gundams, and Gunpla- Stores actually have a hard time keeping them on the shelves in my area!
It wasn't a series, it was the opener for a video game. Which makes porting it over a bit more difficult since that's a lot of translation work that needs to be done for a game that was on PS3. From what I saw of a playthrough on youtube some cutscenes had that quality of animation but most of it was in game graphics which understandably weren't as good.
The GM love's gotten a lot of recognition, but I swear this is the only piece of Gundam media that shows OYW Mobile Armors being worth a damn. Next closest I think would be 0083's Val Varo, which is basically a Char-custom Bigro.
Yeah this is probably some of the best representation GMs get in any material. I always saw the baseline GM as something the Federation was FORCED to make to meet demand. Sort of their equivalent to the British Sten gun. The beginning of the OYW was a surprise attack and the Feds clearly weren't ready for it. A lot of their production capabilities were destroyed and they had to rebuild and retool and start getting mobile suits out the door within a few months! The GM Command and others, are what was INTENDED in the original V Project design phase. The differences are far more than skin deep. They have better reactors, better thrusters, better frame mobility, better shaped armor, etc etc. Almost two entirely different lines of mobile suits. It's clear from the sheer amount of leftover V project parts, that they intended to mass produce something in between the baseline GM and the RX-78. Look at the RX-79 Gundam "Ground Type" and the many very high performance GM derivatives that were able to be designed and built within a few months. A lot of those parts and designs were just laying around ready to be used. The wimpy OG GM is NOT what they had intended to build from the start as the parts left over suggest they were aiming much higher in performance. GM Command is basically what I feel the baseline GM would have looked like given another year for the V project to cook. Also, going by the "intended" design, if the GM Command is really what the GM-I was supposed to be, the GM Custom would be the real GM-II. Same kinda placement within its era, being built directly with leftover parts from the upgraded RX-78NT1 project.
I love the GM command. But even so, the standard GM is basically the gundam minus the learning computer and with weaker armour. They have better performance than every zeon suit, minus the Gelgoog.
@@MichaelCasanovaMusic Oh yeah absolutely. Zeon lagged behind in armor and reactor technology which hurt their ability to use and defend against beam weapons. However I don't feel the base model GM had enough armor to make the difference, and at least for the base model the reactor output was still pretty modest. I can't really argue with the beam spray gun. Just plain better than any standard mobile suit weapon Zeon fielded for most of the war. This isn't to say we should ignore the mobile armors, the aquatic suits with beam weapons, the one-offs, the experimentals. Zeon made lots of stuff during the war WITH beam weapons or particle cannons that could pancake a base model GM, but not in useful numbers. Zeon had very few suits capable of supporting beam weaponry and the Gelgoog was basically too little too late. That said, I still think the GM Command is more what the V Project was aiming for. Look at the Gundam and the massive amount of tech and actual V Project parts that went into all the late war Federation suits. Sure the GM is technically better than the Zaku II, but the GM Command and GM Sniper II and others are nearly super weapons. In a lot of ways they really are just a more basic Gundam and they somewhat outclass the newer GM2 as well. BTW have you played Gundam Crossfire? If you can get past the horrible framerate or emulate it's totally worth your time. It gives the GM kickass representation. The federation campaign is just straight easier than the Zeon one because of how much better the GMs are than the Zaku.

後半の戦闘描写が注目されがちだけど個人的には前半の補給シーンの設定の作り込みも見ててワクワクする。
1978年当時のガバガバ（悪口では無い）設定で書かれたサラミスでのモビルスーツ運用を現実的っぽい描写に落とし込んでるところにスタッフの努力が見て取れる。

@@user-ve2ty5ht5g イナクトでエクシア相手(完全初見)に生存(入院はした)、ナドレと相打ち(その後フォンに蹴られて地球軌道に戻り生還)、ガガの特攻を喰らうもしっかりと脱出ポッドで脱出し生還、ELSに取り憑かれ自爆しようとしたらちょうどクアンタが来た事により生存(その後結構長い間戦闘領域のど真ん中に生身で放置されてたけど生還)などなど色々とおかしい。その他にもヴァーチェやスローネアインのバ火力ビームに反応し回避(他の奴らは大抵撃墜される)、ジンクスIIIでアヘッドを圧倒、ほぼ独力でライフル一丁のジンクスIVで前線で戦い続ける等操縦技術もエグい。なんなら普通の人間で考えるなら最強のパイロットとも言える。変態とかリア充みたいな人外達に負けずとも劣らないスペックを持った不死身の兵士。それが、パトリック・コーラサワーって男。

シャアとかエースに配備された先行量産型がガンダムと互角かちょい上で、学徒兵とかが乗ってた普通の量産型がガンダムよりちょい下ぐらいかも

Wow, that series looks aeesome. They need to release every single gundam film and series in the U.S. we love our Gundams, and Gunpla- Stores actually have a hard time keeping them on the shelves in my area!
It wasn't a series, it was the opener for a video game. Which makes porting it over a bit more difficult since that's a lot of translation work that needs to be done for a game that was on PS3.
From what I saw of a playthrough on youtube some cutscenes had that quality of animation but most of it was in game graphics which understandably weren't as good.

