- In this week’s “Real or Fake” we’re not only delving into the infamous night crawler known as “The Rake” but we’re also looking at some other creepy creatures you guys are interested in. We’re ripping apart the Michigan Dogman legend to see if there is anything real about it. We’re also looking at the Trunko sea Monster, and the alien found caught in an animal trap known as the Metepec Creature.

THE RAKE
It’s tall and grotesquely thin, with a blank face and straight lined mouth. Some have claimed that it stalks its victims in the dead of night…haunting their dreams, driving them to madness and suicide.
But others say the malevolent creature known as The Rake is just another internet hoax…an elaborate web of anonymous postings with no real evidence to back it up.
This argument is no doubt why my inbox is full of people like Chud Nofski, Jack Haydon, Volt Jolt and many, many others asking, “Hey Bill, is “The Rake”, real or a big fat fake?”
Well guys, why don’t we snoop around and see what we can find out.
A quick search of the internet reveals tales of “the Rake” by literally hundreds of people in online forums. There are dozens of videos on CZcams, including one from a broadcast news channel showing this, the most famous picture of the Rake.
Combing through the stories we find everything from a woman in upstate New York claiming the Rake killed her husband and daughter, to a guy in Canada who says he found “the Rake” waiting for him in his pick-up truck. A tattoo artist told of being attacked by the rake at a catholic boarding school.”There are also historical accounts going as far back as 1691 when “the rake” allegedly attacked a British boat.
Now to be sure, none of the stories are confirmed by any reliable documentation, but what I found surprising was the almost total lack of evidence proving “the rake” was a fake! In fact, there is a real life pastor of a Pennsylvania church out there claiming “the rake” is real.

Afraid to burst your bubble but, the rake is likely based off a possibly real creature called a “crawler” Luckily there is no need to be scared still, as 1 they may not exist and 2 based off my research they never attack humans and only stay in dense forests

The Rake is actually REAL! I was at a football party with my buddies in Northern Georgia. Around 12:30 AM me and my buddies went outside due to a strange sound. What we saw was some ghost with glowing eyes. Then my buddies and me searched up "ghostlike creatures in Northern Georgia", A image we saw was the rake. I said "this is it". After that we compared the image with the ghost, it was identical. Then we heard a loud screech and it started to run very fast and try to kill us. Oh and did I mention that there was no houses except the one I was in. So Bill, maybe this sighting I saw with my friends will change your mind.