3機だけとは言え、補給中だと無防備だからねぇ。ただこの3機もリスキーで意味不明ではあるけどね。
戦闘中の前線を放棄して、どこに居るかも分からない暗礁宙域の補給艦隊をモビルアーマー3機も使ってフラフラと探してる訳ですからね。下手をすりゃ敵前逃亡で何の手柄も上げられずに終わるし、仮に見つけられたとしても補給の終わった元気な敵部隊に後方支援も望めない位置でぶつかる可能性もある。
まぁやられた方の補給部隊は運が悪かったって感じですね…。😓

ミノフスキー粒子の影響で目視で索敵しないといけないため見える距離で追いかけようとすると、逃げる側は味方の中を後退して行くので追いかける側は敵の戦線に突っ込む形になってしまうため見えない距離を迂回する訳ですが、そうすると探す側も見えない事になるので、どこに居るか分からない敵を探すよりは普通に目の前の敵をモビルアーマー3機で攻撃した方が効率が良さそう、といった感じではありますね。
もしくは目の前の戦闘を避けて最初から後方部隊を狙っている辺りで直接戦闘に向かない、又は撹乱を目的とした部隊だった可能性もありますね。

The GM love's gotten a lot of recognition, but I swear this is the only piece of Gundam media that shows OYW Mobile Armors being worth a damn. Next closest I think would be 0083's Val Varo, which is basically a Char-custom Bigro.

ちなみにこの時点でのアムロにとってはマグネットコーティングを施し従来の3倍以上の反応速度を得たガンダムですら遅く感じるから、それ故にNT-1アレックスと言う専用機の開発が行われたと言う。（ある人の考察によればアレックスが予定通りロールアウトされてたらシャアは手も足も出ず蜂の巣にされてたかもしれないなんてな話も）

アムロがアーバオアクーから命からがら逃げる羽目になったのは、ジオングに腕と頭部を破壊され、最後はガンダムを棄ててシャアにトドメを刺しに行ったから。
もしアレックスにアムロが乗ってたらジオングを簡単になぶり殺しにして、この時期のアムロは戦争の元凶たるザビ家を絶対殺すマンになってたから、キシリアの首を求めてア・バオア・クーの中枢を目指してたと思う。

両軍とも技術の全てを突っ込んだような機体だもんねえ
アムロにフォーカスを合わされて（シャアが来なかったらやられてたとしても）生き残ったというだけ凄いよ
全部クオリティ高すぎるんやけど特にお気に入りなのがビグロ強襲のとこ。
全速で突っ込んできて射撃姿勢にもっていくためにアームを広げて姿勢制御してたり、一撃離脱が売りのビグロなのに取り付いてゼロ距離メガ粒子砲浴びせた挙句誘爆に巻き込まれる奴がいたり、速度落として呑気に撃ってたらユーグ隊長に撃ち落とされたり。そして唯一残った1機は速度をある程度保ちながら全速で離脱した所からビグロの一撃離脱戦法を良く表せてるし、一撃離脱なんだから撃ったらさっさと逃げろってのも表せてる。

Yeah this is probably some of the best representation GMs get in any material. I always saw the baseline GM as something the Federation was FORCED to make to meet demand. Sort of their equivalent to the British Sten gun. The beginning of the OYW was a surprise attack and the Feds clearly weren't ready for it. A lot of their production capabilities were destroyed and they had to rebuild and retool and start getting mobile suits out the door within a few months! The GM Command and others, are what was INTENDED in the original V Project design phase. The differences are far more than skin deep. They have better reactors, better thrusters, better frame mobility, better shaped armor, etc etc. Almost two entirely different lines of mobile suits. It's clear from the sheer amount of leftover V project parts, that they intended to mass produce something in between the baseline GM and the RX-78. Look at the RX-79 Gundam "Ground Type" and the many very high performance GM derivatives that were able to be designed and built within a few months. A lot of those parts and designs were just laying around ready to be used. The wimpy OG GM is NOT what they had intended to build from the start as the parts left over suggest they were aiming much higher in performance. GM Command is basically what I feel the baseline GM would have looked like given another year for the V project to cook. Also, going by the "intended" design, if the GM Command is really what the GM-I was supposed to be, the GM Custom would be the real GM-II. Same kinda placement within its era, being built directly with leftover parts from the upgraded RX-78NT1 project.
I love the GM command. But even so, the standard GM is basically the gundam minus the learning computer and with weaker armour. They have better performance than every zeon suit, minus the Gelgoog.
@@MichaelCasanovaMusic Oh yeah absolutely. Zeon lagged behind in armor and reactor technology which hurt their ability to use and defend against beam weapons. However I don't feel the base model GM had enough armor to make the difference, and at least for the base model the reactor output was still pretty modest.
I can't really argue with the beam spray gun. Just plain better than any standard mobile suit weapon Zeon fielded for most of the war. This isn't to say we should ignore the mobile armors, the aquatic suits with beam weapons, the one-offs, the experimentals. Zeon made lots of stuff during the war WITH beam weapons or particle cannons that could pancake a base model GM, but not in useful numbers. Zeon had very few suits capable of supporting beam weaponry and the Gelgoog was basically too little too late.
That said, I still think the GM Command is more what the V Project was aiming for. Look at the Gundam and the massive amount of tech and actual V Project parts that went into all the late war Federation suits. Sure the GM is technically better than the Zaku II, but the GM Command and GM Sniper II and others are nearly super weapons. In a lot of ways they really are just a more basic Gundam and they somewhat outclass the newer GM2 as well.
BTW have you played Gundam Crossfire? If you can get past the horrible framerate or emulate it's totally worth your time. It gives the GM kickass representation. The federation campaign is just straight easier than the Zeon one because of how much better the GMs are than the Zaku.

この時のアムロはシャアとの決着の方に気をとられていますしね。
本来、ガンダムのビームライフルはザクを一撃で破壊できるがそうならなかったのを見るに『ザクを無力化、戦闘不能にし、僚機に回収させて敵の数を減らす事ができる最低限の出力』でビームを撃ってるんですよね。
アムロはザクの構造を知り尽くしてますから。
